I have Britons and Americans doing menial jobs in my company, are you saying those two countries are doomed. I repeat nobody sleeps in park here except luxurious bus parks that those itinerant workers sleep in their office. For people to constantly reside in the park as their homes. No way. Visit akwa ibom and believe me. All parks in Uyo are well managed. I repeat, never met anybody that lacks an abode in AKS. Note that most parks close from 8pm and we don't do night travels here. If you visit after closing hours you will be surprise that you will find no one, ask those that arrive late from Lagos and Abuja, they wait till next day before they see anybody to arrange cab for them.

I understand @chigo4u's point. No insults intended. But is is common news that PHC slums (batchers) are filled with folks from Akwa Ibom. It seems wierd to me. I have driven to Calabar numerous times, and I passed through Akwa Ibom. It is indeed a nice place.

It's not everything you must complain about.

There are issues you see and you just move along.

Just because the idea isn't one you might have taken doesn't make it wrong.

Majority of the so-called returnees repatriate billions of dollars annually into the Nigerian economy.

1 billion Naira in a thousand years is not too much to spend on them.

Not majority but 100% of US citizens pay tax to the US government wherever in the world they work, yet US still charged them top dollar for plane tickets.

You can tell us the virus is real, That’s alright

You have 2 good friends in isolation centre right now, That’s alright

Questions: Have you seen your friends result ? When last did you check up on your friends family and what was their take on the issues ? Was a result presented to the family as an evidence of them contraction the virus ? Something is not actually right which I can’t tell.

Go to Yaba infectious disease hospital and you will testify (LOL). I used to think HIV was a hoax "back in days" too since I had not seen any positive person before. Not until the day I saw the queue of people taking anti-retrovirus drugs for HIV patients in a teaching hospital.

Now HIV is as normal as fever. Kids of today won't understand the struggle to believe it's existence back in the days.

Corona Virus is real...it's as real as electricity. You can't see it, but it is there. You can't touch it, but it has changed the world.

I have been here from the beginning of this thread, this is my second post. I have been with MBA before this thread was even created. Here’s what I have to tell you...
An average Ponzi scheme always want more money in irrespective of how much small you’re bringing because they’ll rely on that to keep paying people until they have got enough to disappear with. Currently,

1. MBA doesn’t allow anything less than a thousand USD for registration.

2. You can’t top up until your contract expires with them(6 mnths). That’s to say, if you invest today, you won’t be able to top until in 6 months time when your contract expires and you decide to renew.

3. Before, you can top up any amount you wish to. But not, you can’t top up anything less then a thousand USD. i.e after your initial contract with them, if you want to top up, it must be up to one thousand USD.

4. With all this, you can see that MBA doesn’t need more money that much. They’re okay with the once they’ve got. Unlike most ponzi scheme that needs the money coming irrespective of any amount.

And lastly, you sound more like you’re secretly wishing and praying that MBA should be a ponzi scheme so that you’ll laugh and feel good about yourself, that’s a sick mentality. My only regret is that when I started MBA, I didn’t start with a considerable amount of money. I would have been far more in a better state financially than I’m now.

Well recieved. All the best.

He is indeed a rear breed. I respected him more when I saw his factory in Cameroon. He broke the age long french cement monopoly in Duoula. He built a towering factory right in front of the French cement company on the Duoula jetty.

You will have a sense of pride when you see the number of people that troupe out daily wearing their work T-Shirt saying "Dangote". Funny thing, I was there doing work for French interest.

I have no doubt he will complete the refinery and change the business like we have never seen.

Congratulations

Bros, "congratulations".

Enjoy the ride, but have this at the back of your mind that this is an investment with a level of risk. It is not a guaranteed monthly salary.

This is my free gift to all today. Two takeaways:

1) MBA forex will not crash from bad media. People just dont leave 15% interest because of "news/gist". It will only crash when MBA don't have money to pay new investors. I can't predict when this will happen, but simple math will show that 15% monthly interest means that they need grow their new customer funds by 15% monthly. There is a lot if cash in naija now coupled with the low interest rates of TB, money market. However, CoVid might make people more risk averse so new funds might dry up.

2) The only way to leave MBA forex on top is to start with top dollar and leave immediately after cashing out. But this is extremely hard to do. It takes only a strong mind.

From the small economics I did, when demand is higher than supply, price will go up.

We import almost every thing, cbn had to barn 42 item and am sure we still have over 100 more item we import, reason becos we don't have industries, why? Cost of production is high, why? The primary resource for any production (Nepa), is absent, why?, CORRUPTION0.

As long as we keep running to the west for most of our needs, the dollar will keep climbing.

U said they want to keep our currency week so they can get our resources cheap, I disagree, our most priced assert is sold at an international rate, same price with Russia, Saudi etc.

Na we hold ourselves, over the years we haven't been able to build capacity to produce anything, whether for local consumption or export, how would the naira gain.

About the bottle of water which type, cos I know in naija all bottle water is the same and na God dey save us, but in the west u could get spring water, ionized water etc....

Thanks for intelligent feedback. This is how we are meant to communicate. Thumbs up!

However, even our prized resource has a cost of production. With higher exchange rate, the dollar will be able to pay for more services. More and more producers are pushing to pay for local services in Naira. We have services such as catering, maintenance, facility supplies, etc. Even high end services such as helicopter operations and oilfield services are being paid in 60/40 split between Dollar and Naira.

Unless u r a kid, u should know when to buy dollar and when not to buy. The present rate at 450 isn't the real value to a dollar. Even judging from how we do things in Nigeria. 450 is a temporary spike, (occasioned by covid) cos the cbn could get to defend as usual, so pls wait for the inevitable pullback before u buy if u want to.

Then my dear anyone telling u its wrong or bad to hoard dollar is a novice. If I had the opportunity I will change every penny I have to dollar. Even a blind man knows...…

Look naija look America, which of these countries would u bet on?

The very TRUE value of the dollar if the cbn floats it would be around #700 to a$. Argue with the ancestors.

WRONG. I've been around the world, and I know what I can buy with 10 dollars in the US. I also know what I can buy with 7,000 naira in Lagos. Just like I know a bottle of water (value) cost at least 1Euro in France and less than 0.3Euro in naija.

Most of these things don't add up. It is actually not meant too for the average African. The average African doesnt concern himself with "the game of thrones".

These exchange rate gives the powers that be the opportunity to buy our resources cheaper. Ideally it should not affect value locally. But since the powers that be have agreed to ensure that things of value to Africans are not available locally and our leaders have accepted, we will continue to have a false understanding of exchange rate.

Think, how does exchange rate affect the price of Garri in Ijebu, the cost of portable water. The price of rice in Kebbi, etc. If we had enough refineries, the impact of exchange rate will not reach even fuel.

Ask yourself, why was the US pissed, when China by themselves devalued their currency. These same western countries are always happy when Africans devalue theirs. This is because if what you sell, cost more more than what t you buy as a country, devaluing your currency will make your citizens richer. That was why when US raised the tariffs on Chinese goods, China in return devalued their currency (this angered US), meaning China will earn more money for everything they sell internationally. This is because the value of the Yuan remained the same locally. And now, they will get more Yaun for every dollar earned.

In every country people insult the leaders when things are going badly, and things just happen to be going badly for Nigeria right now.

Buhari's case is not special stop being overly sensitive.

The insults are not intelligent bros. Some people that can't define the basic component of a neural network are saying the video is a deepfake.
