Audio guy wherever he is knows deep down in his mind that he has been found out and will be more careful with his audio ways. That one too sure grin.

Now let’s get back to the reason for the thread - Tbills wink.

And private individuals are buying foreign nationalities and using foreign healthcare services because they can afford to or want to,so why are you bothering me with all this long talks?
Abi you want buy your own foreign nationality or go foreign hospital with your money then somebody deny you?
And using that MTN and Airtel example is really off.
It's nowhere written that politicians must use local services.

All these does not justify why the president of a sovereign country should be treated for ear infection in another country bros. Or why the grandchild of the potential next president of the largest black nation on earth need soo much to be British citizen, that the pregnant mum, needed to fly to UK during the heat of the lockdown.

I don't like to argue online, as it is usually pointless. But, you are killing man...lol. I will try not to reply again on this topic, so we don't derail this nice thread.

Do what you think is best for you if you can afford it and forget about carrying the whole masses along, that's capitalism.
I cannot over explain this as I believe is very easy to understand.

Bros, a leader can't do what is best for him. He was voted/employed by the citizens. You need to understand this.

I can't do what I like in my place of work, I am paid to do and act right. Same way the leaders are paid to act SENSIBLE.

I can't be the CEO or Airtel and be wearing MTN shirt everywhere saying that i'm a capitalist. I will be fired asap!

"Capitalism is an economic system in which private individuals or businesses own capital goods. The production of goods and services is based on supply and demand in the general market—known as a market economy—rather than through central planning—known as a planned economy or command economy."

This is simple capitalism ,e get person weh dey hold you not to have your own UK passport or UK doctors?
If you can afford it ,go for it,no one is stopping you.
I see no case here.

Bros, this is not capitalism, it is what my people call "colonial mentality". The world leader in capitalism "US", their leader no dey pass DC if he wants to see a doctor.

I no understand how Buhari's visit to Oyinbo doctor be capitalism. Using your reasoning, Donald Trump whey dey use "Walter Reed hospital" for DC is a socialist?

Bros, I need to speak to you in camara. You cannot be speaking like this openly, something must be wrong.

The country has been sitting on a keg of gun powder, so this protest is long over due.

The old men governing us need to know that they are accountable. Examples of impunity are:
1) Jabi motor park leader paid hoodlums to district the protest.
2) The personal doctor/hospital of the nation's president is in the UK.
3) The national leader of the current ruling party got his son waiver to fly to UK during the lookdown to give birth in UK. Ask yourself, why is it important for these powerful people to be British citizens.

Refineries are midstream not downstream.

Wahala dey for my Naija people. I'm guessing this is a joke. If you are serious about this, read my previous comments about sticking to facts not hear say.

MIDSTREAM: The ‘midstream’ segment of the oil and natural gas industry refers to anything required to transport and store crude oil and natural gas before they are refined and processed into fuels and key elements needed to make a very long list of products we use every day. Midstream includes pipelines and all the infrastructure needed to move these resources long distances, such as pumping stations, tank trucks, rail tank cars and transcontinental tankers.

DOWNSTREAM: The final sector of the oil and natural gas industry is known as ‘downstream.’ This includes everything involved in turning crude oil and natural gas into thousands of finished products we depend on every day...

Tactical ploy! A wise person said dangote refinery would start operations by 2022. So the game plan is that all this major oil companies pull out of Nigeria. Dangote will take over grin..

Sorry I'm drunk

What has Chevron upstream business got to with Dangote's downstream business. Chevron does not operate downstream in Naija.

I will give you an advise, which I don't do often do in the faceless forum, it is voluntary so you have every right not to accept it. Always try as much as possible to stick to facts, let's your person be know for truth and nothing but the truth.

I will take #450,000 which is the present value of $1,000 and stay in Nigeria. Stop equating $1 to N1 as the currencies are not equal.

Btw, will you take $1,000 or £1,000?.

Thank you for this, I stopped arguing with the guy/lady when it looked like he was soo convinced USD1,000 should be equal to NGN1,000 for Nigeria to make sense.

I'm a resident of one of the so-called first world countries, though I live and work in Naija now. So I know naija is cheaper by far and Naira can do more in naija than USD in US or EUR in France.

To these people, once it is not priced like the US, it is fake and of low quality. During Covid-19, they were queuing and fighting over quality tissue paper while we were freely buying low quality available tissue paper. cool

My brother "the thing tire me". This is neocolonialism at its peak. See the brother/sister that made a comment earlier that Nestle pure life from NYC/Paris is better than that from Agbara in Ogun State. This nah bottled water ooo.

They are different. I once imported nestle milo from USA, Mehn, come see how creamy it is. Huge difference!
Same thing with coke and Pepsi.

So I want you to import that same nestle pure life from USA and buy one from Nigeria market. Then open and compare both before you come here to argue blindly.

You can buy full cream peak milk Nigeria and full cream peak milk Holland. Produced by same company but very different in quality. One is produced in Nigeria, the other is imported. If I finish one tin of the Nigerian made one at a go, I always purge helplessly but the Holland own doesn't purge me, infact, I feel so I alive when I finish one tin of it at a go.

Bros Nestle Pure Life nah water ooooo. Do you mean that the water from New York taste better. I'm not understanding you, or do you mean the one from Paris that cost 1Euro (500 Naira using the co-called exchange rate) taste better than the same Pure life bottle that cost max 100 Naira in Lagos.

Even Nestle will be shocked.

$1,000 will get you more than enough groceries for 2 weeks in the US and can comfortably feed you for 3 months in Nigeria, but #1,000 can barely give you a good pot of soup in Nigeria and maybe a bottle of coke and burger in US.

That write up is just some dumb analysis by an wannabe.

This your analysis does not add up. What is exchange rate, what is value.

The fact remains Nigeria is cheap and Naira can get you more things in Nigeria than USD can get you in the US. This is comparing apples for apple.

Value is the key bro. Also, the only country I've been to that is cheaper than Nigeria is Ivory Coast. And I've been around, trust me.

Did the writer check the quality of those commodities he's comparing?

Bros what do you mean quality. How much is Nestle pure life in Lagos and how much is it in New York or Paris. This is manufactured by same Nestle.

Nigeria is really cheap, and the exchange rate story "no balance". The west sees what we are enjoying here.

Go to Ghana and ask them how much is that same bottle of water or fuel. All more expensive than naija.
