FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST PERSONS IN FCT, PLEASE REPORT TO NAPTIP WHAT DOES THE VAPP ENTAIL? 1.0 The Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015 was signed into law on 23rd May, 2015. 1.1 NAPTIP was mandated to administer the provisions of the Act, by virtue of Section 44 of the Act. The main thrust of the law is to eliminate violence in private and public life, prohibit all forms of violence against persons to provide maximum protection and effective remedies for victims and punishment of offenders and for other related matters. NAPTIP being the body charged with the responsibility of administering the Act shall collaborate with relevant stakeholders and faith based organisations. Jurisdiction – Only the High Court of the FCT, Abuja has the sole jurisdiction to hear and grant any application brought under the Act by virtue of Section 27 of the Act. Rights of victims or violence are safeguarded under Section 38 of the Act in addition to the rights guaranteed under Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution as amended. These rights include the right to receive necessary materials, comprehensive medical, psychological, social and legal assistance through governmental Agencies or non-governmental agencies providing such assistance Section 47 of the Act clearly stipulates that the Act applies only in the FCT. Section 45 of the Act makes consequential amendments to the Criminal Code, Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code to the effect that any provision of the Act shall supersede any other provision on similar offences in the Criminal Code, Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code. The Investigation Department, the Legal & Prosecution Department, the Counselling & Rehabilitation Department and the Public Enlightenment Departments are pivotal to the implementation of the Act. They are the first personnel of the Agency that come in contact with the victim’s whenever a case of violence is reported or transferred to the Agency. ii. The Department also ensures that the victims are well catered for in the Agency’s Shelter from where they are counselled periodically and or empowered with vocational skills which enables them to be re-integrated into the society as functional members. iii. And what made u think he was without a job before he got married. The number of KIDS on this nairaland these days are becoming unbearable. @op, was in you same predicament before I got a job where I am working now. First of all, you must quit this beggarly attitude because you are bigger than the situation and you wont succumb to it. You will set a time line of 30 days to get a job and you will wake up every morning and (since its obvious you have internet), you will submit as many CV as you can online before you eat breakfast. After eating breakfast, you will match towards any recruiting agency dressed properly to find out if they have any Job. do not register with those that ask for money and keep looking out for vacancy as you ask friends and families. keep this routine everyday and with prayer your job will come. Remember you cant turn any vehicle until the car is in motion, same principles apply to you, you cant be directed towards a job until you are actively looking for one. so keep moving till you get one. Avoid quarrels with your wife at this period due to frustration, be happy and make sure that you are actively looking for the job either online or strategic movement. Remember you are not a beggar, and nobody should give you a job by feeling sorry for you. you go and get the job. wittyt98: |

His Nigerian side is reflected on his Twitter bio and he also about getting his Nigerian passport in 2015.The NBA star was born on December 6, 1994, in Athens, Greece to Nigerian parents, Charles and Veronica Adetokunbo. He was born three years after his parents moved to the European country. His name was originally Adetokunbo, but it became Antetokounmpo after a misspelling in his Greek passport. At the bolded....Nigerians always know how to take advantage of the situation, no need for long story....simply adopt the name even though u dont know the meaning ![]() |
Love the way their names were mysteriously left out but we know where they are from already ![]() |
First of all, open your mouth like the image and examine the tonsil. Inflamed one means its carrying germs and food particles which can stink and cant be cured with just brushing, no matter how long. You have to remove the tonsils or you dislodge the food particles and keep gaggling with warm water and salt solution. But if they are not swollen, then get two brushes, one very hard one for your tongue only and another for brushing your teeth. get an acidic based mouthwash as well and brush immediately after eating i.e thrice a day, so prepare for toothpaste not lasting longer
