The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has said he will drop his fight with President Bola Tinubu after the Supreme Court rules on his appeal against the judgement of the tribunal.



Atiku, who finished behind Tinubu in the election, had challenged the victory of the President in court.


However, the former vice-president lost as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal struck out his petition.


Despite the tribunal’s ruling, Atiku continued his case at a United States court, which eventually ordered the release of official documents Atiku is seeking to include in his appeal at the Supreme Court.

He had argued that there were discrepancies in the Chicago State University (CSU) certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC which should have rendered him ineligible to contest the election.


Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, Atiku said: “I have already filed my appeal against him at the Supreme Court.


“It is only when the court rules that he is right that I will drop this fight; in other words, I will drop this fight when the court rules because there is no court higher than the Supreme Court.”



When asked if he was under pressure from Tinubu to drop the case, Atiku claimed that after the election, he learnt that some governors were sent by Tinubu to reach out to him. Edo celebrities reports,

Yesternight, I was with the youngest Politicians in Abuja at a low-key meeting/get-together at one of our friends house at Apo Legislative Quarters. With the way PDP's Kwankwasho, Peter Obi and Atiku couldn't unite to nominate one of them to confront APC Tinubu but unwittingly splitted PDP Votes into 3, only a self-deceitful Soul would still be wasting time arguing that APC Tinubu did not Win. Tinubu Won the Presidential Election square and fair against all Odds, and every sensible human being on Earth knows this.

Secondly, we all agreed that it is complete myopic waste of precious time to be trying to Unseat someone that has spent over 30 Years in not just wishfully preparing to become President like those that are fighting him. He has been busy turning Boys to Men, and raising loyal Men to become National, African and Global Leaders. Also, the fact that this same unprecedented African Mastermind Politician is the only one in the long History of Nigeria to have ensured removal of Presidents like Abacha and Jonathan, and Installion of Buhari even after Buhari told him that he is sure that he would never win because he had already lost all hopes of ever becoming President, Tinubu assured him that he would bankroll him and do everything to ensure he became President and it happened. It's famely said in Africa that Kingmakers always find it impossible to become King, but Tinubu has again shattered this erroneous misconception by Winning to become President against all Odds. Now, sensible People are asking "Someone that these his antagonists couldn't stop from Climbing the Thorne and being firmly Planted as President, how so shallow-minded are they to now be thinking they would be able to remove him?!"

The 3rd revelation that I didn't know at all before yesternight was what my friends made me understand, that the the diametrically completely unnecessary Attacks that fellow Southerner Peter Obi has endlessly enviously launched out against Tinubu (and later encouraged Atiku to do same) has immensely Prevented the President in focusing on his Goal of tuning Nigeria to an Industrialized and Prosperous Nation. No other President has been so much enviously disturbed with very much unnecessarily dragging and counter-productive litigations that every right-thinking persons knows would amount to absolutely Nothing!


Most pathetic and saddening is the fact that Obedients are self-destructively boasting that they also know that their effort on the CSU Certificate Saga is not likely to remove the President but the thought that at least they are making Tinubu suffer mental-trauma is giving them cloud 9 Orgasm daily. I wonder the kind of incurablly Envious heart that just derives so much Pleasure in knowing that even though they can Not pull you down, but making you to become unable to Focus on fully Achieving your desired Goal and Greatness gives them boundless Joy. Unlike all the Past Nigerian Presidentals, it should be noted that Tinubu was already a Multi-Billionaire in Dollars before becoming President. So, the Greatest Achievement he desires is for his Name to be Printed in Gold as the President that brought Nigeria out of Poverty into becoming a truly Wealthy Nation and internationally Respected Giant of Africa.

And non of us is superhuman, so the wicked endless Campaign of Calumny that was supposed to have long ended after Tinubu became President would affect the mental Prowess of even the Strongest Humanbeing on Earth. Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communications to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has described President Bola Tinubu’s plan to hand out N8,000 to 12 million households for six months as a brazen attempt to divert public funds.

Shaibu, in a statement on Thursday, noted that Tinubu’s plan to spend $800m on palliatives under an opaque arrangement was reminiscent of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s conditional cash transfer and COVID-19 intervention initiative which saw politicians keeping food items and provisions in their homes while the poor went hungry.

He said Buhari’s interventionist programmes only ended up making Nigerians poorer as shown in reports released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Atiku’s aide stated, “After announcing the removal of petrol subsidy without proper planning, Tinubu has asked for the approval of $800m loan which he claims will be disbursed to 12 million households for six months at N8,000 for each household per month. This is a continuation of the scam of the All Progressives Congress.

“According to statistics, a Nigerian household as at 2019 counted on an average of 5.06 members. So, with Tinubu’s uninspiring plan, each individual in a household will get N1,600 per month or N53 per day. What should they do with it? Use the money to buy sachet (pure) water or a cup of boiled groundnut on a daily basis? And this is the man they claim transformed the economy of Lagos State? This must be a joke or a more sinister attempt to divert public funds.”

Shaibu argued that Tinubu lacked a clear economic policy apart from taxing Nigerians, adding that the former Lagos governor has been exposed as an economic illiterate.

“Tinubu boasted that he would ‘develop Nigeria’s economy’ like that of Lagos but this was all a scam. Statistics show that over 70% of Lagos revenue comes from income tax paid by private companies which had been in Lagos for decades due to its status as Nigeria’s former capital.

“His only plan is to tax Nigerians to death as he did in Lagos and that is why the people of Lagos rejected him in the last election. Tinubu promised to turn Nigeria’s economy into a $1 trillion economy but it is all a scam and can never be achieved with his brand of “agberonomics,” Atiku’s aide said.

Shaibu said Tinubu ought to have focused on putting money into the agricultural sector and subsidising production and working at attaining energy security that is the backbone of spurring desired economic growth from SMEs if he was really serious about reviving the economy.

He added, “Agriculture makes up about 30% of Nigeria’s GDP. He should have invested funds in the production aspect of agriculture and other issues affecting crop yields. The rural areas which are mostly agrarian are in the throes of insecurity. On Tinubu’s watch, over 200 people have so far been killed. However, he seems clueless on how to tackle this menace.

“The so-called palliatives that Tinubu seeks to share to the poor are just another avenue to divert public funds. For years, the Nigerian government has rejected calls to publish the list of the beneficiaries of the so-called palliatives but this has never been done because it is all a scam.

“Tinubu should stop trying to deceive Nigerians who are still suffering from the effect of his lackluster economic policies.”

Continuing, he noted that “There are also concerns that this plan is a reinvention of old tricks through which the APC uses public funds as subterfuge for vote buying.

“Let no one make any mistakes about it, the planned palliative is Trader Moni 2.0. The scheme is nothing but a means to use public funds to prosecute political campaigns and objectives. It is even more telling that the current imposter government is contemplating the initiative when there is high expectation that the presidential election tribunal is set to give judgement in the controversial election that brought Tinubu into government.

“The APC is a political party that has lost favour with a vast majority of Nigeria, and it is no coincidence that since 2019 when the party invented the charade of Trader Moni, it also incontrovertibly introduced the menace of vote buying into Nigeria’s body politic.

“A special investigation into the Trader Moni initiative by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari revealed that more than N20bn was wasted on corruption, kickbacks, fraud and partisanship,” Shaibu added.
