AMINDA:Do you know you're very easy to work out? Even before anyone reads your contribution on a thread they know what you will say and who you will attempt to attack/blame and/or automatically exonerate of wrongdoing. Your whole essence boils down to the saying "an enemy of my enemy is my friend". That concept typifies your character online and I am sure offline too. Essentially making you a person of questionable judgement and principles. Your contribution here revolves around blind defence of characters, no matter how dangerous and evil, you perceive as enemies of PBAT and "Yoruba Presidency". Malami, Atiku, Tambuwal, Bala Mohammed, El Rufai hegemonists and supremacist Arewa groups etc, etc. Really sad. Not a good look bro because it makes you appear highly aberrant. PS, I,ve just done an OBJ on you since you love quoting OBJ's observation of the character of others in his book. |
adekolaelect:I just don't understand them. Their messiah-worship of Obi knows no bound and this is why they rush here comparing an ordinary citizen to 'o din din' NSA of Nigeria 'loun loun'. Kilode? One has to wonder the spell Obi has them under to prompt this kind of display on a public forum the world is reading and judging Nigeria and Nigerians on. |
Elusive001:Please where is the sense in comparison OP is making? You people put your own under harsh spotlight scrutiny myopically only to then begin complaining of "hatred for Igboman" when people discuss what you started in ways you do not like. Abeg who, in a foolish and messiah-worshipping manner, compared Obi, an ordinary citizen, to our NSA here? A Yoruba man? |
Kylekent59:Just to worship Obi you lot keep rushing to create thread that makes no logical sense and are only attention-seeking. Was Obi the National security advisor of Nigeria when he was recorded? If we all agree the answer is no then Obi, as a private citizen, should have reported the matter to the police for investigation if dem born am well. Yet we saw him giving "go and verify" excuses and never actually admitting, till today, it was him talking. Hope you now understand how silly it is to create a thread suggesting justice is "one-sided" because your Messiah obi did not get a government investigation into his tapped phonecall when Obi himself, the so-called victim, did not even seek a police investigation into the matter? Protocol demands, for the sake of national security, an investigation is carried out over the alleged tapping of our NSA's line because he is the custodian of very confidential security information of Nigeria that criminal elements must not gain access to. Obi is not our NSA. He is an ordinary Nigerian with no public office currently so you people should learn to chill with the nauseating messiah worship of this unremarkable person. |
Fujiyama:It's okay if you don't understanding. Perhaps your closed mind won't allow you see the obvious. |
Khallicopyro:Allegations of the serially dishonest and discredited SaharaReporters is now gospel truth to be believed without query? https://www.thecable.ng/lagos-defends-minibus-ban-on-lekki-epe-corridor-after-drivers-protest/ Lagos defends minibus ban on Lekki-Epe corridor after drivers’ protest |
Below is an expansive take on events that reveals some factual truth SaharaReporters left out to go with a more salacious and deliberately incendiary reportage framing issues to appear as if the transport workers are fighting 'tyranny' of Tinubu and his son. We claim to want better but now throw our brains in the bin to be siding with agents of regression because of hatred of certain people and entities. https://www.thecable.ng/lagos-defends-minibus-ban-on-lekki-epe-corridor-after-drivers-protest/ Lagos defends minibus ban on Lekki-Epe corridor after drivers’ protest |
Elzazzi:Many of those buses are worthless bro. Fact. I live in Lekki and go past Ajah few times a week because of ongoing projects we have in an axis after Abraham Adesanya. I see those Korope buses with my own eyes. Secondly, I don't think they would have told everyone to abandon all the old buses. This is sensationalist and partisan reportage to include even the statement of "allegedly linked to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu" seems obviously included to make Nigerians lose sight of what is important so they focus alone on insulting the Tinubu family. If the Lagos Government want buses standardized for aesthetic appeal and mechanical safety, then that is their right to implement as the sole authority responsible for the public transport sector of Lagos and as obtains globally. Even an ultimatum for owners of old and unfit buses to swap them with new and acceptable one would not be illegal if Lagos wants it that way. The reason most of these guys will resist this is because the status quo is good for them and their vehicle-Owner bosses even as such will forever be inimical to Lagos developing an efficient, safe, modern and comfortable transport system. More information is needed before anyone starts taking sides let alone begin insulting others, like Tinubu and his son, who likely have nothing to do with this development. On the face of it, anyone who truly loves Lagos will accept newer, mechanically safer and well-maintenwd Korope buses is a welcomed development. |
blackgold2018:You don't get the point and are being sentimental like the rest. There will be a time, as obtains in most modern cities of the world, Government will decide to put her foot down to insist on issues like harmonised and standardized buses to use for public transport instead of continuing with random and cartel-like ownership of transport options. It is the right of Lagos to do this at anytime and nothing to do with "let it not be a burden to them" matter. Lagos transport sector is poor, badly in need of greater modernisation and organisation. This leaves it far below what is available in some African Cities talk less of Cities in the Western world like London, Tokyo, New York etc . Meaning the effort of Lagos to modernise and improve her transport sector must be constant. Such should not be subject to self-serving blackmail of a few that is against the interest of the greater good. You have a high number of mechanically unfit death trap buses plying Lagos roads in the name of "public Transport" and you think Lagos should not have the power of intervening to define the sector once the money she needs to implement changes is available? This is why Nigeria is a nation very unique globally in the way she and her people are set up to be the biggest enemies of their own progress. |
pharmagba:Don't mind him. They are all just being automatically bigoted and their response shows this. Look at this excerpt from the article : Commercial drivers operating small buses popularly known as "korope" on Wednesday staged a protest along the Ajiwe axis en route to Victoria Garden City (VGC), Ajah, Lagos State, following allegations that they were being forced to abandon their existing vehicles and purchase newly acquired buses allegedly linked to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.Let's look at the big picture like educated men. Everyone knows 99% of Korope buses in Lagos are horrid. Dirty, doors hanging off or no door even, mechanically unsafe, downright horrid and unbefitting of a modern megacity. In fact many making sanctimonious noise now, like the poster you replied, would likely have used Korope buses to mock Lagos as "trashy Mega slum" in the past. Effort is now underway to change this situation as Lagos has full right to pursue with new buses and modern buses, perhaps with Cowry card acceptance facility, transport workers can buy on lease plan. Is that not the norm in all progressive cities of Africa , in North and Southern Africa, already have talk less of the West? What sane and progressive person opposes such an idea to be siding with all these touts operating Korope buses who never wishes the sector be improved and modernised merely because present operation suits the way them and their overlords make money? The mention of Seyi Tinubu is enough to make any rational and progressive person lose site of the main picture to be supporting regression? Next minutes these same hypocrites will be indicting Lagos of being disorganised, dirty, unliveable etc, etc and lauding Kigali, Accra, Nairobi, Cape Town, Marrakesh, Tripoli etal yet they are rejecting what are obvious solutions to those complaints they make. |
I don't understand how some Nigerians think. If these guys are been asked to swap their death trap vehicle, when around 90% will be condemned in sane nations let alone used for public transport, then why are Nigerian passengers complaining? After all, majority of Lagos passengers consider many 'Korope' buses unsafe, dirty and, above all, lawlessly disorganised and unruly. Passengers themselves have demanded reforms like this to have clean and mechanically safe vehicles to travel in instead of the eyesore and death traps many Korope's are. Why would anyone sane then have an issue with reforming this deplorable state of affairs in the sector if such brings improvements? Are some arguing korope drivers are right rejecting newer vehicles, modernisation and efficiency as Cities of Africa have long adopted? Or is it the name of Seun Tinubu, mischievously mentioned by SaharaReporters, that has made many lose their mind and objectivity? Worrying where Nigeria is going whereby many now automatically , and without thinking, opposes developments that are good for them, other Nigerians and society at large because such developments are affiliated with those they hate. |
MondayD7:Brave and truthful? I only see a lawless character with no respect for the rule of law and the sentencing of a competent Court of law that conclusively proved Kanu guilty of terrorism. The demand of this so called monarch is disgraceful and shameful. |
ThiefnubuBandit:So you speak for every adult in Edo State? Why would they all think or be like you exactly when many are normal and decent people who will appreciate and back good work of Government even if said Government is one they did not support initially? Abeg speak for yourself. Not all others are damaged beyond redemption, because of hatred for others, as it appears you may be. |
ThiefnubuBandit:Any comment, good or bad, on the the main topic concerning rehabilitation of Ekpoma road? @Topic. This is what Governance is about. I e delivering permanent and proper solution to serious challenges Nigerians face. As a political leader, it is impossible to please everyone in Nigeria but solving problems that impedes the socio-economic growth and development of Nigeria/Nigerians should be the focus of all transformational leaders. |
Kalashnikov49:Answer is No. It's not difficult to understand why Kanu was able to brainwash so many Igbo youths to become hardened, brutal and callous killers. He merely needed to take advantage of their ignorance, illiteracy and disinterest in independently establishing the facts for themselves. You for example, keep ignorantly challenging others with the above believing no Nairaland can even be interested enough to fact check your lie let alone disgrace you by debunking it. Despite you noise and repeated allegation Igboho was charged with treason, same as Kanu, below is the fact of the matter. Your chest-beating insistence Igboho faced same charge as Kanu is another vivid testimony for why you lot fail at so many face-off you engage in with others. This is how, till today, you keep peddling the garbage, because Kanu and Epka told you so, that "secession is the right of Igbos" whereas it is not and is in fact banned by our constitution as an act of treason. An entire ethnic group of many millions went to war ignorantly. Abeg who does that?

Odin13:Have you prostrated for all your "Arewa excellencies" and "lords" today? Probably sha. Otherwise you would not be free to be posting here unless you are done with you daily duty of worshipping your masters. lol |
SisterAnn:Lol. Same way village people in Nigeria flock to the City to upgrade, educate, enlighten and better themselves is how you Oga , the "Village boy" Obi, needs to go and do apprenticeships under "City Boy" PBAT for at least a decade before he can be fit to be a local government chairman in Lagos. You lot, and the dullards who creates mottos and buzz words for you, goofed with this "Village Boy" tag. Village in Nigeria ke? Why don't you lot leave Lagos, Abuja, PH etal and move to your respective Villages to stay there permanently. I want to check something real quick. Nonsense. |
helinues:Absolutely. They cannot give what they do not have. As you concluded, a dull and intellectually-challenged leader will attract similar as followers. Whereas the most intelligent and sophisticated leaders naturally have the most intelligent and sophisticated in society behind them. Basic commonsense. Look at how virtually all business, technocratic, academic, political and opinion leaders, plus even global Economist organisations/leaders, are behind PBAT with virtually non behind empty barrel Obi? In fact, did this ridiculously dull and retrogressive Village Boy garbage (the name sounds distasteful lol) not come about because so many Igbo business and entrepreneurial leaders, including those behind Obi in 2023, are aligning behind PBAT today after they have seen him in action to know he is best for the socioeconomic growth and development of Nigeria? What they do not wish to acknowledge about PBAT, the most successful, smartest and most objective ones amongst them will run in their faces. |
helinues:Lol. When Oga does not know difference between Snake venom and anti-venom, what show of intellectual prowess or innovative/imaginative thinking are you expecting from his followers? They dullardly rushed to adopt Village boy, which is of course the opposite of City boy, and are now trying to spin it in a positive manner when they realise their folly . Whereas the damage has been done because, factually in the Nigerian context, Village depicts backwardness undoubtedly. Whereas the Cities have development, innovation and aspirational living. Awon olodo. |
MaziObinnaokija:Very scary guy. If he did not have the brains to be a technocrat and then public administrator, I really wonder what El Rufai would be today. Virtually every situation he'll threathen death and mayhem.
|
Jakpon:Well-said. El Rufai and extremism are twins. |
Toolegit123:Is it that some of you hate reading or you can't? Which one is it because the article makes it crystal clear Ribadu has replied through his office. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is playing games and, in his typical fashion, also playing to the gallery. He knew there was no government procurement or importation of Thallium sulphate into Nigeria from Poland through the office of the National Security Adviser. El-Rufai certainly got a reply to his letter from the NSA's office, and he should be honourable enough to release it just as he mischievously released his own letter. |
SisterAnn:I don't know what you're talking about. 😎 |
bizzibodi:He is not above the law. That does not mean he must dignifies every unproven allegation with a response. Think again and Imagine what you suggesting bro. This isn't Rocket Science. |
BATified2023:They all worship and are led by a dullard so what do you expect? |
bizzibodi:Look Sir, Ribadu owes you nothing. How can you expect him to join issues over an allegation made against him by a member of the public which is what El Rufai is. Where does it end if Ribadu start responding to every unsubstantiated allegation made against him? |
H fuckingAyaya:She said this in 2026 and months after our nation had a formal Nigeria -USA partnership work committee in place to tackle terrorism in Nigeria. She is therefore saying she welcomes approved bombing of the North. Many will concur with her. Very different to Obi endorsing bombing of Nigeria when Trump initially made it a threat he would carry out against Nigeria without our approval. Get your facts right please. |
