Festus Keyamo is a Nigerian Lawyer,a Senior Advocate Of Nigeria , social crusader, critic, columnist and human rights activist. Not anymore since he became Buhari's attack dog. And he does that job free of charge because of "Belief and Trust" in Buhari. Oga Fes, no be so? |
LaudableXX:How old are you? So your parents didn't tell you that even with the annulment pronoucement, Prof Nwosu continued to announce the results only to be arrested by the regime, rough handled, slapped and even tortured for disobedience. Much later, he published/launched a book where he actually confirmed Abiola as the winner of that election. So get your facts right before ranting. Between Nwosu and your Jega who do you think supervised over a rigged election? Answer me before Amadioha will ......... |
"The tension is artificial, it is not real. There is nothing going on in real sense that suggests that there is anything like ethnic cleansing or religious war in Nigeria". “I will also urge the US legislature and all stakeholders who are interested in Nigeria to come and speak to the ordinary people in Nigeria and they would get a different picture.”Oga Keyamo, ARE YOU SURE? Because you were made the Campaign Spokesperson you now know more than an army General about security issues. You think America, as well, doesn't know? Anyway you have to earn your dollars. No be so? |
Alariiwo:Yes. You are. Otherwise why did you participate against them during the civil war and masterminded the starving of non combatant innocent Biafran children and women? Tell me another story jo. Nonsense. |
Without any prejudice,I make my submission: 1. Abiola was never declared a president elect not to talk of being ever sworn in as one. 2. He committed treason and for that Abacha had to put him in prison where, unfortunately, he died. How then could the same government now confer an award meant for presidents on such a person- posthumously for that matter? 3. A learned former CJN has pointed out the illegality of such action but it seems to be falling on deaf ears. And some people are even rejoicing! In which other countries in this world will such a thing happen? There are so many other ways to honor this man if the president thinks it's expedient. I weep for my beloved country. |
TheAngry1:Go and tell this to Buhari so that he should stop telling lies. He should have said "War is war and we did what we had to do" instead of trying to rewrite history. Nonsense . |
Don't worry when campaign starts you will know . |
And the S/W Yorubas can celebrate June 12 without hindrance but with support from their leaders. Suppose coincidentally a shop owner falls sick and therefore can't open his/her shop. What happens? Governor, you missed this one. |
Only by rigging will this"Presidency" win the 2019 presidential election. You can tell a blind person that there is oil or no oil in the food but as for whether there is salt in it, no way. Propaganda and deceit reach a point where a 'blind' person begins to notice. This government is worse than the previous one by all indices. |
I use to have respect for this guy. Not anymore and I don't know who missed it - him or me . |
So this is what Strategic Communications DG is all about. Oya earn your pay Mr SAN. Nonsense. |
This is Osinbajo the politician speaking. Surely the professor and the pastor in him know better. |
Mogidi:Permission and support. |
I was sceptical about believing the story but now that that is denied, I believe it is authentic. Of cource you don't expect the man to use his real name. Do you, Oga? The email makes more sense to me than the reasons given by Mr Lie - sorry Lai Mohammed. Nobody wants to unseat anybody. Nigeria needs more than a Buhari now if we really need to develop. Fighting corruption and insurgency is good but there is more to development than these. |
Three months after? Condolences indeed. Popularity test in progress. Let's see whether people will also climb billboards and trees to welcome and cheer him. |
But why deny that he was flown abroad for further treatment when the news leaked. Or wasn't it?. Not that it matters to or concerns me but ........SMH. |

He said the Presidency was still wondering the criteria or facts used by the anti-corruption watchdog to arrive at its very "misleading and unfair conclusions" in its assessment of the federal government's efforts in this anti-corruption crusade.. It is the same criteria that was used to place some countries in the first, second, third positions and so on. Okay? As if you don't know. |
Ohhh! I am liking this. FIRST PRACTICAL STEP TOWARDS RESTRUCTURING. Oya every ethnic nationality over to you. |
So who impersonated you,Sir? I read that statement and it couldn't have come from an imposter. The language was presidential. Okay, it's me that issued that well articulated advice on the state of the Nation. So what? Is it not the simple observable truth? |
Kanu's passports were seized so he couldn't have traveled out of the country. So the Security agencies should ferret him out if they really want him to appear in court. America did same to Osama Bin Laden. The Army chased a truck loaded with arms into his compound and he has been missing since that moment . Is this to prove that Kanu leads an "Armed Terrorist Group "? You then went ahead and took him out of the equation by whatever means. And the judge now wants the sureties to produce his ghost. "The law is really an ass" as they say . |
“Nigerians will not reject President Buhari in 2019 because former President Obasanjo said so but because President Buhari may have wittingly or unwittingly rejected Nigerians. He alone by now should know his status with Nigerians. A word is enough for the wise.”Oga Sagay, hear your colleague talking maturely. It's people like you that benefit from the status quo that will always defend your boss - emotionally. As a SAN, why not challenge OBJ with superior arguments on the issues he raised - one by one. Can you fault any of them? |
Sister, go and be seen no more. As for all ye little children mocking her, I leave you to your consciences. This beautiful woman will eventually marry and have children. No doubt about that. Get up and go on with your life. |
BlessMySoul:Don't mind them. Why didn't they allow UNILAG to be changed to MAULAG ( Moshood Abiola University, Lagos)? |
ivandragon:The senator that talked about using air freshener and insecticide in his fight against corruption was absolutely right. |
Sir, nothing is impossible since it was possible to restructure the country from 4 regions to 12 (by you, Sir) , then to 19, and so on to the present 36 states. What is sacrosanct about the present structure? Since the Army is supposed to have left the scene ( or haven't you? ), let's go back to the system we were operating before you people's intervention. The present six geopolitical zones is a good starting point. After all, if the Aburi Accord was implemented, we won't be talking about restructuring by now. Weren't the 500 ethnic nationalities comfortable under the regions. Actually the creation of states by the Military regimes has motives far far away from pacifying the minorities. So please don't play the minorities card here. |
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think that you are a fool than open it and talk trash thereby removing all reasonable doubts. - Anonymous. |
Ladies and gentlemen, let us look at it this way : Somebody was granted bail (of course under someone as surety). The accused disobeyed the bail conditions. What was the logical and reasonably legal thing for the prosecution to do? APPLY FOR THE WITHDRAWAL OF THE BAIL AND REARREST HIM. This was already in progress before the python, who couldn't wait for the court to decide, swallowed the accused. Or could it be that the court had already decided and then sent the military to arrest/deal with him? This seems most likely since even the army is not above the law. They acted as directed. It is absurd that in all these happenings, the army just paid Kanu a courtesy visit on the day he was declared missing and they never saw him? Or they saw him, shook hands and left? Anybody asking the sureties to produce Kanu is like giving a child a load of salt and mischievously causing rain to beat him /her. The government knows Kanu's whereabouts. I rest my case. |
Any history of Nigeria will be incomplete/false if fails to discuss the "Aburi Accord " and why/how its non implementation led to the creation of Biafra and consequently the Biafra /Nigeria war. Abi na lie? Remember the slogan "ON ABURI WE STAND"? |
During the Biafra Nigeria war, Biafrans really bore arms, put up a fight and gave Nigeria a run for their money. Many people died on both sides. But I never heard Gowon or anybody refer to them as terrorists. They were simply called "Rebels" while the Biafrans were calling the invaders "Vandals". Terrorism is more serious than rebelion. Buhari should have borrowed a leaf from Gowon and revisit the famous Aburi Accord. Luckily, the people who own the English language (EU) know the difference and have refused the categorization and proscription. |
The reason for my preamble must be obvious to you all. I was seriously angry after seeing a video purportedly showing how our soldiers were brutalising fellow Nigerians and subjecting them to the worst indignities known to mankind. I’ve been praying that the videos were shot in outer space and not anywhere near Nigeria. But if what I saw very vividly actually took place on our planet and in this our dear beloved nation, then we’ve truly missed the road. I did not see any sign of weapons with these hapless victims of oppression and repression. At the very worst, even if as the military authorities claimed, that the soldiers were pelted with pebbles and stones, the treatment meted out to the personalities in the video is undeserved by any human being. How was the response from the military commensurate to that of the supposed hoodlums? Was it not an act of provocation in itself for soldiers to be engaging in drills in an area already soaked with tension?Anyone who opposes this master piece is either biased or does not understand English. If it tastes bitter to others , it's because it is the truth . |
And Humphrey Nwosu the former INEC Chairman who refused to announce the winner, should also be excluded. Kingibe betrayed Abiola even though he was Abiola's running mate and went on to serve in Abacha's govt. As for Nwosu, the less said about him, the better. He lacked the balls and forthrightness of Attahiru Jega, and rubbished the whole 1993 election result.
