If you think Elon owns Twitter or any of his other shaft enterprises then I have a bridge in Ojuelegba to sell to you.

This is a WEF neo liberal policy to force everyone to get their digital passport starting with your online activity.

It's a CCP styled Social credit system designed for online surveillance

You need a job you can earn like 15,000 Naira per month and save up for a year. You'll have like 180,000 Naira, then you can fund your studies

Talk to your parents to take up loans on your behalf.
Family › Re: My Family Seems To Want To Control My Life by Wodu89: 1:54pm On Aug 16, 2023
DestinedForGrea:
Hello everyone.

Please I need an urgent advice from the mature minds here. I'm about to take a decision that has the potential to change the course of my life.

A quick background:
I come from a family consisting of five "children", of which I'm the fourth. Right from the days of my childhood, my parents and older siblings have had a firm control over me. They often dictated the friends I'd keep, placed I'd go to, where I should be, and almost how I should behave.

I was mostly indoors because they didn't want me playing around. That had an impact on my personality, because I couldn't master the ability to make friends, express myself confidently, and get involved in social activities that my peers relished.

Fastforward to this point:

I'm in my late 20s, a graduate and an NYSC cert holder, and although the level of control has been minimized, I still experience a bit of it. I don't have a place of my own for now, so I stay in the family house, but my older ones are independent in that aspect though they don't stay far from the family house.

I have a job too, but the salary is not even enough to take care of myself and support the home for a week.

Now here's the issue, I got a job offer from someone I served with during my NYSC, in a state about 8 hours from my current state of residence. It's the same job with the one I'm on right now (a teaching job) but with a slightly better payment return.

The person has a good relationship with the principal of the school, so according to him, the job is secure. I had to accept it because I'm tired of my current situation, and I'm tired of the life I'm living here -- my social life is next to zero, I don't have friends close by, I'm not socially active, and I need to explore. With my little savings, I plan to get an apartment as cheap as possible when I get there.

The problem is everyone is kicking against , because they're concerned about my safety, how I'm going to cope alone in this harsh economy. They've told me that if I decide to leave against their wish, that I'll be on my own and won't get their hands involved if anything goes wrong.

At the moment, I'm thinking of standing my ground and sticking to my decision, because I'm depressed from being in this environment, but I'm a bit afraid of my family cutting ties with me.

Please any advice? I really need some right now.

Thanks!
Leave. But maintain relations with your family in a healthy manner !

I usually wake feeling wave of apprehension and a fear.
The worry is just too much especially when you have a baby to feed. That one doesn't send.

That's dying. Resigning to hopelessness. Why don't you go and learn driving and hit the car park, there are park managers that will help you with Korope or tricycle and you'll earn daily income

The one above me what are you preaching?
There this general problem with womean' i don't know whether i will call it low IQ, love, simping or they are afraid they will not marry again.
Many women always see this signs in the beginning of their marriage but they act dumb and i don't know whether they think he will change or whatever.
Reasons i don't take women serious by their statement' even the one forming holy or hard to get in nairaland. Because majority of women get sense on nairaland but not in reality.
The worst of it is this enduring women will never meet the right person' it is always those senseless women that always meet the right man and will just frustrate his life.
I love ur sister' even though the man is acting irresponsible for now and it seems your sister understand him that is why she is still with him.
Nobody can predict life, and for u to convince ur sister to leave him will not be that easy, just give them time and try to convince the both of them especially the man..''
And you attacked me after saying all this nonsense. How does these edify ?

Lower your expectations

Don't try to run his life

Only offer little help and from a distance less when things go sideways you bear the burden of the blame

Speak productive and profitable tips you get from time to time with your sister. I.e food sharing. Contribution and associations etc.

Introduce your sister and him to a teachable minister he can listen to and belong to that will improve his life and outlook. All true life developments.begins with the right exposure. If you want to help the bottom of them, connect them to a teaching ministry where they can both be exposed to the Light of the gospel in a way that will change their lives impeccably. From your description, they have a disorganized life and when people have disorganized lives, they need to submit under the authority of a gospel of a minister so the Lord will sharpen and shapen their lives and destiny thru the revelation they receive from the ministry. Connect them to Jesus and let God handle the wheel.

Nice2023:
I have written about this behavior here on two occasions and I am not in any way surprised at the menace currently being practised by these lazy men.

There is always a way to live in this country, during ur 20's,work like ur life depends on it. Save and invest so that, when u start having families,u can be able to sort ur family out.

Another thing that is killing most families these days is how some men like marring liabilities as wives and feel great about it.

How can u make it when ur salary is 100k and ur wife isn't doing anything for a living, not even WAEC certificate and u come here to tell us that, the govt is not helping matters even when u have refused to help urself.

Joblessness could increase the number of lazy men out there, keep consoling them but there is no food for lazy men.
How forceful are right words. Please how does this edify ?
Family › Re: When A Husband Is Not Providing by Wodu89: 11:46am On Aug 15, 2023
His spirit is dead inside. He needs motivation. I've met several people in this situation during my counselling sessions. The work of men is extremely hard, and it goes deeply beyond hardworking or being lazy. It goes deeper than the soul into the spirit.

What I can advice the woman is to take what he needs to him to revive his spirit.

In such a case, preachings that can revive his spirit and soul. She should be playing very good scripture based teachings at home to revive his spirit.

He's dead internally and revival can't take place if there's nothing to bring him back to life.

Ezekiel 37:13-15

If he listens to good preachings at home for sic months, he'll find his lost zeal.
