Agriculture › Re: Nigerian Kidnap Gangs Drive Big-time Nigerian Farmers Away by Wodu89: 3:10am On Jun 12, 2023
Nezzjnr:
I just laugh when people say "Enter Agriculture".

If you don't have any background experience in it... Just stay mute.

Let me not even go to security.

Farm workers are the biggest threats... They can make or mar you.... One of my workers sprayed herbicides on my Cucumber project last year... Or is it theft from them?.

One pulled gun on his fellow colleague... I couldn't deal and I sent both of them packing.

Rural dwellers are always envious especially if the owner of the farm is a young person.... You can come one morning and find out that everything has been wiped out.

Last year.... A Friend of mine had his 15 acres of plantain Farm razed down by fire by some rural dwellers.

If you have a fragile heart and fragile mind... Please don't enter Crop production so you won't start having wrinkles on your face.

We pray for a better Nigeria so people can do the business of Agric with ease.
Locals initiated voodoo on a farm land I got last year. Immediately I moved tractor to the site and cleared like 30 acres, I got sacked from a very stable job I had kept for over a year that was funding the enterprise. Imagine losing 1.2M PEr month paying job because of some adventures

Information must be balanced though, I've been to hundreds of farming communities asides from this one I mentioned I never get envoius vibes, rather they support us. Let's not overplay the negative narratives.

I saw the rave, vibe and headlines Rotimi made. A whooping 10,000 - 30,000 acres farming project. The problem isn't insecurity in it's entirety but Nigerians and greed. How can someone have a farmland that can generate billions per annum and can't have stable security strategy, systems and workers and spend maximum of 10 Million per year. The farm owners of large scale farms are simply greedy. I've seen their setup well enough to recognize it. If I own a large scale farm, I must invest heavily in security.

One of Messi's Balloon do'or was actually Ronaldo's own as he performed better that year

Lewandoski was duped of a Balloon do'or award

Perez also stole one of Ronaldo's Balloon do'or award for Modric

I won't forget Andre Ashavin 2005-2006 epl season. I wonder why Ashavin had to score for Arsenal for a game Arsenal didn't need to win, Ashavin scored I think a brace or an hat trick making Liverpool loose the epl titleship that year

An interesting topic, however I have a question, have you considered a heavy duty industrial drone, or it won't work or rather too expensive? Just a question out of curiosity.
I am considering heavy duty industrial drones. Can you be kind to post specifics on samples and their online purchase links please ? Even on Amazon or Alibaba. I want to be sure to consider the right product specification

I have decided to experiment with all the methods suggested in the threads and draw my personal conclusions after one year trial system on all the methods

You can see. I've found another seer. The recent subsidy removal is purely semantics and indiscretionary thinking and action. Nigerians are reacting from previous hardships and not acting logically hence falling into this new trap. Well done, seer

Well you should have run for office then.

On a more serious note, the issue with subsidy is unless one is paying for the thing with taxes ( and the taxes have to grow with the subsidy which means we would be paying heavyweight taxes to keep fuel at 40 naira) it would end up dwarfing your revenue

Like Iran right now. Their subsidies are now twice their oil revenue. And yes, the government is contemplating removing subsidies

Again you cannot completely stop smuggling unless you seal of the country.

Finally subsidies prevent profits being made. Especially when the losses that subsidy is supposed to.cover for grow too.fast because of rising producing costs
Pharaoh went to the prison to get the person who had the knowledge to solve a looming crises not just for his entire nation, but for the entire region in ancient world. Knowledge many times is in the heart of the vessels that carry them

I can solve Nigeria's subsidy problem withina year without breaking a sweat. I won't publicize my insights. The day will come when there will be a big problem that would lead to a search for me. I wait for my time
Politics › Re: Subsidy Removal: Food Will Be Very Expensive, Say Farmers by Wodu89: 4:56pm On Jun 11, 2023
nairalanda1:
Problem with Nigerian subsidy? The amount paid yearly keeps rising because the difference between production cost and subsidised pump price keeps widening. At some point the amount you spend on subsidy increases to the point that it dwarfs revenue from crude.

When you get there, you end up borrowing to pay for subsidy

You can and yes we.should plug the leakages, but we cannot do nothing about production and even transport costs.

And as for stopping smuggling of fuel..Libya subsidies fuel. It also has a massive smuggling problem with fuel to the point that the government is using air strikes on smuggling dens. Ditto Iran and Venezuela.
Trust me. I have the intellect and know-hows to fix this whole subsidy bruhaha without removing the subsidy. Our nation doesn't engage it's brightest and best

Some time ago I was listening to a preaching and the preacher asked a question,he said "What if peradventure you die and you had all this while believed that there was eternity of heaven and hell, you discovered there was none, would you regret that you lived the life you lived on earth?

I pondered on that, most people these days don't believe in eternity being real, some call it a scam or religious manipulation for the gullible, while there are those that do believe that's it's real.

What do you think?
Eternity is in our hearts and already exists in this realm. And I won't regret it. That a psychopath makes his sick imaginations public should not sway a real believer
Politics › Re: Subsidy Removal: Food Will Be Very Expensive, Say Farmers by Wodu89:
Unplanned Feul subsidy removal is like a worker quiting his job before.planning for how to keep up with family needs. E go suffer.

We keep telling them the practicality of the
unplanned removal of the Feul subsidy is devastating

Subsidy is the only way the nation gives back to the citizens without saying take free money and the only provision for the removal of the subsidy is still the subsidy itself. Many Nigerians won't rise above the hardship it would create for up to 5-10 years

The bigger enemy isn't subsidy , but lack of management and control of subsidy payments because of infalted invoices. This means the invoicing system, recording and 0ayment structure is the problem in itself not the subsidy. The baby should not be thrown away with the bath water. Rather the bath water o ky needs to be made clean

The citizenry looses alot with the removal of subsidy payments because in this clime, salaries do not increase readily, meaning purchasing power becomes more and more difficult with this economic overhaul.

Maintaining the subsidy is to the benefit of the average citizen. It's managing the invoicing system that's the problem. We can have metered and regulated suslbsidy payment in place with FG placing caps on subsidy payment and then hedging the excesses against Government backed bonds, so short term economic traction is cushioned by long-term macrofinances of the court ey.

If invoicing and lack of accountability is the issue with feul subsidy, then why don't we grant licensing that pays subsidy payments based on metered importation allowance?

When would Nigeria let thinking people lead ? When !

The same 2012 problem is repeating itself. Sensationalism. Assuming that the subsidy only implies people stealing,.forgetting or not even considering it's benefits.

The average minimum wage of a worker can't mean anything in a post subsidized feul economy.

Increase in food prices, Housing, transportation, lifestyle all at once without corresponding rise in salary payments is nothing short of a disaster. Be it Peter Obi, Tinubu, Atiku subsidy removal must be planned and strategized before actualized

In the end, the bigger enemy is the Hausa Fulani hegemony who setup cabals in all state instructions to run them down so private ones are setup to mop up the national treasury. Nigerian refineries and Dangote is typical

If Hausa and Fulani allowed our refineries worked like NLNG, we wouldn't be talking subsidy removal or Dangote

The focus must be maintained. For Nigeria to work, Hausa Fulani hegemony has to die

Wow. I've made alot of loses in millions too before. One must pass through losses to finally get it right. I feel the need to have a system setup for agriculturists throughout the country because of the looming danger of climate change. Even regular rain season farming is not up to 80% reliable again !
