I need the guidance of anyone here in UK, London that applied for Canada visiting visa and submitted and collected their passport. In my own case, I just got the request to submit my passport today and it kind of clash with my travel to Morocco in the next 30 days. How long does it take you to get back passport after submitting to VFS london.

I applied for a visa to attend a conference scheduled to hold between 20 and 24 of next month .
I submitted my application on 29/11/2021, biometrics was done on 10/12/2021. No response from them since and the conference is less than one month.
Can I still reapply using the new portal considering the time frame ? Or should I just get a new invitation from the organizers for the June edition ? If yes can I still submit the same documents e.g bank statements ..

For the person who was asking if he/she can work and pay his/her school fee. It’s currently possible especially during this post pandemic season. I am believing that UK is witnessing a drastic reduction in key workers across many sector. Especially Health and Logistics.

Students on tier 4 visa can now work unlimited hours. Provided you picked a care wok or NHS job.

I will advise that you also consider schools that allow installments payment . Like Teesside University that structured payments into 8 -10 a semester.

I have searched and contacted many (agents and landlords) via various websites I got here including the university accredited landlords. However, all have proven abortive.

Thanks for the response. I can pay for my hotel accommodation and sponsor myself. I actually thought a month is the least they give on tourist visa, that’s why I said a month but I might not stay up to 2 weeks. To be sincere, I am just going for sightseeing and vacation in Florida…then return back to UK. I still have much to do here as a student.

I think there are forces delaying collection mail these days o. I've heard like 10 people saying they received decision mail and since then, No collection mail.
I'm planning to call UKVI today for escalation. I got decision mail since last week Wednesday which ticked 15 working days. Since then, I've been a professional in refreshing emails without nothing
