Thank you Uwaiwe for the response. Appreciate

Uwaiwe:

Dubai is a cashless society I don't think its possible to ask for cash at point of entry. Though I travelled to Dubai last month and have never show cash anywhere in the world at airport even in Nigeria during departures. My cash is in my debit/ credit card. That's my reply as always. Though its advisable to always have cash In dollars while travelling for emergency purposes and not to show immigration.

Still seeking current info on this house...

Pls I need your help urgently. Are we required to show cash (Dirhams or Dollars) at the point of entry to be let in as Nigerians? Heard it somewhere and wanted to be 100% sure. Thanks ahead my people.

Yeah, but I'm faraway in Abuja.

So, I can courier the docs without waiting for email? Thanks

hostsleek:
They actually prefer you submit it in person. especially for those living in Lagos
1. Why is she going to Brazil (Purpose of Travel)
2. Where does she work
3. If she was pregnant
4. Why did we not come to submit ourselves instead of using a courier since we stay close to the VI
5. When is our travel date.
6. when did we get married

It will end in praise.

Pls did you send supporting docs via courier immediately you filled out the online application and chose by mail order?

Want to know cos I plan to send in my docs tomorrow via DHL even without getting any email from Embassy.

@hostsleek, kindly advice. Thanks ahead!

Happy Sunday my people,

So, I started my freelance journey (on Fiverr) here in 2018, and I'm super grateful to Beatzone who setup this community and the amazing, selfless freelancers here who kept dropping tips.

Today, I'm now fully on Upwork and have made 10's of thousands as a freelance copywriter.

I now have a full blown freelance academy and the primary platform we help people get on is Upwork.

Now, I want to expand that to include Fiverr and so I'm looking for freelancers who have the following qualities:

1. Can teach a group class (step by step) how to setup on Fiverr and get gigs

2. Have results to show (at least $5K earned on Fiverr and willing to show proof

3. Can commit to a long-term relationship with us at the academy to help every Cohort/set get started on Fiverr

Pls reach out on What.Sap if you think you're a good fit. Gracias!

0.7.0.6.6.0.1.1.1.2.3

Looking forward ☺️

Hey man, please can you send the contacts of legit exchangers for my Payoneer funds? Thanks a milli...

PuZZyNegro:

You can sell to an exchanger here once you make withdrawal.

I can help you with contacts of legit exchangers to avoid falling prey to scammers.

Alternatively, you can withdraw the fund to the bank account linked to your payoneer account. Just log in to payoneer and click on withdraw and follow the instructions.

Withdrawal to bank account offers lower rates than what exchangers can offer you. I sell my fund for up to 415/$ to exchangers

Geenosko:
So the lockdown in SA was extended by two weeks to the end of April so that will make it five weeks in total.

For the first time in my life, I spent two weeks without seeing the gate of my apartment. I stepped out for the first time in two weeks.

Lockdown affects people in different ways. Personally, I have had a very productive time primarily because I have people to talk to, things to actually keep me busy and not having to worry about the sound of generators.

We will beat this corona thing but life may not return to normal after this.

Stay strong
Stay safe
And most importantly, stay at home

Indeed it's never going to be business as usual. There's going to be a new, disruptive era where only those who position well will succeed.

Unfortunately, it's gonna catch the majority unawares, and just thinking of it alone is baffling.

@ Geenosko, I notice you're always eager and ever so happy to flash the constant light and high speed data in SA in everyone's face (smiles).

@ all, I insist this is a time of prayer, sharing, and restrategizing.

God help us all!

Day 8 of 21 in South Africa
Haven't stepped out of my apartment sef.
House fully stocked
24/7 electricity
Super fast Internet
Close buddies around
Free three weeks break from work lol
So yeah, I'm enjoying myself grin

Nice...surely lockdown is not all woes. It can be a good time to bond with family, go back to the drawing board, and rethink or perhaps restrategize on travel plans.

It's amazing how this thread literally turned into a 'ghost town.' COVID-19 has really done a number on anything travel...I understand.

But, guys, when do you think the borders will reopen so everyone can go about their normal lives?

Let's keep the conversations going, after all, we are on lockdown (aka, we've all the time to spare, no?)

Lol. You pple still wanna travel in d midst of all this. Q So dont bother traveling. Whether u r from a high risk country or not. Some passengers of some flights are currently stranded at the airport in joburg now and they are desperately looking for flight to go back as they were not allowed entry.
SA is not smiling now.

Sure, one must watch before traveling in this troubled times.

However, already granted SA visas where revoked for people coming in from high risk countries, no?

Geenosko:

It's only from high risk countries.

Local flights aren't suspended. Yet.

SAA has suspended all international flights however other inter airlines can still fly into SA for now but that can change quickly.

Many thanks Geenosko for the clarification. A contact in SA told me this, but the ones I have been able to confirm (just as you said) is the travel ban from high risk nations and SAA's decision to suspend flights till 31st May.

I read somewhere that SAA is currently "troubled."
How true?

No...dont come into SA for now. Nigeria seems to be a little safer for now.

If you have a multiple entry visa then you may just hope that the corona pandemic ends soon. Else its technically a no use visa.

Yeah, I pray COVID-19 ends soon, not just for international travel, but for the sake of the world's health and wealth.

Ok so I and my wife applied for SA Tourist visa on the 10th of March and we got our passports back with visas on the 18th.

Funny thing is SA has banned all local and international flights in and out of the Republic.

This has got to be one big joke, right?
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by WordFamous: 3:10pm On Mar 18, 2020
Hi guys, this forum has been so silent. Has anyone gotten visas or their passports this week? Anyone?

Also, what's the situation in SA now. Is it advisable to travel to SA, say for vacation if granted visa?

Let's keep the conversations flowing people...
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by WordFamous: 12:33pm On Mar 12, 2020
Hey Nonkala,

There's no point threatening them. I mean, they hold all the cards and power here.

I'll suggest you bury the hatchet and reapply as advised. And don't make any reference to the earlier reason you were denied.

Just do a fresh application and hope for the best this time.

Best wishes

@ Zubydee thanks. But I already paid fully for 5 days AirBnB in Pretoria from May 14th-19th. It's the remaining 23 nights after that I booked via hotels.com.

Will this work...or you must pay for every single day on your return ticket?

Anyone please. Thanks

quote author=ZubyDee post=78346944] was the booking paid for ? If not atleast make 3 days payment if not you’ll not be allowed in at Poe.
Hi Mroyato...I just booked 23 days for a hotel in Capetown via hotels.com. I hope the reservation confirmation from them is OK for POE guys?

I remember VFS requiring direct booking at Visa application phase. So, I really need clarifications ASAP cos my flight is tmr.

Everyone, help a brother resolve this. Thanks in advance

mroyato:
1. You need to be able to present proof of accommodation during your intended stay if you are asked at the point of entry. So I advise that you make an unpaid reservation for other cities you intend to visit just in case you are asked.

2. If you have a Mastercard you don't need to travel with cash as your card will work in most malls and POS in SA. However, keep about 2000rands in cash just in case.
