Just to be clear, Asiwaju was my Senator in 1992 but I will only cite few of his stewardship I can recall now. So those I listed below is not exhaustive

As the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu recovered what is now called Eko Atlantic from the raging Atlantic ocean Lagos Bar beach coast line flooding (for decades that problem even some of the more developed nations explain away as climate change problems) defied all solutions by FG and the highbrow strategic Victoria Island was deteriorating fast with businesses, embassies, hotels etc exiting VI in droves. During that time, the Atlantic ocean flooding reach the fringes of Ozumba after the flood completely take over Adetokunbo Ademola. Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.

It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.

Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see were created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.

Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returned missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgraded most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .

The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries.
When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaji Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.


Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos . One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.

That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, created Tutors-Generals offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc.
I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir/ma

Obi again mounted the podium today in Kaduna to regurgitate the problems facing Nigeria. Telling the audience he would solve the problems without enumerating how he would do it. He said he would solve security problems and that northerners should just trust him. He didn't mention a thing he would do to solve the problem.

I have watched the three candidates and I feel proud to say that the only presentation that has substance and pinpointedly talked about solutions to unemployement, insecurity, industrialization, etc was Tinubu.

The above Scriptures make it clear that Atheists instinctively know the truth about God, but because of pride they reject Him.

The root of Atheism is pride... atheists hate to acknowledge the fact that there is someone infinitely greater and wiser than them. The reason why they are always active in this section and always opening threads and replying in threads is simply because of their conscience.

They know that there is a God, but they hate Him because they have a wrong perception of Him. They constantly deaden their conscience and the witness of God in their hearts by saying the kind of things they say here.

One example is Workch. He posts here constantly because his conscience troubles him. And whenever his conscience troubles him, he makes a post here as an act of reinforcing his false beliefs, and thereby deadening his conscience and the same if true of all atheists on here.

If you want to know how often the atheists in nairaland think about God, observe how frequently they post or reply posts here. God is speaking to their hearts and when he does speak to them they silence Him and come here to find solace in their postings.

They are very proud people. They fear and hate considering the fact that their beliefs are wrong. They are deceived and set in their false beliefs and shun the truth.

So whenever you see an atheist posting here know that they do so out of insecurity (which is the root of pride). They are very insecure, prideful and rebellious people who find false security in their false beliefs about God.

An atheist will say they don't believe in God, but the reality is not that they don't believe in Him, but that they dislike Him and don't want to submit to Him. Because the existence of God is very obvious and well backed by infallible evidence.

Dear atheist, this is my advice: you need to honestly consider the fact that your beliefs are wrong and be openminded towards finding out the truth which is only in Jesus. Visit apologetics sites like apolegeticspress.org. Seek to know the truth and you will find it.

The first step to knowing anything is to be honest to yourself and admit you don't know, and only then can you know the truth.

@op, the earlier you understand that Tinubu is the most brilliant politician ever emerged from Nigeria politics, the better for you. If Awo, Zik, Abiola and other first and second Republic politicians get the same level of tactics and intelligent, they would've became president especially Awo UPN in 1976 general election.

If not that some Nigerians are sturbon and always like to write unrealistic jagons about politics, they should not have underestimated this man ever again after APC primary election.

Tinubu is only politician who can say " ELO FOKAN BALE" ( go and let your mind be at rest) amidst serious gang up from his most trusted allies and political sons and still won by wide margin.

Though anything can happen in 2023 election but don't ever underestimate Tinubu on ballot. Northern elites knows that a Northerner after 8 years of Buhari is a recipe for unforseen political turbulence from the South, and they are not ready to face the consequences. They will definitely thread carefully in working for Atiku. PDP would've won easily if Peter Obi is their candidate with all these wave of supports he is currently enjoying.

Why do you choose the downfall of Tinubu when that will not translate to Obi's win?

Why is it too difficult for you to come up with a convincing argument on how your candidate can win but put all your energy into how Tinubu will fail?

Is it only Tinubu that is the threat to Obi's success when we have Atiku that is directly a threat to Obi because both candidates will share from the same poll of voters?

1. Ever-confidence and over-reliance on northern APC structure: This is a wrong move as he thinks he has what it takes to defeat two northerners in the north, which is most likely not going to happen.
He doesn’t have the Charisma to beat Atiku on his turf. He’s not Abiola.
Kwankwaso will get more votes in Kano than Tinubu.

2. Deliberate underestimation of the relevance of southeast and southsouth:
While southeast may have the smallest voters figure, but be rest assured that this region gives bloc votes and because of this, they are very strategic to whoever gets their Favour (atleast about 2-4million votes). That’s a lot to win an election for someone who won’t win the north
Southsouth cannot be underestimated as well, they give bloc votes as well, even more than southeast.
This means that whatever votes Tinubu thinks he can get in southwest will be easily watered down with these two region.

3. Over-reliance of southwest: Southwest has an historical record for voters apathy, even aside that, southwest is the most metropolitan region, it’s hard to win here with above 70% even as an indigene.

4. Self-entitlement: he thinks it’s his birthright and ignores everyone who thinks they deserve to hear what he has to offer. He doesn’t respect invitations to speak. Too proud for so many people.

5. Health: he’s sick and people don’t want a health Tourist as president.

6. Godfatherism: a lot of people don’t admire Tinubu because of this. EVen many Yorubas are not confortable with having a proud godfather who will always not listen to them hence he cannot get all Yoruba votes.

7. Muslim-Muslim ticket: this will ensure that he loses votes of northern Christians, some southwest Christians and most votes in southeast and southsouth. Hence making it difficult for him to nullify the defeat atiku will give him in the north.
