Let's try to understand ourselves, I know that bowing is a sign of respect in Yoruba culture but it doesn't mean much in Igbo culture.

It's understandable that you want Pete Edochie to respect your king exactly the same way you do it but that's insensitive. In Pete Edochie's culture, a feathered High chief cannot bow to anybody, not your Ooni, or Obi of Onitsha or even king Charles of England.
Pete Edochie cannot descecrate his own custom and tradition just to make you happy.

The way Pete Edochie greated Ooni would have been exactly the same way he would have greated his own King. Chieves will never bow in Igboland to anybody except Chi.

How we can strike a balance is what I do not understand but Pete cannot bow to Ooni. It's a Taboo.

You might say that an Oba is higher than a chief, that's true in Yoruba culture but not true in Igbo culture. igbos are republican, but they have always had a leadership ensconced in “abridged or fettered” monarchy. Absolute monarchy has never had sufficient reign in Igboland. This is because of the presence of sacerdotal institutions of checks and balance. It's the reason why monarchs do not get as much reverence as they get in other parts of the country.

Pete Edochie didn't mean to disrespect Ooni, his culture does not permit him to bow to Ooni. Ooni is not a recognize monarchy in Igbo land, even if he is, Pete won't still bow to him. It doesn't mean that Pete does not respect his throne.

Today I got a job offer with a salary of 350k and an official car just because I know a strong person in the company.
I use to work for another company at Ajah, I go to the office once in a week from thr mainland and it's not easy. My salary is 200k and I don't really like the work environment, I am tired of the job and this new job is not far from my house, its in Ikeja. My girlfriend whom I have known since 2011 when I was doing my I.T (WE dated then broke up, she came back last year January) connected me with one of her friends that I use to know back then. This her friend is married to the nephew of the CEO of this company and she works there herself.

She got my CV, 3 months ago, waited for a vacancy and made sure that it was not advertised. See, the interview, na only me dey there, the job was kept for me. It was not even an interview, it was a conversation and they were just telling me about the company, no stress. That's the power of knowing somebody, this will not be possible i didn't get a strong referral.

This morning I got my appointment letter. I asked them to give me 1 month to tidy up my account in this current office.
Try and build connections, know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody. Ask for referrals, it's going to make the whole job hunt easier.

I forgot to ask, date girls that have substance. Don't date girl wey be liability

owerri has better planning, better roads, better serenity, better hotels, better shopping malls and it's bigger than Ikeja. Accept it and let peace reign.

Seriously, Ikeja is small. The international Airport is not in Ikeja, it's the local airport that is in Ikeja. The international Airport is in oshodi isolo local government, ask anybody that knows Lagos.

See the biggest and finest hotels in Ikeja is Ibis at toyin and The Rembrandt (formerly Renaissance hotel) in Awolowo, opposite lateef jakande. And maybe presken that has like up to then hotels in Ikeja.
