This model for growing Pineapple using nylon covers should be applied to other crops like water melon and cucumber to discourage weed growing. I think this will go a long way in controlling weeds, as manual weeding may destroy the vines thereby adversely affecting output or what do you guys think?

You are the only one commenting on this thread that's why I felt compelled to comment. Anyways, Agribusiness is a money spinner only for the patient...its not a get rich quick scheme! Youths today do not see the opportunities in Agric as some of us do. So, rather than scout for youths to get interested and involved in Agriculture. Its best you look out to those already in Agriculture, share information with them and learn from them...that's the model that works well.

We are not using herbicide. We will be weeding manually. We have not been able to find a selective herb for vegetables. Till then its manuall weeding.

A friend told me today about a selective herbicide for cucumber so I will test it with a small potion of the farm and see what up next week.

On a serious note, the requirements for obtaining a banking facility is not rocket science. Bank statements, financial reports, company & management profile, cashflow projection for the proposed duration of the facility, proposed collateral etc would generally be required.

NB: There is no "one-size-fits-all" checklist for this since agribusiness has a wide coverage.

My brother am happy for you because the first and most important thing in agriculture is land all other things follow.
You question is a bit wide. But I will try to hive you some tips.
You can't plant the two together so you need to seprate them but both are highly lucrative almost the same germination period. But plantain will cost more to setup compare to cassava
