See how inflation is killing us!
This question made sense in 2021, but ask the same question today. Everyone will be saying the same thing: "WHAT IS N100K??"
I think people advising Nigerians to remain here are from a particular tribe and or religion.
The funny thing is if these same anti japa folks gets the opportunity to leave, they will jump on the next flight available.

But we know that each party would have promises before being elected into power and whoever is elected to power must key into those promises.

Otedola acquired shares in Transcorp
Now, Elumelu also has acquired.

Dear Lord, Bless me with like 100 million dollars so that I can acquire too.
I want them to read it here on Nairaland that iCauseTrouble acquired 50% shares of Transcorp
How will God bless you with 100m dollars? Just like that? You think God is a typical magician? It doesn’t work like that. This kind of wealth takes years if not generations to build. You can lay the foundation for your future generations though.

Travel / Re: Which Country Can I Migrate To With 3.5M? by worried222: 11:37am On Apr 26, 2023
Mcslize:

If perhaps you studied a professional course like Engineering, it would have been easier to use that to migrate to Australia even without prior work experience as you can be assessed under the competency demonstration report that is based on your Engineering knowledge without claiming work experience.

Fortunately, Australia will increase their migration quota in this coming financial year. So many professionals will be granted visas.

All you just need is to secure a superior English test and assess your engineering Qualifications.

Even those that studied Education courses are hot cake in the Australia migration, as they only need their teaching practice to be assessed. No prior work experience is needed just teaching practice that they usually do during their 300 level. B.ED are hot cake. If you know anyone that studied Education and has the money for Australia migration, inform them.

The reason why studying STEM science courses is good.
I’m a software developer with a degree in computer science. I want to migrate to Australia via work visa. I have 3 years working experience.
Nigeria don tire me!

Where are those anti japa fools? 😠
If you earn less than 800k to 1m naira per month and you have a viable means to leave this country please do. It might take a while for you to settle down but with time you will realize that you’ve done your future generations a lot of good.
Do this especially if you younger than 40.
It’s mostly difficult for the older folks to settle but trust me, they will.

We  Nigerians and our one way thinking. Yes there are jobs in UK for international students we just dont see them or rather our one way thinking dont make it possible. I only share this with my family members before but I am so annoyed I will share it with you. If you are coming here please learn a trade in Naija before coming-capentary,tailoring,barbing,plumbing,roadside mechanics -These things will make you rich even as a student in UK . A mechanic will earn at least £200 a day, plumbers sometimes £70 an hour , who do you think cuts the black people's hair in UK? but the problem is that people come with the mindset that they want to get job in Tesco alongside their studies. no come with these skills and you will be very ok or otherwise pass your driving test and become a courier or sell things in the market. just think damn out of the box . I self sponsored for 4 years in UK and im now a British citizen since long ago .
If you are ready to pay consultancy to me mehhn your landing will be smooth. Self ive divulged too much, lol, that's a joke but i like to help. UK is still dripping with money just change your mindset and learn the street a bit. selah

The aforementioned jobs are not even being monitored by the government so technically you can do 100 hours a week if you like and nobody can prove it . A friend's wife sells Marykay self and makes big bucks. stop your working in Tesco mentality and UK will be nice for you. peace
Think about this-my mechanic in Hackney told  one day  bros I bought two houses cash . Noone bothers with him because the government cannot monitor them and things are done under the table. Im a software engineer but studying in UK is far better than studying in America and Canada and you are likely to get your kpali if you know how to play  the system without anything fraudulent self. All the people shouting UK no get job should wake up if they want to come and learn from my advice. Now where is my consultancy fee NAIRALANDERS?
Greetings sir.
I’m a software developer with 3+ years of experience and a bachelors degree in computer science.
I’m planning to relocate to the uk via the study route and do my masters in software engineering or data science.
I will be glad if I can connect with you for more advice.

**My encounter today in Gwagwalada**

I am in Gwagwalada immigration office now to collect the passport I captured for, on the 20th of September. But what I am seeing here is beyond me, the officer they referred me to in S. A. to PCO office is showing me my file, that they pulled it out from production because I did not pay for settlement they called it compliance fee, that they are not going to do it.

It was a big drama today in their office, after I raised my voice that he remove my file because of bribe and no fault of mine and he didn't call to notify me of it since that day, to bring the so call compliance fee so that they can go ahead and produced the passport and he didn't even know if it was on health ground that I am doing the passport.

He asked that we should discuss and I told him that there is nothing I will discuss with him, that what I am there for is my passport, that he will explain later why he decided to remove my file from production when there was no issue with the file. At this point a lot of people both visitors and his fellow officers where all listening to the issue.
He decided to work away from the the office and asked my to leave, of which I told him I am going nowhere He came back about fifteen minutes later and called me and start by saying that he is going to produce the passport since it was on health ground that he is actually sorry for the whole thing, that he actually noticed the day I came for capturing I was not feeling well and that was why then he allowed me to captured, that it was a mixed up, and I will get the passport next week and he end up giving me his number. All this was because I raised my voice that he must explain why he removed my file from production.
NB, they are very fast in Gwagwalada office, they have finished up to September and they now producing October.

This was my update then.
Thank you for taking your time to respond.
I want to know when this drama happened?
An officer told me few weeks ago that they are producing for January already. I captured on February 27.
He also said that they are fast

Please I have a fiancée whom I plan to marry months from now. I am targeting January 2024 session for my masters. If we get married around October, will she be qualified to join me in march 2024 asap a dependent? I read somewhere that your partner must have been married to you for a stipulated time period (I think it’s six months) before (s)he is qualified to join you as dependent? Please gurus help me with your input.

But he buys properties in nigeria, his investments, families and expenses are in Naira
Thank you jare!
I find it hard to understand why people just chose to ignore the obvious reality.
Someone who is based here before traveling to the west is not wrong when he or she converts his “savings” to naira at the end. Note I said savings and not earnings/expenses.
Because many people traveling abroad are looking at investing in their home country someday.
A friend of mine who traveled to uk came back last year December and bought lands here and there in the east. He traveled via study route and stayed for two years before coming back to see his people.
It’s as simple as this: A Nigerian based bus driver that traveled to the uk and continued with same job will be far better financially than his counterparts here in Nigeria after a given time say 5 or 10 years.
Same with every other professions except politicians!
As a software engineer here in Nigeria, body dey pepper me when I see what my counterparts earns in uk/us/canada and someone is talking rubbish.
I’m not even talking about the standard of life and availability of basic amenities or security.

Do you know if there’s enough jobs in the city where the school is located at? Have you done research on this aspect? Just asking because I am also looking msc in data science too.

I used my access credit card and the school got credited less 24hrs. I was charged about 3800usd as per Flywire exchange fee.
Get a CAC and obtain a card from ur financial institution.
Please what do you mean by CAC? Is it like a registered company with Cooperate Affairs Comission?
How much can one have in order to be eligible for a credit card?
