CultureRe: Slavery in the United States (1775-1865) by worry246(m): 3:21pm On Jan 15, 2011
Allways remember that it was black africans that went into the country to capture people and sell them to arab or white traders.
Slavery only worked with the help of africans capturing & selling africans.
The white men could not have gone out into the country only Africans.

TravelRe: Is It Possible 4 A French Nationality To Have A Nigerian Citizenship, Passport? by worry246(m): 5:23pm On Jan 14, 2011
The way to look at this is simple.

Your French passport will get you a visiting visa to ANY country in the world with few problems or delays.

A Nigerian passport will cause great difficulty getting visas and will cause you many problems, questions and delays when entering countries.

Just be sure ALL your paperwork is legal & you should have no problems.
How did you get French passport when you live in USA?
TravelRe: Uk Settlement Advice From My Fellow Nairaland by worry246(m): 4:31pm On Jan 12, 2011
Important thing here!
"WE HAVE A 5 MONTHS OLD BABY TOGETHER WHOS BIRTH CERTIFICATE ARE IN MY NAME WITH HIS BRITISH PASSPORT BEARING MY SURNAME."

You are not a British citizen so your child has no right to UK passport.
The childs passport should bear the mothers name if mother is British national!
This could be fraud!
TravelRe: The Uk Is A Trap. Don't Come Here To Study: by worry246(m): 3:58pm On Jan 10, 2011
Closing tier 1 post study visa to foreign students will not make any difference to industry.
There are plenty of British born students looking for placements after uni.
Just loosing a few from Africa will not be noticed.

TravelRe: How Do I Arrange Employment For Canada? by worry246(m): 3:54pm On Jan 06, 2011
You can try with HND but a higher qualification like Masters or Degree with Hons. would give you more chance,
Your job experiance might help if it is good.
Are you employed now?
Much less risk for employer to hire Canadian or US citzen from known uni.
Than African embarassed
TravelRe: How Do I Arrange Employment For Canada? by worry246(m): 11:45am On Jan 06, 2011
There are only two ways to do this.
Either you are medical doctor or engineer type with degree & job experiance which Canadian company wants.
Or you pay to slave labour "agent" who will steal your money and sell you into p-rostitution.
Ordinary person wanting un skilled job will not gain entry!

Investigators went to Mali earlier this year and estimated that at least 20,000 Nigerian teenagers and women had been smuggled there and forced into prostitution.

The network of migration routes that criss-cross West Africa are known to police as a "hot graveyard for migrants", because the number who die on the way is so great.

Arinze Orakwue, Nigeria's National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons

What we want Mali to do is say: 'Nigeria, come! We will support you,  to get the girls back.'”

End Quote Arinze Orakwue Naptip

So-called "trolley-boys" - the trafficking middle-men - run "the relay race", passing their human cargo onwards, with promises of jobs in hairdressing and supermarkets.

The true nature of the "job" is revealed later.

After receiving reports of sexual slavery from aid workers and clergy, Nigerian officials went to Mali to investigate earlier this year.

They said were "nauseated" by what they had seen: Brothels with cubicles in which young Nigerian women, many in their mid-teens, serviced as many as 20 or 30 clients a night, in order to pay off debts incurred to the "trolley-men".

"It is clear it is not consensual," says Arinze Orakwue of Nigeria's National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (Naptip). "They have no freedom of movement. They are not allowed to go outside with you, or even to make a phone call."

Naptip's hard-hitting findings, published on 29 September, also warned of what officials described as "slave camps" in Mali's north - brothels in the gold-mining towns of Kayes and Mopti.

Photographs seen by the BBC reveal precise locations and buildings examined by the team.

Not terrorist country
Just strict Muslim country with their own laws.
If you go there & break their laws then be ready to take their punishments!!!!
If you cut a thiefs hand off it stops him thieving again.
Some very rich people & lots of poor people.
Not a good place for Nigerian hussler.
Black man will stand out & easy for police to find.

OOOOO now that's a good question.
Gibraltar is a small piece of land that belongs to UK
BUT
it is attatched to Spain & they would claim ownership if possible.
Now we answer your REAL question.
Entry to Gib is controlled by UK boader agency.
Anywhere else is Spanish terratory and subject to their laws.
If you are looking to enter as an illegal you will not then get to UK!

All I am saying is that when you go through British customs be ready to explain what you have and what it is for.
A bag of herbs may look like drugs!!! shocked
What town are you visiting?
In most towns you can buy african spices and food if you know where.
Be honest, be ready for dogs smelling luggage for drugs.
Your bags WILL be checked before you see them at British airport.
If they find anything you will be FULLY exammined & detained.
TravelRe: Travelling To D Uk With Foodstuff by worry246(m): 10:37am On Dec 19, 2010
You can not bring the crayfish (or any meat or dairy products)

Make sure leaves or seeds are identified so not to be stopped for drugs!!!!!

See extract from regulation below.

What are the rules on bringing back food from a country outside the EU?

You can bring back reasonable quantities of food that does not contain anything of animal origin. For large amounts, if it is considered to be for commercial purposes then it may be subject to checks by the port health authorities at the point of import.

Personal imports of fruit and raw vegetables from outside the EU may be subject to a limit of 2kg due to plant health restrictions. For information on what fruits and vegetables are restricted and which are not restricted, see the searchable Imports Rules section on Defra's website. Also, personal imports of potatoes from non-EU countries are not permitted. For information about importing plants see the Plant Health section of the Defra website.

Some food products of non-animal origin are currently restricted for import to the EU for commercial purposes. Whilst these products can be brought in for personal use, travellers need to be aware of any health risks that such products may cause due to possible contamination. See a list of restricted products.

Personal imports of meat, meat products, milk and milk products are not allowed from non-EU countries,
