You are a very dishonest bunch.

Everything I wrote and over 100 more are all Yoruba words, be honest for once in your miserable life.

Fufu is Yoruba just like the word 'Akata' the whole world burrowed from Yoruba. We invent words for those of you who don't have complete language to use. It's Yoruba and then the rest of you.

The only people who have indigenious food close to that of Yoruba fufu are Ghanaians but their own is 'foofoo' the rest of you burrowed Fufu from Yoruba. What Igbos have is Akpu.

Liar, Ankara is from Yoruba word 'Anko ara' Ghana don't have Ankara. What Ghana call their cloths are Kente, Holland and local name for their cloths.

Gari is Yoruba

Ogiri is Yoruba. There are only two types of Ogiri in Nigeria, ogiri Ijebu and ogiri foin, both Yoruba.

Ponmo is Yoruba and Kanda is Hausa. Igbos don't have a word for it. Can you now see how your language is lacking?

Egusi is also Yoruba.

Just as Yoruba slangs are the anthem in Nigeria and abroad, the oldest words we gave are still from us, but since you are known to be dishonest, you just have to argue about what you know to be true. Just accept the fact that you Igbos burrowed these things from Yoruba and stop lying.

I can see that you are getting close to telling the truth, you have removed moin-moin from your list as igbo word, you will get the rest right soon.

The only thing that is in reality annoying to you is that your Igbo language is being exposed as a very weak language. Yoruba didn't burrow a single word from you but you burrowed over 100 words from us.

Nightmareo07:
U are talking trash!!
I font who why u yorubas like rewriting history with lies and propaganda.
Seriously is getting annoying.
NOBODY BORROWED UR LANGUAGE PLS.
Most of the names u claimed were yoruba words are not Yoruba words pls.
Stop lying. undecided

Igbekere... There is nothing like igbeker in igboland so keep it to urself.

Moin-moin... Usu akidi(igbo))
Eba......
Fufu..... Not Yoruba foofoo(even other Africans know it by that name)
Iru...... Akidi(igbo)
Gari...... Not Yoruba language.
Ponmo...... kanda
Egusi......... Not Yoruba pls
Ogiri...... Not Yoruba
Ankara...... Originated from Ghana.
Gele........ Akishi (igbo)

So my friend stop this lies its annoying.

I wasn't missing a word when I said you are out of your mind. Only you burrow word because of your civilization, Yoruba language is complete. Also, you can't burrow words and claim it to be yours, ok? Because those words have meaning and carry weight for other people where it originated. Akara for example is not just what you see on the street corners, it's a tradition on it's own especially for the dead, and just because you have tasted and liked it doesn't make it your own. What other words are you talking about? I already told you about "Soso" and the rest are nothing really, like I said liberation is everywhere, in Yorubaland, you will hardly see a house without a bottle of Schnapps which is the choice drink for liberation with my elders. Claim what is yours and leave other as burrowed food.
safetyInspector:
Just as I told you earlier that you are making no sense.Do you know how many English words burrowed from others languages? When you make use of those words while speaking/writing are you considered as speaking or writing English or other languages? Do you give credit to those languages while speaking or writing those words? You can do better than this. Of all the words the Op wrote only Akara is your concern, ok may be you will feel better if they are addressed as Jamaican Yorubas.
Business › Re: BREAKING: Apple Becomes 1st Private Company Worth $1 Trillion by wowcatty: 8:51am On Aug 03, 2018
Not at all, the company has moved to China now because they offer them tax break plus political statement they are trying to make. I don't know what Trump's response is going to be but expect to pay more for your next iphone because Trump is going to put heavy tax on companies that moved from the US. If not for greed, why should Apple still be lured with not paying taxes? I heard Google is moving too.

Culture › Re: Did You Know About The Igbo People Of Jamaica? by wowcatty:
You are out of your mind, how can you burrow something and still call it yours?
Akara is not an igbo word, and not just Akara, but so many other Yoruba words all over Nigeria are used without giving credit, it's bad!

Soso is also Yoruba

Olamide called his girlfriend 'Soso' here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiQpc5dWsjg
Okan soso = one and only/only one

And every culture i know pour liberation, from Ghana to even the bikers in the US, so you haven't made any point that connects you with the Jamaicans. Yoruba culture is the one all over the Americas and Jamaica is no exception.

[quote author=safetyInspector post=69941551]You are not making any sense. Even if Akara was borrowed from Yoruba as you claimed, it is till an Igbo word. Majority of English words you wrote with were borrowed, will I tell you that you wrote in Latin or Hebrew instead of English? [1quote author=wowcatty post=69940691]

@op, Akara is Yoruba, and when you go to the south and central Americas where it's fully pronounced, Acara je like we say in Yorubaland, you will know it's not igbo word. Though something tells me you already know but just trying to steal it anyway.

Yoruba gave Nigeria so many things aside the wealth. We gave Nigeria the following as well

Igbekere
Moin-moin
Eba
Fufu
Iru
Gari
Ponmo
Egusi
Ogiri
Ankara
Gele
Agbada

Among others.

Remember, if you don't have a name for it in your language, it's because you burrowed it from Yoruba, and it doesn't matter if you add or take a letter out of the name, it still won't be yours.

Fayose and Ffk are friends of our enemies Igbos, anyone romancing our antagonists are traitors.

Igbokwe is the most intelligent igbo alive for calling it as it is, he knows is people need to be told the truth and that he did. He never insulted his people.

Igbos are against Igbokwe because he has a penchant for insulting the Igbo tribe..Theregore Igbos disliking him is natural..

Politics › Re: Can The Binis Survived On Their Own? by wowcatty: 2:41pm On Aug 02, 2018
Thanks but no thanks!

There are still Yoruba people in Edo like Akoko Edo but they will have to make that decision whether or not to come with us. Omoluabi/Oduduwa will only have Yoruba groups in it. We can't leave Nigeria and still have people who are not Yoruba with us.

gidgiddy:
It all depends on what Nigeria breaks up into.If Nigeria should disintegrate, the very minimum Igbos will demand is that all Igbos/Igboids and Igbo speaking people in both the SS and the Benue be allowed to follow their kit and kin in the East. This will include the Igbanke people in Edo state and all of Anioma in Delta state. This will leave Edo state high and dry. A Niger Delta Republic is simply not possible.

Personally, I see a situation where Edo continues with Nigeria and later joins Oduduwa Republic whenever Yorubas start agitating for that.
Politics › Re: Can The Binis Survived On Their Own? by wowcatty: 2:30pm On Aug 02, 2018
And then the Ijaw and Urohbo empires went all the way to Ivory coast and Mali, right? Keep deceiving yourself, there were only 3 empires in the history of Nigeria, Oyo, Songhai and Kanem.

What you had was a kingdom like every other minority group, it's just that your Ogiso was blood thirsty, but still couldn't annex the smallest village around his kingdom.

Go to Ghana, Togo and republic of Benin the handwriting of the empire that got there is still on the wall. Your very own history as the modern day Benin/Bini is even more recent than these countries you mentioned.

Once there is always there!

Elose11:
Reading some people's post here tells me how sad history is no more taught in our schools. For those who knows there history, the Binis have existed more than 800 years before the nation Nigeria came into existence. Now ask yourself how did they survive then?
Asking how an empire, that at the zenith of its power, stretched from most of present day Igbo land, through most of present day Niger delta to as far as present day Ghana will survive if Nigeria, it predated, disintegrate is the height if ignorance.

You can think those three as our own Igbokwe.

Yoruba are free thinkers unlike you Igbos who think the same way. Omoluabi respect people who have Yoruba interest at heart first and foremost. Fayose and FFK are not Omoluabi and more pro Igbos than they are Yoruba. Saraki is a fulani man.

So far, Osinbajo and Adeosun are Yoruba patriots, the two haven't put others interest above that of Yoruba and I can proudly say they are our own first before they are other's.
Ofodirinwa:
Even northerners respect him. middle belt respects him. igbos respect him. Ijaw etc. Even if they don't like him, they respect him.
But all over social media, Yorubas are on the attack. Almost exclusively. Can someone explain this?

They're against Fayose
They're against FFK
They're against Saraki

but they're for

Osibanjo and Kemi Adeosun. Both silent slaves.
