Remember the promise "YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY" the world economic forum made for the people of the world? It seems we will just be singing "carry us they go our new kingdom" after taking the fentanyl democrats are shipping in by the truckload.

Nice try but I don't read trash. You will be ok.
nedekid:
Funny. Tinubu? What has he ever fixed?
Anybody can raise taxes of the population to raise revenue, especially on a commercial capital with ports, commerce, population etc. Even my driver or gate man can be governor or minister, and build bridges, roads etc once the funds are available and at worse take loans by the truckload. That is Tinubu.
It is a different matter matter when you need prudent financial management in the absence of much. Someone frugal, that will turn the account balance from amber to green. The country does not need train, infrastructure etc for the next few years, what we need is to clear debt, stabilize the naira build our foreign reserve, deal with insecurity.
Is it Tinubu that despite feeding fat from government to the point of being a trillionaire faaji loving 2 private jet riding fellow, imposed pensions on himself for life, from 6 cars to 2 brand new houses, medical for life, salaries, security, feeding etc. (despite no known source of business)
Or Obi currently the only known ex governor in Nigeria that has not collected a pin, a kobo from the state he was governor for 8 years after leaving office. That cleared debt, ran the state and for the first time ever, left funds in savings for the state and not debt.
One who when called by tax authorities, presented evedence of personal taxes with a minimum of 50m paid yearly.
Abeg, Nigeria deserves better now.

Bullcrap! No one is more tribalistic than you and your people, so spare me that!

If the markets are not owned by igbos, why are you the one saying talking war?

What I'm saying is, the govt should call your bluff and do more of it, the way it should be.
SirJerrie:
Here we go again with all the Tribalistic sentiment.
Speaking like those markets are owned by the Igbos.

Foolishness.

Politics › Re: Labour Party Criticizes Sanwo-Olu Over Closure Of Ladipo, Oyingbo Markets by wowcatty: 4:57am On Sep 21, 2022
Now this is how you do it. You closed two markets, when they come out swinging as they are doing right now, you close three more for them to go crazy. Let that sink in for a few days and then find the rest and close them all down. This is how you control your land from vultures. Yoruba's kindness to these people have only earned us insults and it's time to change.

Yorubaland is my home and where I will return as soon as Tinubu fixes the security and electricty issues. This is why we want Tinubu who knows the road well to lead at this time. Vote Tinubu and he will make worth your while and make you proud. If you really love Nigeria as you claim, you know it's only Tinubu that can fix things right now.
nedekid:
It seems you stay abroad, cos majority of you post has to do with US politics.
If I am right, then I plead with you to face your politics, let we that remain in naija try to make the place better as we have no where else to go. We are the ones feeling the pain, suffering etc in every sector and so need a completely different, out if the box character to shake things. We have tried PDP, apc, let's try something else.
Do you understand that this country is at the point of bankruptcy? That we earned roughly 1.4 trillion but spent 4 trillion last month?

Politics › Re: Lagos Impounds 4,694 Motorcycles, Convicts 1,490 Offenders by wowcatty: 6:04am On Sep 20, 2022
You are the one that can't back up your claims. All you need to check is places with high crimes like Indians, Brazil and other places, motorbikes help commuting crimes easy.

Kiddnapping and armed robbery are the two biggest crimes in Nigeria not Fulani herdsmen or banditry that just started last year or so.

Funny how you know that the cultists and other criminals use their own bikes.

Lagos is overcrowded and no matter how they fix the road, it will never work because when you put 100 people in one room, maintenance of that room will be everyday but will never show.
IamAtikulate:
This is a sweeping claim. You don't wake up and say things you can't back up with data.

The 4 biggest security threats in this country are Fulani herdsmen, BH terrorism, banditry and unknown gunmen.

Commercial bikers are not behind or re-enforcing these threats. So how do they contribute to ALL crimes every where they are found?

Criminals rarely use commercial bikers for operations because it makes catching them easier. Instead, they use their personal bikes.

Lagos cultists and agberos don't use commercial bikers for operation. They use theirs.

Commercial bikers make it easier to catch them.

Banning cultism and agbero will reduce crime rate in Lagos more than banning commercial bikers.

Banning bike, while leaving cultism and agbero will increase the crime rate.

No man was born a criminal. Circumstances is what turn people into criminal.

Easier said than done.

If you unjustly lose where you get your daily bread (God forbid), and you see 1 million Naira on the ground, you'll pick.

But if you still have what you are doing, the drive to seek out the owner will be higher than when you are hungry and you don't know where your next bread will come from.

No matter how honest you are, circumstances will break you or at least, put you near breaking point.

Commercial bike is not an eye sore. Fix the road first to become motorable, give bikers 6 months to vacate the roads and most Lagosians will support the banning of commercial bikers.

Majority of Lagosians will never support banning of Okada even they have car, unless you stay in Island or don't live in this Tinubu's Lagos.

If you live in Lagos, you'll understand that commercial bikers are not our problem but bad roads, agbero, omo nile, traffic, and cultism.

Tflex01:

Yes I hate Tinubu but I want him to be our next president.

If Tinubu who has the busiest and strongest ground game is operating at 50%, is it Peter Obi that is operating at 0.5% we should support or what are you saying?

Tinubu is the savior Nigeria needs now for all of us home and abroad to enjoy our God-given rights in our land.
nedekid:
Kai, you really hate Tinubu and moreso the country.
It is glaring even to a baby that this man is old and unfit to handle the destiny of 200m people. It would have been a different matter if he was younger or even old but healthy and active.
Glaringly age and lifestyle has not played him well. Why must we settle for someone operating at 50% capacity?
Anyway, we are in this shit together, unless you are one of those that write from abroad.

Even he dozes off, it's ok for a man campaigning 24/7. We will never know how often other candidates sleep since they are not under the microscope like Tinubu is. Atiku and Peter Obi have traveled abroad many times to go and rest but he's traveled less and just been pounding the campaign grounds here in Nigeria.

Politics › Re: Lagos Impounds 4,694 Motorcycles, Convicts 1,490 Offenders by wowcatty: 8:19am On Sep 18, 2022
Commercial bike riders contribute to all crimes everywhere they are found. It's easy to hop on and off a bike in a crime spree and blend with the crowd. Agbero are in their parks and cultists have to have a business with you or someone close to you. These two groups also depend on these bikes to do what they do. Commercial bikes will starve the activities of Agbero and cultists, so it's a brilliant move by the Lagos govt to weed from the root.

There's no way the crime rate won't reduce after this ban, the bike riders just have to move to other places they are allowed. Those you said will join crime as a result of this ban were already in the criminal gangs, no honest or innocent man will steal because he can no longer ride bikes for living, they are already criminals. It also means they are lazy who don't want to make honest living by doing something else like buying and selling even if it's pepper.

Aside the overcrowded trauma hospitals, there has to be a structure in Lagos. Commercial bikes have become an eyesore and out of control, the state can't just go the way of the dumpster. With so much insecurity in Lagos, getting rid of seas of bikes is the best thing to do. I don't know why they allowed it in the first place, well at least they are doing something about it now.
IamAtikulate:
I don't think there's any correlation between number of bikers in an area with crime rate.

Most bike people I know leave for work very early and return late, unlike agbero that doesn't have work, other than looking for who to rip off.

Even if you ban bike, we will continue to experience security issues as long as we have agbero and cultists.

Another thing you forget is that talking the bikers off the road, makes them jobless, incentivizing them to join deadline gang.

I don't and will never support any okada ban without any systematic plan.

Yes I don't think the US will be nuked because the Patriots know that the only people that are desperate is the deepstate and are on their heels. Putin actually loves America more than democrats do, he knows he will never be a super power again and not trying to be, he's just fighting for mankind which you will all find out later. Putin also knows that the West can't be trusted on anything especially when they made an agreement that they will never advance with nuclear plant near Russia's border and then saw that they had put up silos and about to add nukes, he just had to protect his people and the world. Another thing most people don't know about Putin is that he's an orthodox Christian unlike the satanists fighting him, he spends so much time in church prayer services. The war in Ukraine is not what the media is making it to be, Russia is winning against the deepstate there, he's not fighting Ukrainians and he's being careful by making sure that civilians are protected. The fight is about to intensify if the deepstate believe they pushed Russia out as announced on TV and move back to where Putin chased them out of. There was even an assassination attempt on him last week.
Tradegood:
Oh okay, I get your point of view; You don't think US will be nuked and also seem to think that only Russia can pull that off and they won't.

Noted
But that wasn't my school of thought though.
