So I noticed slight swelling on my feet yesterday, but I dismissed it ... Only for it to increase in 4 times it size today. I was glad I had escape the swollen feet. Please how did the sabi mama's cope with the swollen feet and pains. Laying on bed is so uncomfortable for me

So our Princess arrived on the 13th of January.. It was an experience but I thank God for his faithfulness. Mum and daughter are very hale and hearty. I will share my experience in my next post.

Story time.


So, I want to share with y'all something that happened to me yesterday. Just thinking about it still gives me goosebumps of what might have been. Indeed God is good.

On Sunday evening,hubby took down the curtains in a fit of sudden energy ( to me,he was only showing himself cuz he is as lazy as f.uck ). He washed them and put them out to dry. Due to the harmattan, all, save one, was dry within three hours. Both of us were too lazy to go out that night to go bring in the last curtain,which was even strange to me cuz I never leave my stuff outside overnight,no matter what. Na so we leave am for line. I don already plan say I go blackmail am to help me bring it in right before he leaves for work.

Fast forward to yesterday's morning, I made his breakfast and felt the urgent urge to go and get the curtain. While he was still getting dressed, I walked outside. As I got closer to the cloth line, I heard a sound coming from hubby's car. I moved closer and traced the sound to his tire. Air was leaking out of his tire. I took what I came out for and went back inside. I alerted him on what I saw and he rushed out to check. When he came back,he told me someone had deliberately punctured his air valve to let out the air. He even saw the cover of the tube right beside the tire. I immediately went cold all over. My husband is someone that doesn't even check his car condition before jumping in to go to work. He just opens his car, starts it and fiam! He moves. He would have unsuspectingly entered his car, driven on his usual speed of 120km/h on the highway and had a serious accident. God forbid!

The scary thing is that the villain who did this timed it so well. It happened just before I came out,which is the usual time my hubby actually leaves for work. But yesterday, I started my wahala and delayed him.

My reason for sharing this, is that most times we assume our enemies are our family members,relatives or even colleagues at work. If something had happened to hubby,I would have been cursing my village people. But I had no idea someone who lives right in my compound means me and my family harm,to the extent of trying to kill my hubby physically.

Mamas, this is our most vulnerable time. That time when we go through the valley of the shadow of death to bring into this world a new life. Don't take anyone for granted. This is the time to go on your knees and pray hard cuz that smiling face who always ask of your welfare and baby's might just be wishing you harm. We should be alert physically and spiritually. The heart of man is desperately wicked. Up till now, I don't even have a suspect in mind.
Note that all this happened before 6:30am.

End of story.

Hmm, scary indeed! But God pass them, Just be very careful and prayerful. We really live in a wicked world

I've had no past experience really, just that the drive is not there. I don't think I've ever approached my hubby for sex in our 2yrs of marriage. It's been one sided. I heard there are things i can take to boost my drive, which i plan to start taking after delivery

I had same issues after I got married. I am not just a sex person. I tried all sorts, Maca, dates, watermelon and milk. The one recipe I saw on facebook called "fin drink". it's a mixture of blended dates, coconut, Tiger nuts(ofio). Well some swore by it, tales of how it made them very Hot. I was looking forward to the magic, but it only made me sleep. Along the line one of the many things started working and I was enjoying sex, but after I got Pregnant I don't want to think of sex. I only do it since I heard it helps in childbirth.

Depending on where you stay in Lagos, there's one at katangua/super, close to Iyanaipaja.

*Hanger/cloth drier - 5500
*Wardrobe - i didnt buy cos i have. But i asked the price and its varies ranging between 40k (big colourful wooden type) to 5k (plastic types with about 4 or 5 drawers). There are some other plastic type that are even expensive as much as 40k or 30k. They are really really beautiful and good quality.
*Stainless trolley - 5k
*Baby carrier - 7500 (there are even lesser prices like 4k and less depending on quality and more expensive ones too)
*Baby outing bag - 5k
*Flask - big one 3.2litres - 6k, smaller one for outing - about 3k..not very sure again..the price isnt even clear (Gint is good..my mum has it..she tested it for 4 days..i swear the water is still hot)..unfortunately there are now fake ones and another person might not be so lucky.
*Sterilizer - 6k (i bought an empty unit) cos i bought Avent feeding bottles and the other stuffs that usually comes with the sterilizer..all together in the avent package. The avent package unit..i cant remember the price and i'm finding it difficult to see what is written here..but it wasnt less than 5500 or 6000. Cos i remember haggling on that price and i cant remember if the seller agreed sef.
*baby bath set - ranges between 5
3.5k to 15k. Depending on quality and designs. But is it not to baff for your baby?

I think i should stop here..i can't possibly write everything (baby things are so many) just decided to state some of the things that the prices are not easily discernible.

Dont follow my prices ooo...cos you may even find them way way cheaper or more. Just a guide.

I recommend any A-list diaper for the first 3months if price is not an issue or any one if you are cutting cost.

Cost of the diaper depends on your location.

My baby uses CHICCO again your location and exchange rate will dictate cost.

Powder was used from 6month of age and it was CHICCO.

Depends on your purse.

For diapers, molfix, Huggies, pampers but i prefer tova. With 1900, you can get a pack of 40 or so.

Powder isn't needed for newborn unless rashes and I recommend agnesia.

Cream,soap... Cussons(gift pack is about 1500 or so with lotion, soap, powder,sponge, oil, comb self) , boots, sebamed etc but i recommend aveeno products.

I know someone who uses sebamed for her daughter, from infancy to almost 2 years, her daughters skin is so spotless and silky. but the issue with Sebamed according to her is availability.
