The one that annoys me most is when some guys make unnecessary calls about expecting a ship/container arrival at sea port and other lies just to entice a lady sitting besides them in keke or other public transports. |

OP, I think your article only centres on personal management of wealth not necessary working in an oil/gas company. There are people working in banking, telecommunication and some blue chip companies who spend lavishly more than oil workers.
Agreed, people look up to you as been financially stable enough to put food in their mouth but if you create that avenue for yourself, you will become their father christmas.
Be prudent in spending and curb this luxury life for personal investment/project, etc. |

Atimes I am forced to say PMB is extremely dumb and a tribalistic man. You sacked someone and still make him the chairman of NNPC board. I just don't get it. Just look at names that constitute the board of directors.
Well 2019 is around the corner, if he continues this rubbish even his brother will vote him out let alone the southerners. |

ArmedRobber: Look am an indigene of the state, I know the genesis of highway hawking in my state.
While growing up hawking is only limited within the streets, Not until igbo boys start hawking highways, that was when the yoruba hawkers joined in the highway hawking business, If u grow up in Lag,you will understand. SMH |

Jamean: I was in the kitchen doing my laundry Henceforth ko, already ni.
They are hard on the hawkers because they know that they are helpless unlike the agberos and other nuisance that have societal figures as their patriarch, they are aware it won't be an easy fit to get rid of them. Madam, seems u are finding it difficult to comprehend my statement. Let me put in a lame man explanation. LGA has ban activities of omo oniles, etc. As for the hawkers, I also feel the decision is harsh but it's for their safety and that is what a reasonable government should do. However, Ambode should provide mobile/mini shops to accommodate their activities just like the way its being done in western countries. |

Politics › Re: Enforcement Of Ban On Hawking In Lagos Starts Today by wristbangle: 8:43am On Jul 04, 2016 |
Jamean: Why didn't they also ban the agberos and street touts who want to live on other people's earnings. Placing a ban on the hawkers without providing an alternative means of earning a living will only increase crime rate.
Don't cut your nose off to spite your face. Where were u when lagos state announced last week that agberos, touts and omo oniles will be apprehended henceforth? |
Politics › Re: Enforcement Of Ban On Hawking In Lagos Starts Today by wristbangle: 8:38am On Jul 04, 2016 |
I pity these street hawkers who through this medium make a living but I believe it's for their safety and best interest of the government because what happened last week was a tragedy. Imagine series of death cases recorded, traffic robbers masquerade as hawkers to rob people's hard earn money, defecating and polluting the environment.
Lagos government can provide alternative means by dishing out mobile shops within traffic areas where people can easily request for they need as a win-win situation for govt, buyers and sellers(hawkers) |
