@zimoni @ wytecat,

The beautiful & great thing about Yoruba is that we do not let politics spoil our omoluwabi, irrespective of our differences we are Yoruba & always without fail maintain the brotherhood...

Muslim, Christians, Aborisa, we think of ourselves as humans 1st before any other appellation....

God will continue to grow & bless us all...

I know you didn't mention any party, but just said that cos of what I thought you were saying indirectly.

Anyway this is all about. We are Yoruba first before anything.

Amen to your prayer.

zimoni:
Okay Bawse. But I never mentioned any political party nah. I'm not even a member of any of them, I only supported Jonah Ologogoro in the last election.

God Bless Us All.

May your family house from now on be lined up with coffins used for funerals of you, the young and old of your family, and may you all be bury in a mass grave. May tears, sorrow and confusion replace everything that had brought smiles to you previously. May you defecate and eat it. May soponna strike you with leprosy. And May ogun bath the road in your blood and most part of your flesh be feasted on by vultures. May they all come to pass in the right order. I hear your spirit says, Aseee gun!

OkaOme:
[s]
May Amadioha destroy every living soul from your family!
May all your sisters be impregnated with albino midget quadruplets and may they all die choking on abokki dicks
May your family house be used as a burial ground!
May pain and sorrow follow you all the days of your life
You will slave and labour for other people!
May your life be dented with ugly marks like a typical Yoruba man's face.
Thunder fire you! Bastard son of an ugly, crippled ritualist!

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by wytecat: 6:31pm On Oct 23, 2015
You can't blame the north alone if the whole south has not even agreed on regionalism. Check the region with the request for regionalism, SW was almost standing alone at the national conference. Keep this thread free of political sound bites. Yoruba have come of age and can do this without leaning towards any political party's rhetoric.

zimoni:
Thanks for the update Sir.

Going back to Regionalism is the only way out of this mess. We have done it before and it worked successfully for the Regions, we can do it again if we want to get out of this ravaging poverty.

Learnt States have applied for another 10Bn Loan each from FG and FG is ready to give them the Soft Loan, for how long shall states borrow from FG?

To God be the glory, Western Region was the most Successful amongst the Regions then, thank to Sage Papa Awolowo. It worked for us then, it can work for us again. The most important factor is the Political Will.

My only fear now is North. Would they approve Regionalism in this year 2015? I don't think so. They have become used to the feeding bottle approach, quota system and status-quo. They see going back to region government as a threat, they may never approve it. And with the present situation in this One Nigeriya, we would need the support of Legistators from North before it could be approved.

As far as I'm concern, Regionalism is the only solution. Big Guys(Lagos, Ogun and Ondo) may help the Small Guys(Oyo, Osun and Ekiti) till they can stand on their own feet.

And I think National Assembly should make a juicy bill that will encourage investors to invest into solid minerals. Like giving the investors certain percentage, say 35 to 40%, FG 35 to 40% and States(LG included) 20 to 30%. That will go a long way in checkmating the illegal activities of Jet Lis in Nigeria and bring about mining industries. As it is now, the Jet Lis pay certain amount to LG and State Agents illegally to carry out their illegal activities.

There is abundance of Clean Gold Deposit in Osun State that may last for about 70years at the rate of 1,000 ounce a day yet people are wallowing in poverty.

This feeding bottle approach has really killed this nation, the oyel was more of a curse than blessing.

We shall overcome the problems, we shall get to the promise land. I believe.

God Bless Yorubaland.
RomanceRe: Delta Chief Impregnates 15-yr-old Granddaughter by wytecat: 6:16pm On Oct 23, 2015
Ibos chief impregnated his granddaughter in delta, and all we are hearing is Yoruba this and that. Did Yoruba tell him to rape her or delta is a Yoruba land?

To say the entire ibos are animals and won't survive a day without Yoruba to blame for all their woes on, are an understatement.

Foolish people, why won't incest take over when you fine rapists instead of putting them in jail, and brothers and sisters can swap to help impregnate each other.

Awon oloshi gbogbo!

I thought without traffic one could make it to ibadan in 1hr from Lagos and make it to lets say many parts of Osun in another 1hr. Train will even cut it to 3/4 of the time.

Most people do that already spending hours in traffic within Lagos anyway. So living where rent is cheap and making Lagos money will get so many moving.

modath:
By osun I believe the limit is ikire or gbogan, you definitely can't be referring to Ikeji arakeji. cheesy

On a more serious note though, with high speed train, IFe is doable....only that it won't be an everyday kind of Job.

I feel for you lagosians, oluwa a fi ere si ise gbogbo yin..
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by wytecat: 11:00pm On Oct 22, 2015
With rail system connecting all the states in the SW, people can live in osun and work in Lagos. When compared to what we have now, 2 hours of commute each way won't be bad.
modath:
Lagos is both a blessing & a problem to the rest of Yorubaland, every body ti sa lo s'eko.

I think that should be next on Buhari's agenda.

For starters, in my opinion the completion and modernisation of the Lagos - Ibadan expressway should be prioritised. It remains the gateway to the rest of the SW. Why can't resources be pulled together by our leaders to finish this eyesorehuh

If we can make every public official swear with the lives of their children with ogun soponna and god of lighting that if common N1 is stolen those gods should take care of them, you will be surprised at the rate at which the country is developed. And when the Senators are paid the same as level 15 civil servants, it's only then we can get over most of our problems.
segend:
Same here, i think true federalism is the way to go, if that is not achievable, then secession. But my concern is leadership, after awolowo, i can't think of any visionary leader, only fashola comes close. reading about awolowo, and what he achieved without money from crude oil, I feel like slapping all our leaders, who have had access to much more money
PoliticsRe: Amosun Commissions 70th Mega Company In Ogun by wytecat: 8:55pm On Oct 22, 2015
Right!
Fayose came to be because of Nigeria. When we go back to regionalism or autonomy, people like him won't have a chance.

Aareonakakanfo:
Ekiti people need to vote out fayose if they're really serious about development.Development is not about sharing dericas of rice and eating amala in a public canteen

I'm sure Ekiti and Osun have what it takes too, and will not be left behind, other SW states especially Lagos must lift others up.
segend:
This is exactly my position too. if SW should secede today, am confident of ogun, lagos, oyo and ondo. Ekiti and osun are also my fears. Aregbe will make it difficult for APC to win next election in the state

I'm glad nigeria had a glimpse of what would happen if ibos are put in charge of the country.
winniz:
See how you Yorubas keep lying all over the place, how did SE make up 80% of GEJ's administration?
PoliticsRe: My Position On The Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB Biafra Struggle by wytecat: 5:11pm On Oct 22, 2015
Nice one @op for distancing yourself from biafra. At least you won't be called Yoruba since you are well known here.

I want ibos to get their country and take those willing to go with them, but not consulting with anyone before drawing maps and the insults on other tribes make it look like a joke.

There's no need for niger deltans to feel guilty about not supporting biafra because SE made about 80% Jonathan's administration and ibos were only fighting to keep themselves in power during the elections, and not all because of Ijaws or niger delta as you are made to believe.
