Europeans provided you Ibos the first clothes to cover your bodies, and called you "savages". meforyou1: were u wearing designers before white man came? Igbos were visited by Europeans about 500 years ago. When did the first white man visit lagos? I know the history of my people wholly and know much about your cowardly people's history. I have visited abeokuta and visited the rock. And was shown the hellhole where men, women and children of the town were hiding those days when the fulanis come calling. |

Let the name be given last night, we know who are Yoruba. You descendant of idanre monkeys who didn't put on clothes until the white men came, what exactly do you know about your history, let alone others. meforyou1: you keep saying yoruba as if yoruba is not a recent name given to you by fulanis that conquered yorubaland from kwara to ibadan. And headed towards lagos but was stopped by Europeans who had conquered lagos at that time. |

Really? What business was she into? As a finance minister it would be unethical for her to have side deals cos of conflict of interests, and if she had broken the law, then she will have to face the EFCC, and it still boils down to the same issue, she stole, and must be made to return the loot. Buhari will accept the building, diamonds and Hermes handbags. Fg needs to set up auction ministry to sell off these things and use the money for the poor. NIGERIALOLoCOM: I can't believe an intelligent and smart fellow like you would allow monthly salary limit your financial growth and expansion. |

Ibos are not even 5%, they are just opportunists who try to cash in on anything to make everything their own. I can bet anything that Buhari didn't have them in mind when he made that comment, but see how they have managed to wedge themselves in the middle of that, very pathetic attention seeking irritants. Who doesn't know that Ibos didn't give Buhari 5% during the elections? Who didn't know that there are some states that actually gave Buhari 5%? So how did Ibos become the 5% when it doesn't apply to them? How did 0.1% become 5% OPCNAIRALAND: We can change the name.of Lagos State to Olofin State to reflect the history and rights of origin. All it takes is a Government gazzette, and that will be it, and there is nothing any Ibo can do to stop that.
...but why do we even need to? A political five percenter is an irrelevant voice and does not dictate policy for us. |
Politics › Re: Message To All Yoruba People On The Ownership Of Lagos. By... Edwin Uko Philip by wytecat: 9:33pm On Aug 23, 2015 |
Benin never conquered any tribe in Lagos, there were only Ijebu and Awori Yoruba in Lagos and were never conquered by any outside forces. If anything, the reverse is the case, as you will never see an Edo town or settlement in Yorubaland, but there are Yoruba speaking towns in Edo. Edo bear Yoruba name, no Yoruba bear Edo names. Only the conquered adopt not the other way. Yoruba is bigger and better with language, culture and religion that is recognized all over the world, Benin doesn't come close, so Benin or Edo is not on the same level with Yoruba, if anything they could only have been a lost Yoruba subgroup. As for Lagos, only Yoruba have claims to it and that includes Yoruba people of Edo. Others can only drool and wish. AlPeter: Well, Dosumu and Akitoye are both YORUBA names your argument is dead on arrival BTW the Benin Kingdom conquered the tribe in lagos does not mean they own it.... |

Why are they losing hope? It's barely 100 days.
The money should be given to the elderly and disabled, others should be helped through their home states and local govt empowerment programs with one time interest free soft loans.
Buhari can direct the monthly security vote paid to governors to be used for the people, with every state responsible for paying out the money to indigenous population only. |

She's not a reknown economist by any standard, just in your ibotic mind. She was a failure . She was one of the directors of African affairs in world bank and her salary couldn't have been more than $200,000 per annum and after taxes and bills, nothing is left. She came to work for Nigeria and received salary in US$ in which Obasanjo wouldn't have paid her more than $200,000 per month, now factor in her lifestyle and her failed "urologist" husband who would have drowned in malpractice insurance if not for a thieving wife, plus children and their bills, it's safe to say that her income was not enough to support her family, let alone build this. We know she got her cut from Paris club, which is a crime and still our money. She stole from Nigeria, and even into the last 2 weeks of Gej administration. This edifice is as a result of the all the money missing under her watch and the $2B she stole in March of this year. This building is a Nigeria's building built with Nigeria's money, and will remain Fg's property. All you Ibos will do is wail, and get tired. No lesbo and no sugar mama! baralatie: ahh! let's go 1.she works in the world bank with two doctoral degrees.so let us calculate her start up salary first. 2.she rose up to be a director in world bank.hence facilities like benefits add to her salary.(she no go pay house rent) 3.as at the time she was imported to Nigeria. She was paid $400000 per month.(see money) 4.now her loving husband is a medical doctor. GUESS THE HOSPITAL HE IS WORKING AND THE PAY PACKAGE THEY ENJOY( between $1-2.5m per year) makes you see the reasons why NIGERIAN DOCTORS WILL KILL TO ENTER A GET A US FED. HOSPITAL JOB WITH TIME ON THEIR HANDS 5.and guess again her baby boy is Also a WORKING DOCTOR ABROAD A WEKL PAYING CLINIC(DAMN).
WAIT FOR IT
NOW IMAGINE WHAT A WOMAN LIKE NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA WORLD REKNOWN ECONOMIST WILL DO WITH $1m in investment market. what do you think is the turnover of that money after 10 years.
Guy! if you ever meet an ngozi okonji iweala as a girlfriend in this Nigeria

@Op, you are Ibo right? So you have no right to drag land with anyone in Lagos, you should just be renting only. You know some communities in the SS have law put in place against selling lands to you, and Yoruba will soon follow suit. The omoniles all over Lagos need to declare an all out war on any Ibo trying to own land from now on.
No Yoruba should join you in this, and Ambode shouldn't even pay your petition any attention.
I know some foolish Yoruba bastardds are going to be falling over themselves to hop on your charade, not knowing that you see this as a way to get one over on your "enemies"(Yoruba) and you won't hesitate to stick one to them, as you see it as warfare.
The entire Lekki/Ajah axis is ijebu land, and our traditional rulers and families own lands not govt. Aliens like Ibos should be given land leases for 15 years and renew after every 5 years. |

Hehehe! You are economic refugees and the only thing you dominate are in your dreams. Iykopee: In Igbo land the Igbos dominate. Outside Igbo land, they are competing favourably with indigenes of that particular area. This can not be said of the Yorubas and this is what i call survival spirit. The Igbos aren't ordinary humans cos they are known to survive even in worst human conditions. There's braveness and resilience in them coupled with their quest to explore unexplored parts of the earth. I'm an Igbo man from Rivers state and i pray to God to make me an Igbo man in my next world. |
