Politics / Fashola And Tinubu Exposed By PDP by X21: 5:37pm On Feb 09, 2015
Jimi Disu has done it again! In a no-holds-barred interview with a leading PDP member in Lagos State, revelations came streaming out like a can of worms when the cookie jar was opened by Tunde Gbadamosi, an ex PDP Gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State. Resisting all attempts by Jimi Disu, the ace interviewer, to restrain him from delivering the exposé, Tunde, a member of the illustrious Gbadamosi family of Ikorodu, north Lagos, Tunde exposed the dirty deals being perpetrated by Governor Raji Fashola of Lagos State while dancing to the well-composed tunes directed and orchestrated by the impresario, the Commander Extraordinaire, Ahmed Tinubu, ex Governor of Lagos State. While stressing that he, Tunde, like Jimi Disu, is a true Lagosian who has no other state to run to, he reeled out a long list of perfidious and preposterous, if not criminal, acts of commission by the lead and accompanying performers. This was a thunderous world news interview conducted by ace media personality, Jimi Disu, who has now achieved the accolade of probably the best media interviewer in Nigeria.

Jimi Disu
You would recall that your favourite blog site, Lagos Blog, rolled out the drums last week and apprised you of how Jimi Disu tore Lai Mohammed into pieces on his Discourse. We feel obliged to you, our readers, who missed the interview, to have an in-depth knowledge of what transpired on the show and we hereby avail you with a blow-by-blow account of the interview:

According to Tunde Gbadamosi –

•Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is the Actual Governor of Lagos State while Raji Fashola is the Elected Governor and any foreseeable next APC Governor will continue in a similar derisory combination.
•Tinubu’s pension exceeds the salary of the Elected Governor.
•By initiating and signing Retired Governor’s Pension and Emoluments, Tinubu deliberately excluded ex Governors Johnson, Jakande, Otedola, Lawal, and all other ex Governors by a condition precedent that the ex Governor must have served for two terms.
•On his master’s instruction, Fashola budgeted for and bought two Range Rover bulletproof Jeeps at N300m each and, of course, he uses one while Tinubu uses the other one.
•In order to continuously cosy up to and pay for the support of the media in Lagos, apart from regularly awarding the journalists large tracts of land in Lekki and the environs, Fashola, as directed by Tinubu and strategised by Dele Alake, budgeted N29 billion for Lagos State Ministry of Information alone against N17 billion budgeted by Nigeria’s PDP federal government for the whole of the federal Ministry of Information.
•Again, while the Federal Government budgeted only N22 billion for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Governor Fashola budgeted N77 billion as the personal allowance for the Governor of Lagos State, to share with Tinubu for oncoming election expenses.
•Ex Governor Tinubu arranged with Justice Oyewole to try Bode George, the ex PDP Lagos Boss, over a Nigerian Ports Authority Federal so-called corruption allegation whereby Chief Bode George, a political opponent of Tinubu, was sentenced to and served two years in Kirikiri Prison in Lagos. The Nigerian Supreme Court later found Chief Bode George not guilty of the Oyewole interdiction because the indictment did not exist in the Nigerian law books.
•To compensate Justice Oyewole for the successful hatchet job, he, Oyewole, was invited by Tinubu’s lackey, the Islamic Jihadists, Raufu Aregbesola, now Governor of Osun State, Southwest Nigeria, to become the Chief Judge of Osun State. The united and embittered judges of Osun State were unanimous in their rejection of this young conspiratorial judge to come and lord it over the respectable judges in Osun State. That resistance was backed up by the Nigerian Judicial Commission and this complicit evil machination by Tinubu and Aregbesola cannot fly.
•The word of Tinubu in the political handling of the APC party in Lagos is law as he actually handpicks every aspirant, candidate, nominee or sponsored officials from ward delegates and executive and local government executive and chairman to councillors, council supervisors, Council Chairmen, State Assembly members, House of Reps members, Senators, Commissioners, Special Assistants, slot for Mecca and Jerusalem, all contracts awards, allocation of housing estates nay selection of Baales and Obas are all his exclusive domain and virtually solely within his purview.
•With the guidance of his lord and master, Fashola has awarded over 3,000 hectares of Lagos land in Eti-Osa to ARM, Tinubu’s company as part investment finance for the Lekki Toll Gate venture.
•Acting on orders, Fashola has guaranteed over $300 million loan to the Lekki Toll Gate project.
•Fashola completed the construction of a one-kilometre bridge over a serene 10-metres deep lagoon which Tinubu committed Lagos State to for a whopping sum of N29 billion while the Republic of China has just built the longest bridge in the world, over raging seas, ocean and constantly stormy environment, at the cost of N1 billion per kilometre.
•As usual, Tinubu has gathered his ex Mobil bosses to standby for the next queue—allocation of housing estate apartments to be built in Ilubirin foreshore on Federal Government land. Lagosian Junior Minister for Defence, Senator Ambassador Musiliu Obanikoro by virtue of his position as MOD boss, recently visited the site and was almost attacked by Governor Tinubu’s thugs and would have been dealt with but for the soldiers in his entourage.
•Ex Governor Tinubu and mutatis mutandis, his successor-in-terror, Raji Fashola, have turned Lagos into a thugs paradise by use of Area Boys wherever they feel threatened by a civil protest as exemplified by Governor Fashola during the peaceful Lekki Toll Gate protest when Fashola led the thugs while posing with his N300 million Range Rover.
•The polytechnic belonging to Lagos State has been shut and closed down, and, as many other Lagos State properties (Ikeja Shoprite, Ikoyi Local Government, etc), the LASPOTECH site has been bought over by Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and, along with his crony and strategist, Dele Alake, the grounds are now occupied by TV Continental, Radio Continental and the Nation Newspaper, all properties of Asiwaju.
•Lagos State University is on the verge of closing down because the lecturers are about to proceed on a seemingly terminal strike because there are only 1,000 students in the university as against the usually 20,000 strong student population. This total collapse of the student population has been occasioned by the humongous, indecent and wicked increase in school fees on the instruction of Tinubu to Fashola. Tinubu has been heard to instruct Fashola thus: “Don’t take any nonsense. Sack those doctors”. Tinubu and Fashola (now owner of Randle family’s Eagle Club, Surulere land) are poised to share the 20, 000 hectares university land between them.

Family / Re: Profound Statements That Will Surely Change The Way You Think by X21: 8:17am On Oct 02, 2014
eleojo23: Our lives are shaped by what we think about in our quiet moments. I wish to share with you some profound statements that will help you shape your thinking aright.
These statements made by different people at different times were compiled by Marc Chernoff.
For those who may want to ask for summary, I'm sorry there is no other way to summarize these. Just spare a few minutes to read and you may just stumble upon something that will change your life.

In order to make this thread interesting, after reading the post, feel free to pick any statement(s) that really touched you and explain what you understood from it. Here we go...

1.No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.
2. You cannot change what you refuse to confront.
3. Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
4. Don’t think of cost. Think of value.
5. Sometimes you need to distance yourself to see things clearly.
6. Too many people buy things they don’t need with money they don’t have to impress people they don’t know.
7. If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a space in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay.
8. Making one person smile can change the world – maybe not the whole world, but their world.
9. Saying someone is ugly doesn’t make you any prettier.
10. The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too.
11. It’s better to be alone than to be in bad company.
12. As we grow up, we realize it becomes less important to have more friends and more important to have real ones.
13. Making a hundred friends is not a miracle. The miracle is to make a single friend who will stand by your side even when hundreds are against you.
14. Giving up doesn’t always mean you’re weak, sometimes it means you are strong enough and smart enough to let go and move on.
15. Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Mother Teresea, Albert Einstein, etc…
16. If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.
17. Don’t choose the one who is beautiful to the world; choose the one who makes your world beautiful.
18. Falling in love is not a choice. To stay in love is.
19. True love isn’t about being inseparable; it’s about two people being true to each other even when they are separated.
20. While you’re busy looking for the perfect person, you’ll probably miss the imperfect person who could make you perfectly happy.
21. Never do something permanently foolish just because you are temporarily upset.
22. You can learn great things from your mistakes when you aren’t busy denying them.
23. In life, if you don’t risk anything, you risk everything.
24. When you stop chasing the wrong things you give the right things a chance to catch you.
25. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come.
26. There isn’t anything noble about being superior to another person. True nobility is in being superior to the person you once were.
27. Trying to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.
28. You will never become who you want to be if you keep blaming everyone else for who you are now.
29. Sometimes people don’t notice the things others do for them until they stop doing them.
30. Don’t listen to what people say, watch what they do.
31. Being alone does not mean you are lonely, and being lonely does not mean you are alone.
32. Love is not about sex, going on fancy dates, or showing off. It’s about being with a person who makes you happy in a way nobody else can.
33. Anyone can come into your life and say how much they love you. It takes someone really special to stay in your life and show how much they love you.
34. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy clothes. Don’t save it for a special occasion; today is special.
35. Love and appreciate your parents. We are often so busy growing up, we forget they are also growing old.
36. When you have to start compromising yourself and your morals for the people around you, it’s probably time to change the people around you.
37. Learn to love yourself first, instead of loving the idea of other people loving you.
38. When someone tells you, “You’ve changed,” it might simply be because you’ve stopped living your life their way.
39. Someone else doesn’t have to be wrong for you to be right.
40. Be happy. Be yourself. If others don’t like it, then let them be. Happiness is a choice. Life isn’t about pleasing everybody.
41. When you’re up, your friends know who you are. When you’re down, you know who your friends are.
42. Don’t look for someone who will solve all your problems; look for someone who will face them with you.
43. If you expect the world to be fair with you because you are fair, you’re fooling yourself. That’s like expecting the lion not to eat you because you didn’t eat him.
45. No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.
46. The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.
47. Many people are so poor because the only thing they have is money.
48. Learn to appreciate the things you have before time forces you appreciate the things you once had.
50. When you choose to see the good in others, you end up finding the good in yourself.
51. You don’t drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
52. It’s better to know and be disappointed than to never know and always wonder.
53. There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but have to learn, and people we can’t live without but have to let go.
54. Happiness is not determined by what’s happening around you, but rather what’s happening inside you. Most people depend on others to gain happiness, but the truth is, it always comes from within.
55. If you tell the truth, it becomes a part of your past. If you lie, it becomes a part of your future.
56. You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one.
57. Things turn out best for people who make the best out of the way things turn out.
58. If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about.
59. Choose a career you love and you will never work a day in your life.
60. I do not fear failure rather I fear succeeding at my wildest dream only to find out that it did not really matter.

Which of them resonates with you?

the car type, your location and personality are some information that will enable you take decision.
car hire business is triving if you attach them to airports, big hotels etc but not all cars are suitable for this purpose
in some state you can change your car colour to commercial taxi if your personality can manage that business but in lagos they have to be brand new to be taxis.

pros & cons is as in every transport business. there is inherent risk of LASG ban enforcement.

Mali definitely need to change something here, Samassa is looking isolated on his own up front, and I think that Maiga would be having much more luck in a central position. At this rate, Carteron will be hoping that his side can get to the break without conceding again
