Viruses: How many heaters do you put on and an average of how many hours a day?
Do you also use fridge, electric kettle, microwave oven and boiler? Only 1 heater is on at once. Not more than 1hr 30mins daily. No electric kettle, no microwave. There is a fridge n a boiler present. The boiler is regulated. Auto on n off. |

kode12: What's the size of the property, £75/month sounds cheap if it's all electric. I'm seeing some people quoting bills of £250+/month for an average sized house. Cumulatively, not up to 1hr 30mins daily. Can't remember the measurement but it's just a regular 2 bed apartment |

kode12: House, people with all electric houses, how is your billing like? I'm looking at a property that uses electricity for heating with a storage heater. EPC rating is C, with no reasonable options to upgrade it. This is similar to mine. All Electric, same EPC rating. Spend between £70-75 per month. Prepaid meter. 2 bedroom. Just myself and my partner |

Glolite: Advise needed please. Asking for my brother who is about to travel. Should he convert ALL the money in his account to pounds and travel along with the money , or open a dorm account and leave them there. How can one go about that money part please? Lastly, can I pay the remaining part of his school fees using form A when he has gone? Whatever he is doing, let him not make the mistake of traveling with dollars from nigeria. The exchange rate for usd to pounds is terrible. Yes you can pay his remaining school fees with form A. It's cheaper for you. |

Joyousgem: If you are between the ages of 18 - 40, first time home buyer and resident in the UK, you can consider opening a Lifetime ISA. It allows you to save up up to £4000 a year, the government tops it up with a bonus of £1000. For couples, you can have a LISA each.
I find that having a separate savings account helps with a standing order in place to transfer a fixed amount from salary account to savings account. I went to Lloyd's bank to open an account last week. The person who attended to me said the government had stopped the ISA thing. Please kindly confirm if this is true |

Hello everyone. We are trying to get a 2 bedroom apartment in Rochdale. However most are unfurnished. Kindly offer help on where we could get cheaper furniture such as bed, mattress and electronics like fridge and washing machine. I'm due to arrive on a dependent spousal visa and only wifey is going round looking for the houses. Also for someone with USD notes in UK, how can one repatriate that back to Naija. The exchange rates at the post office and banks are terrible. |

CodeTemplar: This is revenue, though it averages N106B per month. The prospect of a good profit margin cannot be argued against, truth is they end up doing a lot of things they shouldn't be doing by themselves and that opens the door for adjustment to recurrent expenses.
Imagine the diesel they burn to keep each mast alive then multiple that by the number of mast they every 3km in cities and every 5km along busy highways. That's huge expenses incurred due to a weak power supply system in the country. Telcos this size clearly isn't for start ups or experimenting entrepreneurs. Not all mast are owned by them. sometimes they act as tenants on a particular mast belonging to an individual, they pay maybe monthly or yearly. the mast vendor or owner is responsible for fueling and maintenance of the power system. This is why you can see multiple communication gadgets belonging to different telcos on a single mast. |
