Instead of waiting for a dip or retracement to buy/long and instead of FOMOing at the top, you sell/short the top then buy back cheaper on retracement and keep the difference/profit.

The stop should be higher than limit if you are selling so if you want to sell your coin if it reaches $40 or goes below $22, you put $40 as price, $22 as stop and $18-$21 as limit.

If you are shorting all in with 1x leverage with usdt as collateral, the coin will have to pump 100% to liquidate you.

If however you are doing inverse perpetuals and you use the same coin as collateral, then you won't be liquidated because the value of your collateral will increase as the pump increases.

That's how maths is.

Long 0.5 to 3.0 : 2.5/0.5 = 5x
Short 3.0 to 0.5 : 2.5/3.0 = 0.833x

It's a ratio of distance travelled from starting point.

Activation price is optional.

Limit price is your selling price with profit.

If you bought btc at 26000 and want to sell at 10% profit, then you put 28600 as sell limit price.

You can then set your trailing delta from 0.1% to 9% so that worst case, you bag 1% profit.

Trailing will be activated once price reaches 28600 since activation price isn't set in this example.

If price reaches 28600 and continues to 32000 without retracing, the minimum price it will sell is 29120 with 9% trailing, 30400 with 5% trailing, 31680 with 1% trailing or 31968 with 0.1% trailing.

Your choice of 5% trailing leaves too much room for slippage btw.

To be effective, your trailing percentage must be less than the profit percentage. That means if you want 5% trailing, activation price should be above 6% at least.

In the example below, buying price is 2400, activation price is 3000(25%) , trailing is 5% meaning you will secure at least 15-20% profit if prices retraces immediately after it's triggered, or more if it keeps rising.

If you are triggering at 2.5% profit, then the trailing should 0.1-2% max, though 25% gap (0.6% trailing) is recommended.

However, I think Binance has got issues as I dey look am. I experimented with OCO some days ago, and it made me lose some money which shouldn't have happened...I doubt even if stop limit will do now...Binance Binance...you may need to tell them on their Twitter support.

For OCO sells, the stop must be higher than limit under stop limit.

In the picture below, if btc gets to 27800 first before 27050, it will sell my bag at 27800 and cancel the 27k stop limit order.

If BTC falls instead and triggers the 27050 activation price, it will sell my bag at 27000 instead.

Provided I bought my bag below 27000, I will be in profit either way.

Your currency can never remain strong consistently if your economy is more than 80% driven by imports and not exports....law of demand and supply will always take its place anyday anytime...this is common sense.......all these moves by CBN can only work temporarily , then sooner or later we keep going back to square-one as usual , if not worse....do not be surprised..the news will first of all make the dollar price go down , and in your mind you will think that all is now well..you will even praise CBN sef.....then weeks later , you see price go back to its previous high price again and then the blame game continues....and they start cursing CBN and the president..

Some are being strategic by shorting instead of hodling.

You buy at N880, sell at N740, rebuy at N630 and resell at N880-N1000+

Better than hodling blindly or capitulating completely.
