So you have been entering different mosques and asking them the tribe of the imams leading prayers?
I know it will be very difficult for you to believe the fact that in a mosque everyone is the same, regardless of your tribe, colour, and status in the society. Everyone pray side by side. Anyone can lead prayer as young as ten and even the president of the world will stay behind him. I guess you were born and breed to hate anything or anyone that is not you, your tribe or your religion. It must be hard being you, a very spiteful morafuka! God will deliver you ehn.

No, because you are a very dumb islamophob. At least if you are gonna spread falsehood just to make yourself happy, you should create a new thread and see how people like yourself will troop in.

You are just in this thread to cause trouble.

We need to learn how to live with one another peacefully. It has become imperative for us to understand that Muslims do not take easy any comment they perceive disrespectful against their religion. We Christians are Christ like and as such, we take things a bit easy.

I am sure Seun must have thought this over and over before he decided to put the Oath.

A case study of the RCCG early morning preacher and the guy that urinated near a mosque would help you understand better.
Have you seen how demented fools enter Muslims thread with insults and curses. Abi you think Muslims don't have feelings too. Despite the ban Christians still manage to enter the thread and cause trouble.
On the matter of that RCCG preacher, you guys made it about religion even though the people in the entire neighborhood knows it is not. She has been preaching for years and nothing happened.

Hope you are good with script writing?

The predefined email has to look very real and convincing enough. Thats the only way he could take the bait.

To give you an idea, since your friend is unemployed, he could send a predefined email, under the guise of some relative who wants to oblige to his monetary request.

Just imaging your uncle whom you've been pleading with to help you financially. What kind of email would he send?

Be sure not to send an email requesting just for a bank account details. That may be too obvious for a bait.
Okay, we will see what we can do with this info. Thanks again.
Phones › Re: Nairalanders Please How Can My Friend Trace and Retrieve His Missing Phone? by Xbee007(op): 5:28pm On Jun 16, 2017
Tomjazzy2:
Obviously, the phone was stolen by a rookie, hence the continued availability of your friend's number.

From the post, it's safe to assume that no anti-theft app was installed on the phone before it was stolen. If this is true, then sadly, there is little or nothing your friend could do, really.

Okay, since the suspect still reads your friend's email (that could only mean he is hoping to impersonate or steal some vital information), why not set him up by sending a predefined email, requesting that a bank account number be forwarded so that money could be paid into it.

If my assumptions are right, I expect the suspect to forward an account number to the email. Once he does so, you can easily track him.
Thanks for your insightful opinion.
Phones › Nairalanders Please How Can My Friend Trace and Retrieve His Missing Phone? by Xbee007(op):
Hello Nairalanders, please I need your intelligent opinion on this pressing matter.
My friend's phone was stolen a week before passing out of NYSC at a particular function organized by a certain group.
(As I narrate the event that took place before the phone went missing, I will not divulge certain info that can tip the thief off. He or she may be on NL too, although I seriously doubt it.)

On the faithful day this phone was stolen, the battery was almost dead so he decided to charge it @this public function. Ordinarily, no security conscious individual would have made that mistake but for the nature of the place the event took place. He decided to plug the phone along with other phones. Hours later, he came down to check his phone and it was about 70% charged. He decided to leave for few minutes. Meanwhile, unknown to him a thief was watching and had discovered the phone he checked among the numerous phones being charged.
While my friend left that area, the thief unplugged the phone and plugged a power bank. People seated around the area didn't suspect any fowl play.
Moments later, my friend came back to unplug his phone but the phone was missing save the charger and an unknown power bank whose owner is no where to be found.
The MC of the event raised alarm and pleaded with the thief to return the phone but it was a futile attempt.
My friend came back from NYSC phoneless and broke. He has been going for interviews where they request for emails and phone number. Now he has to borrow phone to make and receive calls. He goes to cafés paying money just to check important emails. In short, life has never been the same again. Devastated, he resigned to fate and hoped for a miracle.
So one night we decided to call the number, it rang and someone picked ( I have the record of the conversation on my phone). The person claimed someone kept the phone in the person's possession. The person mentioned the name of the individual that kept the phone in our receiver's possession. I asked for the surname of the person but the receiver refused to tell us. Then I discovered that I was really speaking with the thief that stole my friend's phone. The thief had been using the phone days after stealing my friend's phone. Picking his calls, receiving his messages and emails. Till today the phone and the sim is still active.
Any time my friend checks his emails, he realises that someone has checked it before. So I told him not to tamper with the password of his email hoping that someday we can trace the phone using his gmail. We have searched play store and Google on how to trace the phone but all the attempt has been unsuccessful.

Nairalanders, pls I want to ask for your opinion on ways we can track the phone.
Note:
*The two sims in the phone are active.
*The thief only switch on the phone twice or thrice a week mostly in the night.
*The phone has not been wiped because the thief still have the access to my friend's email.
*I have a recorded conversation between me and the thief.

With this foregoing, please suggest opinions on how we can trace and retrieve this phone.
Thanks in anticipation for your intelligent replies.

It is really unhealthy and not worth the gains. I strongly believe that we all can live together peacefully in one country. Why can't the same apply here.
NL Rule 2 & 3 already discourage people from denigrating each other's tribe. And I can assure you the level of enforcement is quiet commendable although there is still room for improvement. I have seen accounts banned and some deleted because of tribalist comments.
This newly learnt bad habit is not unconnected to the 2015 election. Because of the anonymity people enjoy here they feel they can say every nasty things that cross their minds to their fellow humans. Things they can't do on Twitter and Facebook for obvious reasons they do it here afterall the worse that could happen to them is for their account to get deleted and they can create new one under 2minutes.
When I joined this forum in 2013, I joined because it is educative, informative and offer an escape from stressful classes. You open posts and read funny comments that lighten your mood and make you happy while still learning and meeting intellectuals from all walks of life.
Now the reverse is the case, tribalist, racist and islamophobic rhetoric is now the order of the day and the mods are helpless because there is little or nothing they could do about it. It is hard being a Nairalander this days and it is harder being a Muslim on NL. You read some posts some days and your mind get spoil

5 persons were killed in the incident.

3 bank security men were killed the man with the money whom they followed to the bank and one of the robber.
Not true!
According to Channels Tv, the attackers numbering up to 12 killed 3 people in an attack that lasted 50 minutes.
Here is the link: https://www.nairaland.com/3644495/robbers-attack-zenith-bank-owerri

Fact and Reality: The attacker are just 4, the attack lasted less than 3 minutes and only one person died, the robber.
If you read the comments on that link carefullly, you will read eyewitnesses account of the actual event.
Channelstv claimed an unnamed source in their report which lacks truth and substance.

Yes, he should have maintained cover. He was in position to take out most of the robbers. However, he was alone and his mind probably told him to bail out and pick cover. Using suppressive firing when alone against over 4 armed robbers is a bad idea.
Who will cover him when he's about to change his ammo? He could have observed well before firing the first shot.

Those guys that went for the money should have been his first target. Calculating well, you can always out 3 guys fast unaware with a ak47.

Before those guys in the car react, get yourself ready. You're in cover already. They'll either abandon mission with 3 men dead. (Remember 3 police were killed, if he has killed those 3 first, the other officers would have engaged the driver and their leader)

Dad is the police and he will always say calculation isn't in mathematics alone. Forget about your feeling if you'll die, you'll die so try your best to survive by doing the right thing.
It was only the armed robber that died in that incident. The policeman escaped with injuries.
