Good morning, I plan studying msc accounting because I already have a bsc accounting so I just want to follow a single pattern, so that’s why I will be going for Msc accounting

You can study accounting in almost all European countries and get employed

Just base your search on cheap countries like Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands

Quick advice go to LinkedIn or indeed and search for jobs in the country that you want to go to, you will see for yourself if there are jobs there or not

For example go to LinkedIn and search for front end developer jobs in Norway, will be see the number of jobs that have been added in the past 24 hours, past week and past month.

Then search your qualifications, like if you're an engineer, search for jobs in engineering in Norway and judge if they're jobs there

Spoiler, European countries have several new jobs vacancies everyday

Good day fellow travelanders...
For sometime now migrating has being on the lips of various young Nigerians, the reason for opening this thread is to know from travelers with experience or prospective travelers who wish to migrate via the student route which is one of the most expensive but easiest route....yes Nigeria will be good someday but before then let those who wants to leave to leave..I am in my final year and I wis to travel through masters and I need life experience suggestions because it will go a long way towards helping me make good decisions.. A man who ask for advice and ideas never gets lost...

Person wey ask for directions no day miss road

Germany is a good country with free tuition, Czech Republic is a good country with free tuition if you will study in their language. You can go there, learn their language and then study for free. There's a university in turkey, that the tuition is free. If you get admission, you are on automatic scholarship, but you can also apply for scholarships that will take care of your upkeep.
Finland is a good country with free tuition, there is hungaricim stipendiim in Hungary that the government sponsors you to study there, they take care of all your expenses.

Going abroad can be overwhelming but plan and be open minded

What course are you planning to study?

Career / Re: What Kind Of Skill Can A Mechanical Engineer Learn? by Xeeex: 3:01pm On Sep 07, 2020
Thermodynamics:
Hello nairalanders, since I graduated, I've not been able to secure a job, I've applied and applied and applied and applied, all my efforts so far to secure a job have proved abortive. I'm tired of seating at home and want to learn a skill that can put food on my table but I don't want to learn anything that'll not boost my CV.

For instance, if I had a degree in computer engineering/science i can comfortably go ahead to learn laptop or phone repairs since I know that if I secure a job tomorrow, I can easily apply my skill in where ever I'll be working.

If I had a degree in electrical engineering, I can easily pair up with an electrician and have a more practical area in my field while putting food on my table.

As for me, I have a degree in mechanical engineering

So I ask, what kind of skill can a mechanical engineer learn that can give a reasonable income and at the same time add some value to his CV.

I'm not a fan of "drop your certificate and hustle like a dropout" I have a hustler mindset, but I don't want to do it rashly, i don't want to do something out of my area of specialization.

Generator repairs seem to be somewhat okay, but it's a skill that can only be used in Africa ( Where light is an issue) who knows where one will find himself tomorrow.

Besides Nigeria may start having steady power supply sometime in the future.

Oga, I see that you're a mechanical engineer but it seems like you are limiting yourself with the options you are giving yourself.

I'm also an undergraduate mechanical engineer but I'm learning web development. I know it doesn't relate to engineering but the goal is to have skills that will open doors. If mechanical engineering doesn't open doors, web development will open doors.

As a mechanical engineer, I advise you to learn solid works and other 3d simulation software in engineering.

I saw your other thread about choosing a school in Germany, lol, Google can solve that if you're ready. And start learning German
Travel / Re: Is Relocating To Hungary Worth It? by Xeeex: 2:51pm On Sep 07, 2020

Is Hungary advisable for a guy man to relocate to and hustle. Hustling includes arranging for Permanent Residence whichever way. A friend of mine has been invited to the country and is considering it but skeptical of the unknown as Hungary doesn't sound like a common hustle destination for Nigerians.

Anyone who has useful information/advice/rebuke or insults should please feel free to render them here.

Just by the way, I'm frankly asking for a friend not myself.

Oga, Hungary is an European country in the European Union. If you go there, you can visit other European countries like France and Germany visa free.

If you stay and work in Hungary and getting new skills you will survive in Hungary while you learn skills so that you can move to other countries if you want to.

Hungary is a good country with many opportunities. Hungary offers you what Nigeria can never offer you.

Choose wisely

manychallenges:
I ain't looking for any sympathy, I just thought maybe this is a place I can actually pour my heart out to.

At 27:
.. Still in higher institution, I still have 3 more years to graduate
.. Can't boost of a skill
.. Not in relationship or have any girl I can call mine
.. Battling with an infection, not STDs, for like a decade but no money to go for proper treatment, I ain't asking anyone for money here
.. Papa already retired and Mama still in service
.. Still ask Mama for money for haircut
.. Really pitying these amazing parents but its also a pity I haven't found myself yet
.. At this age, I still see myself as a teenager, I mean I have seen many men my age doing quite well even having their own wives and children but why am I different?
.. Lazy? I ain't lazy, I have worked at some places before I got admission but the money was just a peanuts. I stays in small town
.. Mama is gonna be on a mountain now praying so hard, yeah, she's a prayer warrior but she don't know one shi.t spirit have been pinning me down in my sleep for years!
.. You see am so bleeped
.. Giving up? Nah, I ain't

This ain't the time to be self pitying. Better rise up, blame yourself and use that energy to turn your life around.

The sad thing about being a man is that you are on your own, like it or not. Nobody is coming to save you. A rich man can meet a broke girl and fix her problems but a man is alone.

You said you don't have skills, what are you doing to change that?

You don't have a girlfriend? What are you doing to better your life and change that?

It's time you declare total war on yourself, set new goals and push yourself to achieve.

There are people who rose from lower level

Peace

dasparrow:

Let me ask you this. How do you intend to get a business visa or work permit that will allow you to do business in Turkey or Canada especially with the small amount of money you have? Once you change that money into U.S Dollars, it won't go a long way. Remember, unless you have family in Canada or Turkey that will be willing to accommodate and feed you for free, you will have to pay rent, pay for utilities like electricity, water, etc. and buy groceries.

Cost of living is higher in these countries you intend migrating to because you are coming from a country with a weak currency. So you will need a lot of Naira changed into U S Dollars to get a significant amount of money to get anything significant done overseas.

Another thing you need to do is change your mindset about abroad. These white, asian and arab nations many Nigerians and Africans flock to were not created with the African in mind. The truth of the matter is, the indigenous citizens of these nations don't want a bunch of black Africans migrating to their countries in search of the proverbial "greener pastures."

Our world is becoming more and more tribal, xenophobic and racially hostile. Few months ago, Africans were being thrown out on the streets in China despite the fact that many had paid for their accomodations. In Beirut were there was recently a bomb blast, Africans who were legally working in Beirut before the blast were also thrown out on the streets. There is a video about that on YouTube.

In Saudi Arabia, Black Africans are being flogged like cattle and sheep due to not having valid work permit or residency permit documents.

In America, white police officers have made it their life long goals to kill black people. A young black woman by the name of Breonna Taylor who is an emergency medical technician - you know, the people who work in the ambulance car saving the lives of the sick and transporting them to the hospital - was at home in her bed fast asleep when white police officers broke into her home and shot her dead in her bed while she lay asleep.

In North Cyprus, a lot of Nigerian and African university students have been murdered or mysteriously gone missing. The law enforcement authorities in that country are doing absolutely nothing to solve this murders or disappearances because after all, the people who are being killed are Black Africans.

I don't know why you and many others like you are only dreaming of going to non-African countries to go and hustle? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself how the white, asian and arab citizens feel about black Africans infiltrating their societies in search of "greener pastures" that may not even exist?

Go and see what is happening to Black Africans in Libya. They torture them with such brutality that even their animals don't get treated that way.

You people keep running away from Africa. Who do you people think are going to fix Africa for you? You keep flocking to countries where our people are barely tolerated by the indigenes of these nations. Do you honestly think that these nations built their countries for Black Africans to come and enjoy? Think about it!

We Africans don't want to fix our nations to become the envy of the world. We continue to vote in and recycle incompetent leaders who have no clue on how to move our country forward.

The money you have is sufficient to start a business in an African country somewhere. If you are not considering African countries, then I strongly suggest you remain in Nigeria because neither Turkey not Canada will grant you a business permit with the current amount of money you have. That is just the gospel truth. First world countries are making it extremely difficult for Nigerians to get common tourist visa how much more business permit/visa.

An increasing number of Black people from America, Europe, the Caribbean, etc who descended from enslaved Africans are wishing to move to Africa to start businesses and live in an African country to escape all the racial hostility in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia while media brain washed Africans like yourself are desperately looking to leave Africa to become enslaved in Europe, north America, the middle East and Asia. Oh what the irony!

You have been warned. He who has ears, let him hear. Shalom!

My Gee, all this yans na Okoto meow meow

Stop killing people's dreams. There are blacks that immigrated properly even to Saudi Arabia and they are doing well there. The problem is not leaving the country, the problem is leaving illegally.

You can't tell me that a PhD holder from Nigeria, got a job in Saudi Arabia, he went and they capture him and put him in a camp just because he is black. Those in the camps got it for themselves.

The new Nigerian born justice in Canada is not an illegal immigrant! He migrated legally and now he is holding a big post that he would have never reached if he remained in Nigeria.

Everyone has his own life and choice but if you can't encourage people's dreams, don't discourage them. Keep quiet

What I know about turkey is that it's a good place to study if you know what you're doing. You can use it as a stepping stone to your dream country.

I think universities charge tuition fees in turkey but there is a certain private university called Koc University that offers free education. If you get admission there you just got an automatic scholarship because the tuition is free. After that you can also apply for scholarships that will take care of your upkeep. If you get the scholarship then visa won't be a problem.

Universities offer the study abroad semester where you can go and study in a university abroad for one semester. You can use the opportunity to check out your dream country. If it's turkey then you'll use the opportunity to travel small.

Don't migrate if you won't do it properly. What is worth doing is worth doing well.

Don't tell me that they don't like blacks. I know that a black man somewhere in the country is holding a very big position and is living his best life.
