My trip to Deutschland !!

I left ouse for airport some minutes past 5pm nd got to d around 6:30pm. I didn't have any problem with the immigrations and all. I sort them with 3k naira nd they did not even search my luggage at all. They only asked if I have any liquid inside them nd i said no. Na so dem free me. #Chaii..if to say i knw i for don carry palm oil.

Turkish airline staff checked my passport nd asked for my boarding pass bcoz i already checked in online. He weighed my 2 bags at once nd both weighed 50kg. He told me to removed 4 kg nd add it to my hand luggage not knowing my hand luggage sef is 10kg. I removed a jacket and somethings sha both my 2 bags still weighed 48kg. D guy jes free me. I wasn't easy to turn my back at my family oo, i got to d departure's gate nd ran back to them like 4 times.

I got to another immigration check point where they asked for my passport nd all documents to proof that am a student. They stamped my passport nd asked if i have anything for them. Jes gave d woman 1k nd i commot. I got to my departure gate at around 9pm nd we were scheduled to board by 9:10pm and take off by 10:10pm but d flight didn't take off until 11:30pm. I vex small but wetin man go do.

My connecting flight frm Istanbul to Berlin sef don take off before i land for Istanbul. E pain me gann. All those Turkish staff jes dey play me up nd down. I didn't even knw what to do. I jes vex go para for one departure gate, na so d man tell me say dem don book me on a 12noon flight already. The guy printed another boarding pass for me sha. I con start to dey look for free wifi. I waka tire oo but i got one later sha. If u are flying Turkish airline nd ur stopover is 2hrs or more, jes try to locate STARBUCKS CAFE. I think d name of d wifi is WiSpotter.

Ooh boi, i felt like make i buy somethings at d airport. My eyes jes dey see lots of beautiful things but i jes bone them. I was hungry, i jes go meet d guy wey print another boarding pass for me say i dey hungry.. God bless that guy, d guy gimme meal ticket oo. I sharply go eat one correct meal for Food Court. Turkish airline try small oo i eat tire on board. Come see free beer .

All thanks to God, i arrived Berlin safely around 2pm. I didn't have any issue at Berlin airport. My Oga's frnd was there to pick me. We board a bus frm d airport to a train station. I must say this, Naija no fit, Naija no fit catch up with dis countries oo. Chaii, we dey suffer mehn.

One funny thing..as i dey inside d train, na so one oyinbo girl's phone ring oo, d ringtone na Wasiu Ayinde song.. I jes reason am say na one Yoruba boi go dey run her package.

Live and direct from Sewanstraße, Berlin. Alhamdulillah for my safe trip. I arrived Berlin Tegel airport around 2pm yesterday. Ooh, my eyes see wehn for Istanbul airport oo. I go update my experience later today.

Deutschland or lemme say Berlin is not that cold now. I dey enjoy d weather sha. Took a walk yesterday evening nd d weather jes be like say i dey inside one bank for naija..lol. Una sabi as banks AC dey blow nah, na so d weather be. I no even wear my jacket at all sef .

A big thanks to my chairman @Topeajis. Gonna chill here till October before going to Freiburg.

Ninthly, finding your way to your room by yourself from airport na die...I lost for road taya...if you get money, take cab or study and save the route on a map like google maps or Nokia maps before coming
tenthly and most importantly, omoh...German language knowledge is underrated oh.. See me na Garri and smoked fish I wan chop this night because I no no how to take go store go ask for even common bread..Una 2016, abeg learn the language oh..

A few students cannot be sidelined from student jobs na whilst others are allowed to work. If the govt doesn't want non-eu students to work then they will announce it on their assigned webpages.[/s]

The embassy do write remarks for the visas but there is an error in yours because with a student (national) visa type D employment is allowed.
written in the remark section of my visa is: BESCHÄFTIGUNG NUR GEM. $16 AUFENTHG FÜR 120 GANZE ODER 240 HALBE TAGE/JAHR UND STUDENT. NEBENTÄTIGKEIT

Greetings to my bosses in d house...please those who have collected their visas nd those who are already in Germany, I really need an urgent response about my question. On my visa, they wrote " ERWERBSTÄTIGKEIT NICHT GESTATTET " wc means " GAINFUL EMPLOYEMENT NOT PERMITTED ". Is anything like that on ur visas too? I think tourist or visit visa should have that kinda remarks not student visa. Shld I send a mail to d embassy to ask for clarification coz man must hustle ooo. Bro..that's not true. I applied to University of Duisburg-Essen and I was rejected. The reason for my rejection was because I submitted proficiency letter in English language in lieu of TOEFL/IELTS.

I mailed the school and they replied me that the examination committee made a decision not to accept proficiency letter again bcoz they have bad experience about proficiency letter. Note: the school accepted proficiency letter during 2014/15 admission nd they didn't accept it this year.

I got admitted to another school with a proficiency letter addressed to uni-assist. The school is not even under uni-assist oo. I sent my documents directly to the school with a proficiency letter addressed to uni-assist.

So, every school with different admission requirements. Germans are kinda strict with their requirements. If they ask for letter "A", jes give it to them. They might not accept any other document in lieu of it.

I hereby annouce to my e-family that I received the most anticipated mail this morning at exactly 7:03am to come for my visa ...I cldnt watch my Chelsea match yesterday and I was reading sport news on my phone when I receive the mail.

It took exactly 5weeks and 2 working days. I pray all others waiting for d mail will get it this week. The wait is not easy. Nd to all who are yet to do their interview, may Almighty Allah see u thru. I love this family alot and u guyz gave me all information I used up to this level. May God bless you all. Hi Madam... Calling Adeola won't solve this issue bcoz she will keep saying dsame thing every time u call. U need to go to her office if u are in lagos. I'm having same issue with her since Friday. She didn't allow me fill the form A on Friday sef but i'm a very stubborn guy nd i let her see reasons why she must do d transaction. I told her to keep my documents till Monday nd i went back there. I didn't let her rest nd she had to invite her boss to talk to me. After a long discussion with her boss, she was instructed to give me d form A.

Tho they are yet to debit my account till now nd am going there again tomorrow morning to question her. If u are stubborn, they will listen to u but if not they will keep telling u to get a school bill. I dnt even pray they have now coz euro is not smiling right now oo.

Ok so you believe i'm exaggerating right? fine. So let's put things into statistical perspective here, how many UK Master's grad are roaming the streets of Lagos without a job? and how many Graduates of German University do you see roaming around naija without jobs? I have many friends and cousins that studied in the Uk and are back home with no job, dem just dey for house.

Now i'm not trying to degrade the UK academic system, it's one of the best in the world, but the visa schemes they have for international students ain't encouraging. The German economy is MASSIVE, hence the need for skilled people, by not asking for tuition from foreign students they automatically attract the best students form every country! If you can scale through the admission process to get in you must be good: Thousands of people apply to study in Germany and they pick the best applicants. I wouldn't say the same for Uk, i know a friend from Lautech that finished with a third class and went straight to do a Masters in Uk, she grad with 2.1 there. That is never possible in Germany, you will read like if you wanna die!

About the health insurance stuff, the guy that said that above 29 years of age you pay 45 euros is very correct. Here is how it works, if you are less than 30 years of age you must use the state health insurance, it is called AOK, that one you pay 80 euros, but if you are 30 and above you are free to use private insurances, some are even as low as 25 euros. this is because they are private and the make their prices as competitive as possible. please dont argue about this one o, because you are obviously not in Germany, and I wouldn't argue about the Uk health system since i'm not there and knows nothing about it.
