Rewrite this, and in place of these poor souls, assume you were writing about Nigerians migrating to the UK.

Are the scales falling of your eyes yet?
What's your obsession with UK and Nigerian immigrants?
Okay, to appease you I will replace Nigeria with USA and TRUMP, I hope you can reason better now.

Then, it's your turn to replace. Help me replace Nigeria with UK in the cases of ELZAZZAKI, SOWORE, SARS,.
Be realistic, this is homeland security.

No sir. They have been detained illegally and it is a dangerous precedent because they were not found carrying arms or anything. One of them has even paid rent somewhere in Lagos. People move in large numbers inside planes. Or is it because these ones are poor?
No, they are under special interrogation. Their movement was suspicious, it is a normal process.
More importantly, they are from a region that is known for terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and all forms of criminality that are trending here and there. How can over a hundred men travel to were they don't know for the first time?
You can't rule out the possibility that some could running away from their crime as bandits. You never know. The task force did not just stop them, it was their rascality that made people to report them.
Again, allow the police to do their work, it is a matter of national security.
PoliticsRe: P&ID $9bn Judgement Debt: P&ID Gas Contract Was Not Approved, Says Aondooakaa by xpool(m): 7:34am On Aug 31, 2019
seunmsg:
Do you even understand the procedures stipulated in the public procurement act to be followed before awarding such a contract? The AGF as at when the contract was signed is telling you that the FEC did not approve the award of the contract and you are here shouting that we should go and pay. You want your country to pay some dubious Irish for a contract that wasn’t even validly awarded?

Even if you hate the president, must you hate your country? Every reasonable Nigerian should be concerned about the criminal intention behind the contract. The fact that our law was violated in the process leading to the award says it all. This is the time to get patriotic and drop the silly APC vs PDP mentality that has eaten deeply into the brains of some of you. Nigeria will not pay that silly company and their corrupt collaborators any $9billion.
The problem with you all is that you all are fond of chasing rats when your house is on fire. Was Nigeria not served in the case? Were we represented by our attorneys? All these comments from far and wide about the illegality of the contract should have been made relevant in the court process, not in the media.

Allow security agents to do their work. Nobody has said anything about crime.

PhonesRe: Are Cell Phones Becoming More Popular Than Toilets? The Data Says Yes! by xpool(m): 6:39am On Aug 30, 2019
Ravon:
The percentage of people with cell phone subscriptions is now higher than those using sanitation services. In 2000, only 12% of the global population had mobile phone subscriptions. In 2015, the rate is near 97% — a trend consistent across world regions.

These increases in cell phone users far exceed the number of people using at least basic sanitation services, which encompass improved sanitation facilities that are not shared with other households. In 2015, approximately 70% of the global population used at least basic sanitation services — a rate that only increased by 10 percentage points in the last 15 years

Access to sanitation services is critical to reducing diarrheal disease and can significantly lessen the adverse health impacts of other disorders responsible for death and disease among millions of children. For more information on global and regional trends on sanitation, see the 2018 Sustainable Development Goal Atlas.

PoliticsRe: What I Will Do If I’m Attacked Abroad – Amaechi by xpool(m): 4:55am On Aug 27, 2019
newsynews:
Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has stated that he’s not scared of traveling abroad due to threats that Nigerian politicians have been marked for attacks when they travel out of the country.

Recall that the former deputy senate president, senator Ike Ekweremadu, was attacked by some IPOB members in Germany few weeks ago. This has heightened cautiousness among politicians concerning their safety abroad.
In an interview with Legit.ng, Amaechi revealed that self-defense is enough to keep himself protected when he goes abroad.

”What do you mean by that? Scared of who? I’m going to Geneva, let them come. You know there is something called self-defence? Abegi!

”I will go to America or an place I have function to attend to. The solution is not in attacking the politicians”.

Speaking on the solution to Nigeria’s problem which he believes should be followed instead of attacking politicians, Amaechi stated that the Nigerian economy has to be changed from consumption to production economy.

”Nigeria economy is a consumption economy. We have to change it from a consumption economy to a productive economy”.

But, wait o, last last another four years don dey go be that. That is 8 years going and nothing to show for it. Na wao ooo.
Obasanjo was really better than all, he stabilized a country ravaged by long years of military dictatorship. Brought lots of social and economic infra structures, cleared foreign debts and stabilized the banking sectors. Like or hate him, he was focused.

2) Yaradua : No time, but ...

3) GoodLuck : built castles in the air ...

4) Buhari : playing seesaw with Nigeria ...
In reflections, I always ask myself ...
So no God fearing president can use a whole 4, 8 years to give us steady supply of electricity?
But this is shocking .

Wetin i wan carry d police numbers do now??
No be everything dem take dey play!

I hate the Nigerian Police, but that does not mean I don't respect them or give them credit where they deserve.

I remember in around 2004, a guy in my neighborhood called me in dead night that armed robbers were in their compound. So I called the Asaba police control room and another police distress call no, about 5-8 minutes I got a call from the rescue police team that they were in the location. Though they did not see the robbers, they disappeared when the police arrived without robbing my friend. The police even encouraged me to tell my friend to come out that night through a second call, to assure them of safety.
So they are not totally useless, don't trivialize .everything

The don't have any resources. You simply don't know what you're saying. No computerized data for past crimes to ease investigations, no fingerprint data, terrible monthly pay, bad vehicles, etc. Even if you don't read about foreign forces, you should have watched one or two American action movies to know more except if you're trying to be mischievous.
The police have enough to do a decent job. Corruption and political influence have destroyed them. You don't need a huge budget to computerize a comprehensive data base for the police. Fair enough, many public outfits in Nigeria have robust database that can easily be accessed by the police. The funding from state governments, banks and other establishment is very huge, the vehicles they gift them etc. Many criminal cases in Nigeria do not need high profile tech to solve here. They simply are not interested in that, they prefer road blocks and chasing yahoo guys. No salary in this country is okay, but the paramilitary including the police are always giving better attention than any public office, except politician. I can't be mischievous, to what gain? I want a better police and policing, not illiterate police. Simple rules guiding us, bail is not free, even when you are in pains and want to claim the corpse of a deceased loved one, the police must collect bribe. Have you ever lodged a case with the police? Try and see, you are spending the complainant is spending, how can a meaningful investigating be carried out. Though it is not peculiar to the police; the churches, lecturers, every sector is danm too corrupt. But the police should be exemplary. My broda, if you like pay them N1m as minimum wage, bail will never be free, egunje is surebanker. The only genuine hindrance the police has is politicians and oga at the top.
