Family / Re: 'I Moved Out Of My Parents House Because Of My Mum" - Lady by Xtfield(m): 1:39pm On Mar 04, 2018 |
CastedAyo:My dear, you did the right thing. Most Nigerian mothers are like that. They worry too much. Some because of worry and anxiety have pushed their children into bad and regrettable marriages. Marriage is desirable, but you must be carefully not to agree to marry just any man because of your mum or any other person. Pray and rest on God. He will settle you down in his own time. I know you will soon share your marriage testimony on this same platform. Remain blessed in Jesus name. 1 Like 1 Share |

Kaysalas:I am honestly shocked by this response. I did not mean any insult. I was only trying to help. But seeing that you misunderstood my contribution, I sincerely apologize. You needed the SS2 scheme. To me downloading the waec syllabus will not completely solve the problem because the syllabus is not broken into classes. But a book written on the subject is written by experts who have taken time to break the syllabus down into classes and sometimes terminal topics. That was why I suggested you get a textbook meant for Ss2. I did not in any way imply that you do not have any book on the subject. I've been on for long, if you go through all my posts, you will never find me insulting anyone. Once again I apologize for hurting your feelings even if it was inadvertently done. Thank you. 7 Likes |

b Tpappie:The problem with many of these guys is that they are glued to their comfort zone. Must you work where you are currently based? Many schools in other cities need your service but you stay glued to your present abode for fear of the unknown and probably because you want to enjoy the free accommodation and feeding that comes with living with your parents. |

Computers / Re: Inverter Users : Lets Have Your Experience by Xtfield(m): 4:30am On Feb 02, 2018 |
Hello House, I need some expert advice on my soalr inverter set up. I have two 150ah batteries, 850w innova inverter(bought in 2010), 4units 130w solar panels and a 30a Mppt solar charge controller. I recently bought a battery charger to hasten the charge rate. I am not connected to public power supply at all so I depend on my 9.5Kva gen and the sun to charge my batteries. However I discovered that when my generator is on, (I use the gen to service my borehole, launder and iron clothes), and I connect the battery charger, the percentage on the charge controller leaps forward by as much as 10% . However when the battery charge indicator begins to flash at 99%, I disconnect the battery charger. But once I do this, the percentage drops to about 70%. Is this normal or is something wrong with my batteries? The batteries are barely 3 months old. Secondly is it right to use an external battery charger with the inverter(I use to think inverters have chargers already) combined with the solar panels? Am I not overcharging the batteries? Should I decide to charge my batteries with only solar, are my 4 units of 130w panels (520w total) enough? If no, what capacity of panels will effectively charge my two batteries to 100% in 6hours. Please note that the batteries are connected parallel (12v) Thank you for your help |

Hello house. I need some advice please. I have a. Seth that comprises of 300ah (150x 2) batteries and 4 panels (130w x 4) totalling 520 watts. My question is, are the 4 panels enough to fully charge my batteries. If no, how many more do I require? Thank you. |

martinz1:It's cheaper to increase the panels. At least you will be sure of what you are paying for. Tell whoever offers you this so-called solar generator to open it so yo can see the inside and I assure you they wont because they know the substandard parts they packed inside. |
Technology Market / Re: ... by Xtfield(m): 9:56pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
I beg run for this kind solar generator o. I bought one and found its not worth it. It's just packaged nonsense. I had to dismantle it, and only the battery and the panels were useful. The inverter enclosed in it was more of a toy. Rather than buy this contraption, build your solar generator yourself: 2 x 100ah battery - 80,000 2kva sukam solar inverter (not power inverter) - 80000 2x150ah solar panels - 50,000 1 charge controller 30ah - 20, 000 Total - N230000 Cables and miscelleneous - 20,000 For the same 250k, you get a more dependable and powerful system. I am not trying to spoil business for the op but Nairaland is one family and sharing our experiences will save others the hassles and frustrations with some of these Chinese products. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Yakubu Gowon As An Undergraduate At University Of Warwick (Throwback Pictures) by Xtfield(m): 5:42pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
ashjay001:This is a very unfair comment on this great leader of Nigeria and I guess like someone commented here, some of this misinformation is due to the scrapping of history from our school curriculum. To set the records straight, Gowon only ruled for five years (January 13 1970 to July 29 1975) having spent the first four years fighting the Biafran rebellion. Most of the road networks that criss cross the nation today were constructed under his régime. The fact that some of those roads are just being reconstructed is a testimony of the very good work that was done on them. In the educational sector, the Federal Unity Schools were introduced under his administration, several Federal universities were not only built but were well funded - Uniport, Unical, Unijos, Unilorin, Unimaid, BUK, Unisokoto etc. Under his administration unlike other military rulers after him, students were well cared for. The UPE - Universal Primary Education was the brain child of his administration. His administration established the students loans board where indigent students in higher institutions could take loans to complete their studies. Scholarships to study in foreign universities were granted in their hundreds. So good were our universities under Gowon that foreigners came to Nigeria to study, by foreigners, I do not mean just Africans but Europeans, Americans, Asia etc. Gowon, to ensure national unity after the civil war established the NYSC scheme. The scheme is still operational till today. Besides it is to his credit that that two years after the civil war, Nigeria hosted the 2nd All African Games where Nigeria topped the medals table. Besides, the now dilapidated National Stadium in Lagos was built under his administration. These are just a few of his accomplishments that I can remember. I sincerely believe that Gowon ( Go On With One Nigeria) was a great leader. Unfortunately, the love for the grandeur of office coupled with bad advice from those close to him did not allow him to know when to quit the stage. He was so popular and loved that for nine years, no attempt was made to topple him. No military ruler after him enjoyed such acceptability amongst the rank and file of the armed forces and the Nigerian populace. 7 Likes 1 Share |
