Hello fellow Nairalanders, I need your help in choosing an appropriate blazer for my students. The picture below is what my Junior Secondary Pupils are currently wearing. As we are due to start the Senior Secondary Section in September, I am trying to introduce a blazer for the senior class. Can you help me select a colour that will match this uniform. Thank you and God bless you all.

What's his name? How did you become friends? If he came to visit you, then he is not a stranger to you. You seem to be hiding information. |
This is really simple. The child is wearing his school's sportswear. Let the Ondo State Police contact the Ebonyi State command, give them the name of the school. Ebonyi state command should get in touch with the Ministry of Education to locate the school. Once they get to the school, the boy's parents will easily be located. But Police will not do this because the parents must come to Akure to settle. |
The two governments should exercise the political will to introduce reasonable tuition fees in the school. Those who can pay will continue and complete their studies. |
edidiongmichael:Christians do not have a dress code, but it's good to dress decently. Tucking in your shirt surely adds to your decency. I wont allow my students go about with flying shirts. Most employers wont allow it too. If I were, you, I would have gone out, tuck in my shirt and come in to continue to enjoy my blessings. The m,an who ordered you out was your Pastor, your teacher. He is an authority God has placed over you. Going away means rejecting his authority and by implication, God's own authority. His actions (no matter how bad it may seem) may be a test from God of how broken you are. David said, "Let the righteous smite me, it shall be to me like a sweet smelling ointment on my body". You should have obeyed him and allow God to convict him if he was too harsh on you. God bless you. |
Airtimex:Maybe he shortened his name. The full name may be something like Paululahi! Lol |
So nobody knows anyone who can produce this hat for me? Na wa o. |
highrise07:Mrs. Fasola was truly an embodiment of humility. Like husband, like Wife, I am tempted to say. |

As an Ekiti man who pay multiple taxes on my business (I am not complaining), I would have headed for the courts if Governor Fayose had released a dime for the burial of this woman. I would have sued the governor and everyone concerned. The late actress made money from acting, she belonged to the Actors guild and she has a family. If she was rich enough to travel to Canada, then her family members and friends should be rich enough to bring back her corpse for burial. If not she should be buried in Canada or are there no cemeteries there? But thank God that my very energetic governor did not disappoint me. |
Great write up. Above all, a man should plan for his later years so he does not have to depend on the children. Besides, a man should learn how to stay alone when he is young so the loneliness at the latter time will not kill him. God bless all fathers. And mothers too. |
Please gurus in the house, I need a PDF document editor. How can I get one? Please help a brother. Thank you |
Please Gurus in the house, I need urgent help. I recently bought a HP three-in-one printer (2130 series) to enable me scan past questions for my pupils/students. The printer scans into Adobe. I am unable to edit these documents before printing. I need help with a software that can allow me do this. I've googled this but all the softwares I downloaded have been of little help while some require that I pay to use them. Please anyone with a free adobe editor should contact me here or via my e-mail: fxman62@yahoo.com. God bless you. |
barapistis:Thank you. I actually know that I can get the Adobe software from them, but are you sure I can get the editor? |

What did she expect? That a basket will cost 1000? She should show us her father's tomato farm first. |
Why withdraw that amount of cash? What happens to cashless policy? Will he carry that kind of cash around in his native country? He just succeeded in wasting the life of the police officer. |
Xtfield:These vacancies are still open especially for graduates living in Ekiti and adjoining states. |
Is it recognised by the NUC? Hey boy, bring that JAMB brochure make I see. |
The guy make mistake no be small. Does he have to smuggle Indian hemp in India? It is not the hemp that he was arrested for but the smuggling. If you smuggle pounded yam in my state, Ekiti, you will be arrested now. Indian hemp belong to the Indians. No need to smuggle it at all. |
I think some of those who commented above did not really digest what the OP wrote. From his write-up, I do not think the company should be labelled 'wicked' for owing salaries. I can infer from his post that the company ran into troubled waters during those period and so were not in a position to pay. There is a difference between inability to pay and refusal to pay. Sometimes, inability to pay is caused by circumstances beyond a company's control like taking a loan to do a contract for government thinking payment will be immediate only for payment to drag on for years. When this happens, employees should bear with their companies. If you jump ship when the going gets rough (not due to mismanagement), you cannot be said to be a loyal or committed staff. Now that things have begun to look up for the company, those who stayed back or are currently working for the company deserve to be paid first. Those who left and are probably drawing salaries in other employment now will be paid later. The company in doing this is not punishing those who left, but trying to ensure that those currently working in the company do not get discouraged. Note that I am not in any way defending failure to pay salaries or inability to pay salaries due to mismanagement. As for the OP, I will join those who have advised him earlier to exercise patience. He should write the Management a polite letter to remind them of the unpaid salaries. Whatever response he gets from them will show him the way forward. At the end of the day, OP may not get his money in bulk. It could be in instalments. Whichever way, I think he will get paid. Now OP, we have provided free legal advice to you, when eventually you get paid, be a good guy and host us to a small get-to-gether. |
Sorry OP, I do not think it right to make generalisations like this. I am an employer of labour. When I ask prospective employees to tell me about themselves, I am interested in their life history, every bit of it. It helps me form an opinion of the kind os person he/she is. It also helps to confirm the information in the applicant's CV. So while some may not be interested in such tales, there are some potential employers who do. |
holarcarny:In addition, she must 1.be kept away from mosquitoes. This is very crucial. Let her take daily anti-malaria drugs (Paludrin) 2. be kept away from cold. Under no circumstance must she take cold water, drinks etc. She should also avoid cold water bath 3. She must always take plenty of rest. No stress at all. All family members must assist in this regard. If she's a student, she must not read for too long. I wish I can post my phone number here so you can call me, but scammers everywhere. However, if you PM me, and send your number, I can call you. I have a 16+ year old daughter with the same condition but because my family discovered early when she was three, we have been able to manage her fairly well with little or no crisis. Please do not give up on her. With a lot of care and support, she can live to the fullness of age. |

N104 per month as an auxiliary teacher in a government secondary school in 1978. That was when I was awaiting my GCE A'Level results. N4224 per annum after NYSC in 1983 as a teacher in a government school in Ondo State. |
I have like other Nigerians been following this story since it broke. I am not in a position to judge 'Apostle' Suleiman and I believe many of the people following the story are not in any way interested in judging him. What I am interested in is the truth. The lady has presented so many evidences of their relationship, almost enough to convince any jury of 'Apostle' Suleiman's guilt. It is not enough for him to just keep quiet and wish this away. If he did have a relationship with the lady, he should come clean and publicly admit it and apologize for his moments of weakness. Is there any man without a moment of weakness? It is just that it differs from one man to the other. He should not cover it up and say it is between him and God. Yes, it was between him and God when it was not known to us, but now that it is known, he should do the needful and admit his sins publicly and then he can withdraw for a period of time from ministrations while he settles with his maker. But if he denies, that makes him a liar and whatever work he does in God's vineyard as a liar is definitely not going to be acceptable in God's sight. He will eventually end in Hell if he continues like that to the end. My concern is more for the "Apostle's' soul than for any other thing. He established his ministry, no one can take it away from him by force. So what is there to be afraid of in owning up other than the loss of human respect? Is it not better to lose the respect of men, for a season, than to lose eternity after labouring so hard in the Lord's vineyard? |
These are issues that should concern our honourable assembly men. It is a common practice in Yorubaland, I join others in condemning it. All these after the apprentice has served extra years after the expiration of the initial agreement. This is pure greed and wickedness. |
Sue them. Simple |
Livie2016:Are you really a Christian? I ask because I see you placing too much emphasis on dancing to the front of the church and child dedication. Are those requirements for making heaven? Is that your main reason for attending church? As a child of God why bring an issue that happened in your father's house to an open forum where most do not share the same parenthood with you? Will you do that with issues affecting your earthly family? I think you need to go back to God in repentance and ask Him to purge you of every form of carnality. And to those who may wish to castigate me for this post, understand that this advice is not directed at you but at the op. |
I see nothing wrong with this policy. |
