Leave all these online shops and head over to the physical shops. That's were the real deals are. I have bought all my Christmas drinks from Spar and Shoprite at prices that I couldn't believe.
Payporte's shop in VI was lit! This is officially my best Black Friday in Nigeria.
The only online shop that made small sense was yudala. |

mansakhalifa: IRAN! C'mon, man,Iran has a functioning embassy in Nigeria. Abuja to be precise. So why would you need to head off to the Pak Embassy to get an Iranian Visa? What do you mean by "if you are able to secure an Iranian Visa through the Pakistani Embassy"? I don't understand. Please elucidate. The list was made for America. They don't have a functioning embassy. |

kay2011: Hello Seniors,
Sent our passports to Accra on 27th October, got delivered on 30th October by DHL.
I haven't heard from Accra and neither seen any update on MyCIC profile. Was it supposed to take this long?
I need the passports for a family trip in December. I hope we would get the passports back before then?
Kindly share your experiences.
Thanks Mine took 5 weeks to get it returned. 4 weeks to get approved. |

SlowlybtSurely: You can take out private insurance for the 3 month waiting period. The cheapest I saw was around $400 for a family of 4. Can't even remember the name again.
However, there are a few clinics that take in uninsured immigrants/refugees. Below are some of them. Take note of the hours/days of operation and check the ones that are walk-ins or appointment only.
Also, if you stay in Mississauga or Brampton areas, there is a non-profit organisation called Four Corners. It covers you for 90 days till u get your health coverage. Link below:
http://www.fourcornershealthcentre.ca/programs/primary-health-care.html
One can only pray not to have any serious ish that will require referral to a hospital or use of ambulance. That can set one back by some thousands. Thanks. I really appreciate this information. |

You'll be fine though. Just treat malaria before you come. How about kids? You can't really predict how their system will react to a new environment especially with the cold. |

Hamiltondreamer: On your response about the POF saved in FD are you saying the person should not do that? I ask because the best advice when saving for this process is to put the monies either in Tbills or Fixed Deposit so that the money doesn't sit and be collecting dust in your account while your bank takes charges on it.
I hope i dont don't get your statement wrong My understanding of what he wrote was that there was no need to do FD since the date of submission is close. Doing an FD is more of an investment decision which has little or no bearing on your application. If it's FD, submit the investment certificate. If it's not, submit your ref letter in CIC format. Bank statement can be included. |

Canadianfly: You can choose to write your ielts in Canada. And my advice is don't start EE until you're halfway or almost done with your studies. Reason is you'll get more points/scores for Canadian study. Your application will be processed faster amongst other things. But you're on the right track. And yes, your 1 year experience is good when you are ready to use it. CEC and FSW-I is usually processed slower. Just thought to mention that. FSW-O is the fastest. |

Bsbabe: Good morning everyone. Please can experienced ICAN people provide advice? A colleague’s wife evaluated her ICAN (2013) with WES and the result is below-
Canadian Equivalency: 2 years professional study in accounting
Remark: The credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian education credential
Does this remark make this evaluation invalid? Has anyone else evaluated with WES but did not have this additional remark? Or has anyone with this additional remark successfully used the ECA and got PPR?
Would appreciate your help. Thank you. Did she have any exemptions? |

mamacajah: Hello All, in light of the new policy (see attachment) on withdrawal from Pension funds, hope it will not affect our POF plans? People should withdraw all voluntary contributions before Dec 1 if they want to use it in Canada. However, this doesn't disturb the 25% of pension withdrawal upon 4 months of ceasing work. |
