If yes, your earlier stand was wrong. There is huge nexus between the Nigerian Stock Market and reasons why Nigerian banks failed. And also, there is a huge nexus between the economic melt down of 2008/2009 and the stock market crash of 2008/2009. When the economic melt down happened, the bubble burst and no amount of money could ever be enough to push the stock prices up.

Go and read seminar papers released by SLS, then you will understand how the stock market crash of 2008 affected banks. Focus more on mal-feasances of bank directors on the floor of NSE and impact on their own bank shares.
