Amaraokafor: He is, not abroad ooo Do you visit him? Why not pay him a visit and sort things out? Is he financially vibrant enough to take you to the next level? If he isn't, what plans has he in the interim to measure up soon? My dear, do not kill your time with anyone. |
Family › Re: Should I Continue To Wait Or Date Another? by Yankiss(m): 1:09pm On May 03, 2018 |
Amaraokafor: Good morning nairalanders. Forgive my blunders if you find any.
I need a candid advice for a decision in life I'm about to make. I have been dating this guy for three years now and even if we like each other, I'm beginning to realize that I'm getting tired of the relationship.
I come from a family of three girls and four boys. My elder sister is married as well as my younger sister.I'm the one left hanging in the air. I'm not a desperate lady, but recently I'm beginning to realize that feigning ignorance to this particular issue is beginning to take its toll on me.
I'm in a LDR that has seen little or no results for the past three years. Although there's a reasonable online contact, but physical presence is like a war. Sometimes I don't get to see him for months. The thing again is I'm chasing other guys away from me. Kept saying I'm taken but it's like I'm deceiving myself. I'm tired. I've tried to let go several times but couldn't just bring myself to do it.
Recently another guy came into my life and he seems really nice.He asked me out for a lunch date but I've been mute. I don't want to double date and my present relationship is beginning to make me deeply sad. I like my present man but the relationship is so dull. It's too empty. There are no memories. It's like Im not even in a relationship to start with. Apart from the fact we profess love to each other, I think it's the most dull and under performing relationship ever.He is responsible and cool headed, but the way he handles our relationship leaves me completely empty, extremely sad and hopeless.
I want to date again, but it's like I need a push. I have this ugly reputation for overstreching patience. This suffering inside and smiling outside syndrome. So people don't get to know how extremely sad I'm until I open up. I'm extremely sad.
Talk to me. I will listen. Well, you are the person who will lose if you choose to continue that way without renogotiation. Three years out of a girl's life isn't beans. It is enormous. You didn't tell us much. Your age and his. Where the guy is, what he does for a living and likewise yourself. By LDR is meant abroad. These guys struggle to make ends meet and most often 'marry' citizens to get their papers. I suggest you call your guy and tell him to take the relationship to another level or you would move on. You ain't getting any younger and as a girl you have limited time on the shelve. While a seventy years old guy can marry, once a girl crosses thirty five it is only an act of God. You shouldn't be in a dilemma. Don't be afraid of losing who isn't afraid to lose you. If the guy's response is vague, go ahead and dump him. If he truly cares and loves you, he will sit up! Good luck. |

Many people are disillusioned and suffer from various paranoia. You could be attacked for this. He is married. You ought to have quietly and secretly turned him down and respected his privacy. orisa37: Nigeria President is more powerful over his people than the US President. Restructure the 36 States and return Power to the Grassroots. All Powers of God are for the grassroots. It is their right and not that of a Daura man to Lord it over a Yenagoa or Ozozo man. Restructure, Restructure and Restructure the election system, homeland security system, resources uses and application system, reverse fund allocation system etc and Nigeria will be peaceful and less notorious. Good one. I suggest going back to regional structure and resource control. The various regions can manage their development individually and pay tax to the centre. The federal government in turn maintains the armed forces and police and administers the regions using taxes from them. The present system is only federal on paper but unitary in practice. It is unworkable and sure to lead Nigeria to doom. |

15Ebisco: Oby Ezekwesili, former Minister of Education, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with his United States counterpart, Donald Trump.
She expressed hope that the meeting between the two Presidents will boost Nigeria’s economy.
The co-converner of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group also expressed hope that with the meeting, Nigeria will “embrace and implement sound structural policies.”
In a tweet, she wrote: “Our President’s .@MBuhari trip to meet with his US counterpart has a hopefully great prospect as far as Trade goes.
“Hopefully, we shall now embrace and implement sound structural policies that will make us more productive & competitive so we have much more than crude to trade.”
http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/05/ezekwesili-reacts-to-buhari-trumps.html It is good to be a balanced critique. Nigeria desperately needs people of this cast who can tell you as it is, whether they have sympathy for the opposition or ruling party |

Ecstasy154: By Nwafor Sunday
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday urged Nigerian youths to maximise opportunities in agriculture, noting that ‘agriculture’ is the future of the country that will provide them with everything they need including respect.
Speaking at Blair House, Washington DC, the President at a meeting with the Chief Executive Officers of six American agricultural companies and their Nigerian counterparts including Aliko Dangote and John Coumantaros, again lamented the challenges of the country’s youth bulge, with sixty per cent of the population below 30 years.
Buhari reiterated the need to assist Nigerian youths to access opportunities in agriculture, saying that ‘Agriculture is proving to be the bedrock of the nation’s new economy’ he said.
In his words, “We realized, rather belatedly that we ought to have been investing in agriculture. We are now aiming at food security because of our large population. Our youths, the ones who have gone to school and even those that have not, should go to the farm, to earn respect for themselves.
“Agriculture is providing jobs for millions of our citizens and we are doing well towards the attainment of food security and jobs. The media may not appreciate the work we are doing but we will shock them by the success we are recording.”
President Buhari welcomed the several investment proposals being put in place by the Americans and their Nigerian counterparts.

Many of us, including our political leaders, are guilty of only pointing fingers, but fail woefully in adducing workable solutions to the myriads of problems in Nigeria. Until the present government came into power, they did not fully appreciate the numerous challenges faced by the predecessor government. We are in the dawn of a new dispensation and a record number of aspirants are openly declaring daily to take over the mantle of leadership of our great nation. What exactly are the challenges of Nigeria and how, workably, can these be fixed? Informed views, please!
