Tinubu is currently the President-elect of Nigeria, and some have expressed surprise at the absence of a message from Biden.


Former Nigerian Minister of Aviation and Director of Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, Chief Femi Fani Kayode, recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter. He stated that regardless of whether Biden congratulates Tinubu or not, he is the President-elect of the largest, wealthiest, most populous, most developed, and most enlightened nation in Africa. Additionally, Nigeria is the Western world’s biggest trading partner on the continent, and both countries need each other.

Hello guys. Please when you take somebody to the airport, who pays the 200 naira gate fee and 700 naira parking fee.

I think bolt is better this days. The prices on indrive is very ridiculous.

My first time at the airport yesterday and I got lost at Ikeja. Map was leading me to the express through a road that has been blocked good enough I asked some guys who told me to follow a particular Danfo which led me to Guinness. A good driver showed me the airport car park yesterday if not I would have been a victim of the airport touts I’ve read about here. I later noticed the google map was leading me to the airport car park.

My fascination with South Africa is the beautiful women who are culturally encouraged to show off their amazing bodies for the camera, but on the other side of the coin, I am still trying without much success to fathom the convoluted rationale offered by our South African brothers who are holding court in this Nigerian discussion forum, as to what exactly it is that compels them to religiously frequent a Nigerian forum multiple times every day just to devote copious time and energy triumphantly declaring their hatred for Nigeria.

The reply offered me when I posed this question earlier in this discussion, made mention of a few acronyms and initials which I presume to be important points, yet, the puzzle persists as to why precisely any person who exuberantly declares their loathing for any particular country would go so far out of their way to devote so much of their precious time typing furiously on their keyboards in beautiful Soweto, all in a bid to be a part of discussions focused on the very country that triggers such bitterness and conceited argumentation to flow like a river from their overheating keyboards. This is a fascinating phenomenon that I truly would like to understand better.

Thank you in advance, good sirs. Your response would be appreciated. Who knows, I may be inspired to look up a South African discussion forum for the first time ever, once the reason for the interest in Nigerian affairs by our South African guests to Nairaland has been explained to me in greater detail.

A man who cannot meet your needs should not be anywhere around you because he'll only be a stumbling block to your progress and cause you to miss out on great opportunities that would have come your way through those who understand the assignment. Don't ever let such men around you.

I've never been an advocate for starting small with a man after my past experiences even before the economy got this bad not to talk of now that it has plunged deep into meltdown.

A lot of ladies who went into such mess in the early 2000s are still carrying the family till today while the men are struggling to meet up with no headways or hopes in sight. This takes me to the next point.

As a single man still struggling, don't ever brainwash or be brainwashed by any girl to go into marriage and manage with you until things get better. Y'all have seen that e go better has become the prayer of a poor man. So run away from such trap. Make it to a reasonable level first before going for a woman.

I don't want to begin to go into details of the eventualities that may likely occur and become very grave due to inability to tackle them financially. Use your tongue to count your teeth.

I remember a long time ago when I was dating one struggling guy. The aunty asked him a very good question I'll never forget in my life and that taught me a lesson I've been applying in life's situations.

He invited me to come spend the weekend with him that the aunt was around so I could feel relaxed. When I got there and the aunty saw me, she called him aside and asked him the following.
You know we are struggling to eat in this house. Your salary is not enough and you brought in a young girl. What if there's an emergency in the course of her stay, what will you do? How will you go about it? When he told me, I became scared and thought the aunt was right. I now remembered one certain time I visited a friend. So that night we strolled out to buy suya. I don't know if it was from the suya paper or the unhygienic environment it was prepared that gave me food poison. That night, I didn't know where I was. Serious stomach cramps and I was just coiling up in the room that day holding my stomach. Again this lawyer guy no get shishi to even take me to the nearest clinic. In his confusion he gave me garlic to chew. That seemed to help a little but omor, I broke up with him.

So, with this few points of mine, I believe iv been able to convince and not confuse you on the need to stay away from a man that cannot cater for your needs.

Many Yorubas have been ignorantly listening to some of their big political bigots in APC that Igbos have a hidden agenda to take over Lagos from Yorubas through politics. Unfortunately, many gullible Yorubas believe these unscrupulous, callous and careless politicians in APC and this is already heating up Lagos and may lead to a xenophobic attack against Igbos in Lagos by the Yorubas, and of course the Igbos will definitely fight back and this may snowball into something bigger than we all imagined if not brought under control now through honest and adequate information.


APC is gradually becoming a dangerous political party, especially the Lagos branch of APC as they have used tribal sentiments and incitements to try to hold on to power in Lagos by using tribal incitement tactics to cause Yorubas to see any major opposition as an Igbo agenda to take over Lagos from Yorubas. Unfortunately, this dangerous tactics have been working for APC since 2015.



How are Igbos dragging Lagos with the Yorubas you may wonder?



Every inch of land an Igbo person owns outside Southeast; be it in Lagos, Portharcourt, Abuja, Warri, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Minna, etc, he or she paid hugely for it, most times double or triple the real price. In most towns and cities in Nigeria, other tribes or groups even accuse Igbos of causing increase in land price, how?


They always say that Igbos don't negotiate land price, that because Igbos have blood money or drug money, that Igbos buy land at whatever price the land owner tells them without negotiating or finding out the actual price of land in that area and that this always lead to land owners inflating/increasing the price of their lands because they know if others don't buy, that Igbos will definitely buy. Kano people once accused Igbos of this. I have witnessed this scenario in Lagos too and almost quarreled with the none Igbo person that made that baseless remark.



Now back to the topic, how can you claim someone you duly and cheerfully sold your land to, stole or grabbed it after he or she paid you in full with both family and community receipts?




Tell me one place in Lagos or anywhere else Igbos invaded, held the indigenes with guns like Fulani herdsmen and took over their lands by force and refused to vacate the community and rather claimed it is their land? I need a honest answer from readers please, we are here to learn in order to stop xenophobic clashes that may snowball to another civil war?



The much taunted slang "Lagos is a no man's land", is a friendly remark some Igbos have been using casually for decades to show how welcoming Lagos is to all manner of people, and how Lagos is a home for all. Have Igbos ever come out one day to say Yorubas should vacate Lagos that it now belongs to Igbos? During the 1967 civil war, why didn't Igbos carry their purchased Lagos lands on trucks and buses back to Eastern Nigeria?


During the Abiola riot of 1993 that many Igbos left Lagos to avoid being caught up in the Abiola riots, why didn't Igbos carry their Lagos properties back to Eastern Nigeria since Lagos is a "no man's land" that belongs to the Igbos and not to Yorubas? My dear friends, you all need to put on your thinking caps, don't let APC politicians brainwash and hoodwink you all into a messy situation for their selfish and personal political ambitions and gains.



Have Igbos ever dragged the Oba traditional title with the Yorubas in any Lagos community? Have Igbos ever stopped the Yorubas from having their various traditional and religious festivals and celebrations in Lagos even when they block major roads?



Dear Yoruba friends, APC and Tinubu brand of politics is polluting the minds of young Yorubas by inciting them to hate Igbos for no justifiable reason other than for their personal political ambitions.



Igbo men have governed Lagos several years back and Igbos didn't take over Lagos then, is it today that Lagos is being governed by Yorubas that Igbos will take over Lagos, how?



All these rants of Igbos wanting to take over Lagos by Yorubas is really funny and making Yorubas look too cowardly and scared of Igbos, and it doesn't speak well of the great Yoruba race, it makes Yorubas appear weak to other tribes. Lagos is a Yoruba land and that is not debatable till eternity, even the geographical location of Lagos alone confirms this. Whatever ancient history we read about Lagos belonging to Aworis, etc doesn't matter today cos the whole world knows that Lagos is a Yoruba land and so shall it be.


How is it possible for Igbos to take over Lagos, how for Christ sake? Will they carry Lagos and load on to a luxurious bus or truck and transport it to Southeast region? How please?



When an Igbo person buys land in Lagos, he pays development fee popularly known as Omonile money to Yoruba indigenes of that community before he can start any development project on the land. Why don't they go to Igbo kings or community to pay the Omonile money?



Honestly this useless argument of Igbos wanting to take over Lagos is annoying and stale, because it is not possible. You guys are being worked up for no tangible reason other than APC tribal politics of instigating Yorubas against Igbos to discredit opposition parties.



In 2019 APC accused Jimmy Agbaje of being Igbo and having Igbo agenda. They called PDP Igbo party and mocked Igbos with PDP. In 2023 its no longer Jimmy Agbaje being Igbo and having Igbo agenda, its now GRV and Labor Party.


For you guys information, it is normal for politicians to try to woo groups they believe have high population in a city to boost their chances of winning election in their city. You saw Rotimi Amaeche who is also an Igbo bloodline from Rivers state woo Igbos in Rivers to vote APC. Different past and present Governors in Kano state did same. Borno State Governor did that in Borno.


Even in Gabon a far away country, their then longest serving late President Omar Bongo wooed the Igbo community in Gabon to an extent he made Igbo community his closest political allies just to gain their supports during elections and Igbos stood solidly by him for decades cos he supported and defended Igbos and their businesses/investments in Gabon to the anger of his opponents who started instigating some sections of Gabonese against Igbos claiming Igbos wanted to take over Gabon, how?


All these are political games, even though they are dangerous political tactics that can lead to xenophobia or civil war in close minded nations like Africa and that is why Yorubas must rise up now and condemn APC from using this dangerous tribal incitements and attacks to discredit opposition parties in Lagos just to hold on to power.
