mrvitalis: Who is talking about party here??
I have never supported the 5k per month thing
My idea has always been that the money should be given as loan of 3m to 5m to unemployed graduates. .. Who have impressive business plan These will create employment and they will pay tax which will Improve revenue for government You are a complete fish brained maniac. if you can't startup something with 57k it's when they go e you 5m that you will know what to do. I bet you even if they give someone like you 100m you'll still be poor in one year. mind you the money was not given to start-ups, no reasonable organization will give a dime to you for startup. the money was given to those already in business to boost there biz, do you know what 50k can do in the life of a biz person. well I guess you don't cause you re still waiting for 5m to startup or probably 5k from FG. |

Blackkie: Enjoy the egg ''flood'' Am planning on getting a shop inside a market, though there are plenty eggs sellers there but the thing is I get from farm. others get from suppliers that go to the farm. Anyway I think it's a new line that am abt to tow in this biz. but I need opinions, will it be advisable to get a shop in a heavily populated student area were it'll be a monopoly business or inside a market were others sell too (like I said, they get from distributors while I get from farm that there distributors go to) |

iNanaAma: Yazz09 thnx. If dats d case, can we use plastic instead of wood t build d pen?? N will d airtight containers kill d eggs?
Will lik t talk wit u via whatsapp iƒ possible. Hv sent u a mail. I'll advise you use wood. cause the snails eat the wood and mucus that grows in the wood, also plastic is chemical which is not good for the snails. don't make the hatchery airtight, the eggs needs to breath. I've replied your mail. |

Urbangrow: Hi Yazz09, I have read your thread all through and I really appreciate that you are sharing your experience with us here. Unfortunately it seems there isn't any room on your whattsapp group anymore, as I am a snail farmer. I would have loved to be part of the group. I am currently having issues with my snails.
I started in sept last year with 200 snails bought from a snail farmer and now I have just 163 and I fear I may keep loosing more. They aren't laying eggs either as the last time I saw eggs was last year October where I got about 12 eggs of which none hatched, so maybe I didn't incubate them well.
Their mobility was also good as at last year up until December when harmattan came and since then they just cluster up together and they've been dying every other day. So I don't know if it's because of the weather that I am having these issues. I give them water as I know and have seen that they respond very well when water touches them.
Their pens have cocoyam grown in them as well as some other plant for food and shade and I also give them feed formula but they have been rejecting that recently. They love plantain, pineapple and fruits in general, but it could be expensive having to be feeding them on this every other day as I have to buy from the market.
It's really painful when I see a dead snail in the pen every other day! I really need your help with getting them back to tiptop shape and start laying eggs and to stop them from dying.
Here are pictures of my snails and their pen. Your help and any other person's suggestion/advice will help. It's really sad to hear that your snail farm is turning down south, but don't worry it will go up north again. First of all am not the admin of that whatsapp group, it's just some other guy that created it. That been said, regarding your snails. You have to know that snails are very picky when it comes to food. I mean they easily get bored with one kind of feed, so learn to change what you feed them if possible every other day. Secondly, the weather is very dry this time around. So I'll advice watering them twice everyday. Early morning and in the evening. Water the whole pen and make sure it touches all the snails. In you hatchery, water it twice a week to keep the place cool and I do hope you dig a shallow hole to bury the eggs. And place plantain leafs on top of the eggs, so the water won't affect the eggs. I do look forward to get a positive response once you take these steps. CHEERS. |

Blackkie: They are the first I sell. I sell a crate for N700 now to either Cake/egg roll makers or Mallams making Indomie.
Try and stack the crates well, no space in between each inside a vehicle.by Then drive carefully.
If you move 50crates and have one or less than crate broken that should be ok. But if it goes beyond one crate, look at how you drive or stack them. Thanks bro. But the cracks occur after I've offloaded and packed in my warehouse. Don't really know what is causing them to crack at that point, though am guessing it's the way I put the egg. Thanks for the advice. |

@blackkie please how do you deal with all the cracks you get after you've offloaded or as you are supplying. I seem to be getting much it, though not too much. but it's really disturbing me, cause that's my gain going there. do you have any means of selling them or what. |

Though only one person I don give credit on a bunch and it's because the eggs I got were just too small that I don't want to take it round. so I gave her credit just to let it be that I sold them. |

Blackkie: Sometimes ago, I made a post here that a big farm owner was mad me for opening this thread. She offer nothing less than 5,000 crates of egg to Lagosians weekly and still counting. It is like her advise is hunting me for real. I was talking to a big farm in Ibadan for about 2 weeks now. When the farm representative visited Lagos for talks, I ''foolishly'' informed some distributors near me who were looking for the item to join me in a chat with the visitor.
We had a nice talk. Our agreement was superb. We were waiting for the supplies to commence only for one of the invited distributors to cut others off all of us and cornered the contact.
Now, learn your lessons. If you are not dealing with someone of high integrity and straight character, you may lose contacts. May be, when you have a contact unless it is a farm that deals with only registered distributors and you are bringing in new distributors to their office, you may be sidelined. Always get yourself established before becoming a good Samaritan. on point my Brother |

gemale: then baptism is useless abi? what is d symbolism of d blood & water dt flowed 4rm d side of jesus when He was pierced with a lance? baptism can never be useless. Remember what John the Baptist said: Jesus will baptise us with Holy Ghost and with Power. So the water baptism is just symbolic, and also mind you water in the context you mentioned is the word of God (Bible). and what is baptism, it's immersion, been totally covered. so in actual sense be immersed in the word of God and in the blood of Jesus Christ. that's true baptism, not the religious one been done today that most people don't even understand. |
