Politics › Re: Rivers Crisis: My Govt Not Fighting Anybody, Says Sim Fubara by Yelight(m): 9:27pm On Dec 15, 2023
One good thing I see about this Fubara fight with his godfather is that having lost his godfather he will have to deliver to the people so that they can be on his side because he can't fight his godfather and be the people's enemy.
Politics › Re: FG Vs Nnamdi Kanu: Traditional Rulers, Lawyers In Court by Yelight(m): 10:51am On Dec 15, 2023
I did not like or support all his words and actions but the Nigeria government under Buhari justifies his deeds. If Government consistently disobeys his own court orders what do you expect of others?

KingKO22:
One thing is certain. Enugu can't compete with Ibadan city in all ramifications

All these ⛳ gulf course and estate you are sending here don't make up 20% of Anambra

In term of landmass and it's infrastructural development Ibadan is way better than any both Enugu and Anambra combined together

Ordinarily Redeem Church estate and Winners chapel estate in Ogun state bit this pictures hands down

Stop celebrating mediocrity without skyscrapers 🤣😄😂
He's just celebrating his place not comparing or condemning other places, so if you want you too can create a thread to celebrate yours

Iykopee:
Fubara wasted a lot of time trying to fight back. These guys should have been fired before they resign from the very day Fubara had issues with Wike.
Not necessarily, if he had gone that way the narrative would have been more against him but now as the Yoruba will say their calabash has shown where to rope it. It's a season movie!!!

Opportunity for others whose loyalty the Governor can ascertain to come on board.

Politics › Re: Jarvis Johnson, US Lawmaker, Calls For Nnamdi Kanu’s Release by Yelight(m): 11:03am On Dec 14, 2023
Arresting this man was one of the many terrible mistakes Buhari did. The guy was not this popular until he was arrested, charged to a Nigeria court and the Nigeria court with the Nigeria constitution asked him to be free but no he wasn't released.
Politics › Re: Linda Somiari Stewart: Rivers Lawmaker Makes U-Turn, Returns To PDP by Yelight(m): 4:16pm On Dec 13, 2023
YesDaddyTill203:
Like I have previously stated. Even the Nigerians complaining about bad govt don't really care about good governance, what they really care about is that the person they support is in charge.
Just listen to all these NL wailing wailers. How can you support 5 members against 27? Just imagine if 5 members tried to impeach this Governor, these same people will be crying how illegal that it. They will be crying that this is the end of democracy.
But just because they don't like Wikez they are are willing to support a Governor setting the assembly on fire, they are ok with 5 members controlling the assembly and against a clear majority of 27. They are even ok with a Governor demolishing the house of assembly just to prevent the 27 members from doing what they are legally allowed to do under the law.
Now you can see that even the wailing wailers don't care about what is right or what is wrong, as long as the side they support is winning according to them.
If and when Wike and his own gang start to fo their own illegalities, then social media will be filled with cries of democracy is dead blah blah blah. HYPOCRITES.
I partly agree with u on a general note but specifically as it applies to Rivers I beg to differ, where the 27 majority elected to impeach an elected governor on the ground that he fails to do the biddings of his predecessor who helped him became governor? So it's been a show of illegality all along. No human is and can be God.

What a tragic way to end the year, 4 is now bigger than 27. Smh.

In just less than 3 months he got into office, Sim Fubara started fighting his political benefactor. Less than 3 months out of 4 years o!
Not new to Nigeria politics, remember Rotimi Amaechi NGF election during GEJ? It might be bad as u rightly said but worse than that is the 27 members decamping to another party within the same time!!! It's a season movie, the end is not in sight yet.

Food › Re: See What Someone Bought With An Hour Minimum Wage In The UK £10 by Yelight(m): 1:31pm On Dec 03, 2023
descarado:
Lots of things are very cheap in uk. The joy is you can get the expensive yet very good ones in charity shops if you know your onions. So you can literally furnish your house like a big man from charity shops. Some of the things there haven't been used but they are obeying the law of the land.
Also the so called bills are okay unless you are illegal who don't have a good job.
And you can still save a lot.

The problem with Nigerian is when they travel abroad, they want to show they have hammered and go on speedy credits. Big car,big mortgage, big everything all on credit. And then blame govt.
UK govt subsidised almost everything for her people cos they do not run capitalist economy.
Health is free. We don't add that at all.
We see that as our right. Very ungrateful people we are.

Even schooling. Govt is virtually sponsoring you in uni if you meet the requirement.

We are never satisfied.
Next April, an increment in minimum wage. How many times has Nigerian govt done that?
Thank you for this.
The "I have arrived" mentality of our people is what put most in trouble

Ayedatiwa knows well. He isn't fighting this battle after the President's intervention. Akeredolu's camp is just trying to soil him and Make him unappealing to the President's camp. Make him unworthy of any possible compensation from the presidency, as a result of disrespect to the wishes of the presidency
Very possible especially in APC setting

Let the Governor come out and be doing his job if he's capable health wise and if he's truly incapacitated let the deputy be declared acting till he's fit to resume.

misano:
I regret it o. As a Deltan, I regret supporting him. I will not support any Igbos candidate. The Igbos don't know how to build relationships with other tribes. After the election they are fighting in every region that Obi won. Truth be told Igbos will likely not be president in Nigeria. They will have to go with their Biafra.
I don't believe in this kind of generalization to start with, there are good igbos, there are bad Igbos, the same applies to all other tribes as well. Secondly, I support PETER OBI not igbo
