When GEJ appointed Okukpe & Abati, APC and Buhari criticized him and said it is a waste and the two positions are suppose to be one/merged. But Buhari has appointed Edesina & Shehu in same positions. SAME THING GEJ DID!
When GEJ went trying to get Niger, Chad and Cameroon to help in fighting Boko Haram, Buhari, Elrufai and APC cried foul and criticized the move, they even labeled it a disgrace. But few hrs after President Buhari's inauguration, he ran to those countries to ask for them to continue helping in fighting Boko Haram. SAME THING GEJ DID!
Before election, Buhari said he won't have office of the first lady if elected, but after election Aisha Buhari's official portrait was rolled out. SAME THING GEJ DID!
When GEJ pardoned Alamieyeseigha his political Godfather, APC and Buhari cried foul and said they can't tolerate such if voted in, under a week after inauguration, Federal dropped all corruption charges against Timipre Silva. And no one is talking. SAME THING GEJ DID! After one month of inauguration, i dont wanna hear "bomb blast or boko haram" again in this country. Buhari said he will finish them in 2weeks, a week is gone already. So i will wait till more 3weeks.
You all can keep acting like hypocrites, na for una. Some of us wont. Call a spade a spade. Now we have no major appointments yet, seem the country is cruising on autopilot. And una sey we never enter one chance |
Politics › Re: 5 Reasons Why Wike Cannot Dissolve The Newly Elected LG Chairmen In Rivers State by yellowsun: 8:33pm On May 26, 2015 |
NgeneUkwenu: These are the reasons why Wike will not dare to dissolve the newly elected LG Chairmen without going through the tedious route of the Judiciary.
1. Rule Of Law: Barring any unforeseen circumstances, May 29th will mark a Turning point in Nigeria's nascent democracy, when the amiable and people general Muhammadu Buhari will return to power the second time. Buhari known for his strict adherence to Rule of Law will not condone any act of brigandage from Nyesom Wike or any of his lieutenants, and wike will not like to dare him either. Whatever it is wike feels about the election should be channeled through the court just like Peterside Dakuku, his main rival in April 11 election was advised to do.
The Police and Lawful Order: Just like the first point above, No commissioner of police Under the government of Buhari Post May, will be willing to carry out any unlawful order that is contrary to the Rule Of Law. So Wike's hope of using the police or the military to effect the removal of the LG Chairmen will collapse on his head.
Tinubu's Treatment: Should Wike goes ahead to square up with Buhari's commitment to the Rule of Law by unilaterally dissolving or removing the Local Chairmen, I am sorry, Wik e will have to make to do with State's allocation to fund the local governments, as the statutory allocation for the LG will be kept in a special account pending when normalcy and legitimacy returns to the LG.
Absence Of Jonathan and His Wife: Wike may have been used to the life, where he gets everything arranged, fixed and cornered for him, owing to the impunity in governance of his "Jesus of Okrika" and her husband are noted for. This time around, he will have adjust to a new life, where his supposedly enemy, the Lion of Ubima, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi will be fully and firmly in charge of the "home affairs". So no cover for the "Wicked" here!
The Law Of Karma: In a saner Clime, person like Wike would have been cooling in himself in one of the dilapidated prisons dotting our land, pending when the State DPP finish preparing his murder charges. But hell no! This is a Nigeria of PDP, where murderers, Drug Peddlers, thieves and ex Convicts are rewarded with public posts to keep them afloat. Or how else could one best describe a situation, where someone who has been universally adjudged to have benefited from the worst electoral process in Nigeria, in which more than 94 Nigerians were alleged to have been killed, coming out to say he was not going to accept a mere LG election, because his party was defeated or he was not allowed to make use of the State machineries?
Consequently, with above points in mind, there is no way, Wike should unilaterally contemplate of dissolving the newly constituted LG authorities without recourse to the Rule Of Law by going to the court to seek redress.
Article written by Miss NgeneUkwenu: Let me quote you down and remind you later when you will start to swallow your words Just like Pa Buhari after elections he discovered that Naira cannot equate the Dollar!!!! |

Batch “A” Corps members deployed to Anambra State leaves Orientation camp
The two thousand, two hundred Batch “A” Corps members deployed to Anambra State have left their Orientation camp, Umunya, to their places of primary assignment to continue their one year service to their father land. The deployment follows the close of the three weeks orientation course. Speaking to newsmen, the Chairman NYSC State Governing Board and Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Tony Nnacheta, said that Ndi Anambra are open to other people’s culture and ideas that will help them evolve into a stronger and more prosperous society. He, therefore, charged the Corps members to be free and carry out their community development services accordingly, stating that they are expected to be responsible and as well, work hard all through their service year. Contributing, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, noted that Anambra state has been corps members-friendly, pointing out that the state Governor has put a lot of measures in place to ensure security of the corps members. Dr. Ibezim charged them to be law-abiding and relate with people of the State as Ndi Anambra are known for their hospitality, even as he said that the state has a lot of skill acquisition centres where the corps members will be of immense usefulness. The State co-ordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Rabinca Isioma-Odigwe, who thanked God for a peaceful camping, said that they have given the corps members all they need for a successful service, stressing the importance of CDS and expressing the belief that they are well prepared for what is expected of them.

Prodigysam: eurobomber: Fellow Nigerians, I have taken time to study recent happenings in our nation before and after the elections and I have come to conclude that there is a grand plan to start some kind of war in Nigeria. Some people thought that the last presidential election was going to be the last straw to break the camel's back but are still in shock that the presidential election has been conducted and Nigeria is still at peace even with the incumbent losing the election. Discerning minds can see that a pattern has been set to overheat the system especially by generating so much hatred and tension between the Igbo and the Yoruba. The rate at which it is going it is looking like one week one trouble. The pattern is that there is usually a provocative comment (alleged or true) made by a prominent Yoruba and somehow this is fed to the public and when the get to know of such comments, they become overwhelmed with anger. Just check: Before all these started, recall that a Twitter account was identified where a young man was calling for the killing of all the Igbos. Now I believe that the picture shown on that twitter account might even be that of someone that died many years ago. That twitter account was most likely created by the wicked forces outside Nigeria that intend to spark of a bloody ethnic conflict in Nigeria. 1. The case of the Yoruba Oba of Lagos-HRH Oba Akiolu where the Igbos were threatened with death in the Lagos lagoon. 2. The case of the Yoruba cardiologist in the US where a call for genocide against the Igbo was seen on his facebook page. (He says his account was hacked) 3. Most recently the case of the Yoruba Nobel Laureate-Prof Wole Soyinka released by the Cables revealing some provocative comments about the Igbo. I want every intelligent mind to observe this, in the case of Dr Ariyo, he said his account was hacked and I am inclined to believe that this is true. The people behind this agenda to set Nigeria on fire are most likely the same people that used his facebook account to post such hate words against the Igbo. These are the same people that opened that twitter account I mentioned earlier where a call to kill all Igbos was made. Look at the case of Prof Wole Soyinka too, how can an organisation like the Cable release such hate speech and tagging it to this man if not that some powerful forces were behind such. It is this same group of people that want Nigerians to start killing one another that used the Cables site to release that speech. Wole Soyinka himself has denied ever making such comments. My Igbo and Yoruba brothers, please wake up and see that there are powerful forces pulling the strings underground to cause hatred between us and the agenda is to take it to a level where it will be too much to bear and violence would be the only solution. The forces behind this ultimately want a massive show of bloodshed in Nigeria starting with the Igbo vs Yoruba. Some people initially thought that the boko haram problem up north would start a religious war in Nigeria especially when churches were been blown to pieces every week but that failed. They later on resorted to attacking Muslims in the north even in their mosques to see if that would anger the muslims enough to start a massive campaign of violence against Christians but that also failed. Let us all be wise and open our eyes, these forces plotting to plunge Nigeria into war are likely operating outside Nigeria. The boko haram option in Northern Nigeria failed to start the needed Christian vs Muslim war and boko haram is gradually winding down activities. Let us continue to pray for this nation and keep our emotions in check so that we do not witness a sort of bloodshed in this country that would be second to none in history. These evil forces have now shifted their attention to the Southern part of Nigeria and intend to start a campaign of massive bloodshed by starting a violent Igbo vs Yoruba conflict. We are too big to start a bloody confrontation against ourselves in this country, where do we run to for refuge? The numbers in Lagos alone can overwhelm Cotonou and even Ghana/Togo with a massive influx of refugees. How much refugees can flee through Bakassi? How much refugees can flee from the North into Niger Republic & Chad? Just with the boko haram problem Niger is already complaining and sending backing Northern Nigerian refugees. This is the only county we have and we must do all we can to protect this country and ensure progress & development. This message is especially for all the Igbos & Yorubas whose hearts have now been darkened and filled with so much anger and hate waiting to manifest. Let us put the evil ones to shame and ensure that their dream of an Igbo-Yoruba war does not come to pass! GOD BLESS NIGERIA! What you have written has always been my position, somebody somewhere don't want a peaceful unified Nigeria. The last time I checked we were to disintegrate this year probably after the elections but then the rest is history!!!!!!! Nigerians should always think outside the box |

oneeast: And who told you that it was not the court that concluded the matter before demolition set in? Or you think government just woke up one morning and decide to demolish a house? These things were properly handled by the court before the execution of justice.
Obiano recently commissioned more judges to that effect for speedy dispensation of justice. Criminals must be made to understand that crime does not pay. So good citizens like myself support outright demolition to the ground of any house traced to a kidnapper. There must not be a trace of those homes used for harboring victims of kidnap because it is a sad memory and past. And it is working because in the past one year there is hardly any case of kidnapping or arm robbery in Anambra. We are good for it..
Please update us with Gabros next match and leave this matter.. I will love to see the court judgemen just as I've seem d demolition process. Confiscation NOT outright demolition remains d better option any time any day |

cjrane: Unless you can fully demonstrate to criminals that crime does not pay, you are wasting your time fighting crime.
The proceeds of crime are to build houses, own cars and live big. if these were not the case, i wonder who would ever do crime for any reason. Therefore, denying the criminals these proceeds of crime is the best deterrent. As a matter of fact, if what the criminals had before they ventured into crime is also taken away to make them worse off than they were before they decided to become criminals, then you'd change the mindset that crime really doesn't pay.
Therefore, the houses criminals own, even if they built it before venturing into crime should be demolished to the ground level and the cars confiscated. In this way, you will prove that becoming a criminal is the best way to become homeless and poor and not the vice versa.
Israelis used a similar strategy of bulldozing the homes of suicide bombers to discourage many from joining. Many parents begged their children not to become Hamas suicide bombers so as not to render them homeless and it worked.
http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/HRW-Israels-demolition-of-Palestinian-terrorists-homes-is-war-crime-382516 It seems u didn't get my position, why confiscate cars but demolish houses? U could as well burn d cars too. My assertion is simple, let competent court of jurisdiction do d needful and when found guity Properties be confisticated not demolition |

^^^^^^^^^^^ in as much as I support the proactive approach taken by the present administration to combating crime especially KIDNAPPERS, I am still not comfortable with this demolition approach to fighting kidnapping. Government should rather take possession of the property. What if tomorrow Government discovers the accused to be innocent or probably framed into this how do we start compensation.
Remember the Upper Class Hotel incidence under former Gov. Peter Obi, till now no competent Court has found the accused guilty of the crime, the said man is currently a free man after been released on Bail by SARS Awkuzu.
My take let justice prevail avoid jungle justice for as much as we want it otherwise.
