Stanbic, for instant, it is possible to withdraw all. Just type the exact amount of NAV in the redemption amount.

Axamasard has not been crediting interest for the past three days now. I sent them a mail but they are yet to fix it

Also I noticed Friday's interest is usually not added until late on Monday along side the weekend interest which is usually lower than expected. I still maintain that stanbic is better
My yesterday interest is still being awaited.

Some questions make me go shocked seriously?? How should I know na? All I know is that he says he makes 300k monthly. Full stop.

As for which bank offers 18%, it was Unity bank if I recall correctly. But make sure you go there with 400 million Naira if you want to wine your mouth and dictate for 18%. They might even pay attention to you, small sha o, if you have like 100 mill wink
Hmmmmm

I live in Port Harcourt. As for why he's still working, well, ever heard the saying "do what you love and never have to work"? Although he is now retired, the man no gree retire o. He spinned his company for about 8 years before they finally outsmarted and retired him. And as for how a 400k land in 2004 is now priced at 45m, I'm surprised you're even asking that. Don't you know that an area can develop so much that people would want to offer you even 100 million for your land? (2004 till now is what, 18 years? That's goddamn enough time for huge development to hit an area). That 100 million is nothing to them compared to what they would make should they acquire that land. That's why I emphasized on strategically, in my previous post, when it comes to buying land. Some people (like my dad I must say) just have the eye to know a place that would be well developed in few years time. Okay enough now lol

Peace!
Which bank in Nigeria offers 18% fixed deposit? I want to know.

When did he started earning 300k? Was it 13years ago?

Then invest in yourself. If you could only save 100k after several months of working, it means you have a low paying job. So what you should do is invest the money in your personal development, get new certifications, training, etc. All these will increase your chances of earning more and when you do, you start considering Tbills then.
How do you know it took him several months to save 100k?
I know alot of people who save 100k every month in fixed deposit. So, they should be using the 100k to develop themselves tru certification.

The point I am trying to make is that, not everybody has time to do business. Instead of leaving the money you won't need for like a yr in savings account, tbills or mutual fund is better. To me, it is an investment, not a business. The two are different.

100k will only give you around 13 to 14k in one year. If I were you, I would think again. Even buying and selling pure water in front of your house with 100k will likely give you more than 10k a month.
Not everybody has time to do business due to work. Reason why people like this opt in for tbills rather than leave the money in bank account. There is difference between Investment and business

Most times people's comparison comes only from where they see gain forgetting that irrespective of the fact that everybody interest is to make gain, sometime you loose too... Also gain and loss is dependent on when you are no longer holding the investment again ie when disposed off..

Why some people may see TB as the only form of investment there know, I believe majority here does it just to keep money above inflation. Also some do it to in place of something better than savings or fixed deposit. That said, we have heard from the man who exchanged Dollar and invested in NTB when the exchange rate was low and now could not get back the same sum if exchanged back to Dollar even when he had made a significant gain in Naira. Has anybody heard from those who bought Dollar in 2015 at the rate of N480- N500 believing it was going to N900-N1,000? What will be their fate if they need money now and want to convert?

Yes some bought land and it appreciated, have you thought about those that bought in some place based on particular news anticipating it was going to get high and people are still pricing below the cost price..?

In stock market back then some people bought GTB share and some bought intercontinental bank shares.. There was a time when intercontinental bank shareholders think they had something valuable but now the thinking is not same whereas the GTB shareholders are still enjoying their investment.
So there is always two ways to it. Its not always a one smooth way.

Even for the Bitcoin Advocates I believe there were some people who bought when it skyrocketed back then thinking it was always going higher before it came down.. Lots of those are sitting on losses now... If there are to convert it now.

For those wanting to invest in Diamond Bank should watch it ooo even though the CBN guarantees depositors funds.. I personally do not fancy doing business with mismanaged company.
You have said it all

The answer is that it depends.

What is your time horizon for this investment? In order words, will you need to access the money sooner or later? If you want flexibility to access your cash, then money market is the way to go as these are more liquid and therefore easier to cash out in the event you want to do that.

If accessing the cash quickly is not important, then we are really looking at how the returns compare against each other. From a rate of return perspective, you will need to compare the money market rate (which is an annualized number) to the true yield on the T-bills - if not you are mixing oranges and mangoes in the comparison. The true yield for the tenors you have indicated are as follows:

91 - 11.1%
182 - 14.5%
364 - 16.3%

You also need to consider the fact that interest on T-bills is not taxable while earnings on momey market funds are taxable at 10% i believe. So on an after-tax basis, the money market return of 11.54% is 10.4%.

In short, if liquidity is more important than rate of return, then go with money market, if not, TBill is the way to go!
Money market rate is tax free

Good Day Everyone..

I have been looking for interest possible mean of saving money monthly as a student.. and I got to know MMF

How do I go about getting it..
Which bank is the best...
How is the interest dashed..

I intend to be depositing 5k on a monthly basis..

Please I need advice on how to start, what it takes
Most of mmf accept 5k
You can try any of the following : axa mansard, arm, fbnquest, stanbic
Interest is on a daily basis and are being added on every working day.
You can choose dividend payout or reinvestment at every quarter.
NB: Interest rate varies
I hope this little explanation helps. Others can also add to it. Just ensure you do a little research on your own
