Hi guys.

I noticed that my ID card and student portal is showing 'second semester 2020'.

I just want to know why because I am supposed to be in my first semester in MSc programme. Although I registered my courses in November 2020 after I got the admission.

Don't worry about the semester. Your ID card is valid

I finished my PGD exams in 2019 second semester and the results came out early this year. I'm currently working on my project but I tried logging into my portal today to no avail. I could remember doing semester registration some months back.

Please, what could be the problem and how can I get it fixed.

If I should submit my project in January, when will the result come out and when will my name be released?
Go and do portal registration for you to have access. It is free

Hello Yem0350 You will hold your remita receipt , passport, birth certificate with the application page . Then you will make three copies of each document and arrange them in 3 groups of (certificates, remita receipts, birth certificate and application page) and staple them with 1 passport on each and get a file also to put them ....... Try and make the copies from your side cos photocopies is costly over there. Thanks
God will bless you for the feedback

For the newly admitetd students, Postgraduate precisely, after your documents have been verified and you now have your matric number, what is the next line of action to take?
Next line is to register for the semester.

I want to ask, was transcript requested during your admission process ?

Noun is not a school, infact am starting to regret obtaining the form,BFN (207)TMA1 was not uploaded before it was closed, infact I still checked in the morning before it was closed it was still showing not yet ready,I was told that it has gone,I will be marked 0 in that TMA,infact am considering obtaining ui dlc form and stop noun,it pained me,and who knows the worst thing they may done.

As usual, any course without TMA, implies the exam will be based on 100%
This is not new.

I am a NOUN Masters holder... I hold a BSc degree from UNN...

Going to NOUN was a mistake for me, I would have sacrificed more and go for a conventional University...

I have been applying for lecturing jobs for more the 3 years now, to no avail. I have no other choice than to attribute it to the certificate I presented.

Just an eye opener, it seems they are just using us for revenue generation, they do not want to intervene in the stereotyping that have rendered their certificates almost useless...

The only thing the certificate is useful for is to further your studies, no big industry takes it serious.

If you must know, people have secured job with NOUN certificate e.g me
It is simply because you are not suitable and lucky, not your certificate.
Even if you go to the best uni in World, that does not mean you will get a job in this country called Nigeria.

In summary, develop yourself, pray for luck or look for good connection in order to secure a job in this our country

I just discovered that my accrued returns on FBN money market has been N0.00 since Friday. Which is not supposed to be.

Checked my bank account to see if the money was paid into it, but nothing.

I'm curious, anyone with any explanation to this?

Your accrued interest will be paid this week

my bro, I'm tired of this negative balance of a thing. am on graduation list, I own the school -37000. just to pay the money this morning, my portal is showing -65000, adding some money I ve paid b4 of which I have the RRR payment. I went to see bursar ,he said I shu wait a little. but am disturbed cus I don't want any impediments for my clearance. all I want is to remove the minus from my E wallet.
I thought this negative balance has been resolved, why is it recurring Again

I wrote my final examinations last semester and to the best of my knowledge I have written and passed all my required courses including my project report. Unfortunately my name is not on the convocation list (including the supplementary list ) .

A friend suggested I write a complaint letter to my study center another is telling me that may be I still have some courses still pending that I need to take or my name will appear in next year list as such I should be patient.

The idea of me having pending courses sounds likely but the Noun portal has no provision for viewing this until registration payment is made. What if I pay and register for this semester only to now discover I don't have pending courses.

I want t to appeal to the management of NOUN to make the portal more interactive for easy access to information. The study centers should also be forthcoming with information when students with this kind of issues approach them. A situation whereby you are asked to write a complaint letter regarding an issue and nothing comes out of it is not good.

Is GST 707 included in the 34 units?
