"why is he here? Why can't he just leave me alone" Victoria grumbled under her voice.

"Victoria!!!" Justin called from outside.

He must had seem my pair of shoes outside. So I thought.

"open the door for him" I had said to Victoria who sat on the chair by the reading table re-arranging her hair.

"you see what you cause?" she accused me.

What did I do? Why me? Why always me?

"what did I do?" I needed to know my offence.

"Victoria......I know you're inside. Open this door" Justin kept ranting.

"you made me almost sin against God" she said stil contemplanting weather to open the door for her boyfriend.

"all the kissing and romance nor be sin abi" I thought or saying that, but rather I kept quiet.

"you're making matter worst. Open the door for him" I begged her.

"I wouldn't! Let him come back home" She said.

"is that want you want?"

She nodded her head in reply.

"open the door and tell him"

She hissed at me, stood up from the chair and walked to the bathroom.

"I know you're in here. Open the door for me....." Justin said banging the door.

I was getting tire of the noise. I stood up from the foam and foolishly walked to the door.

"don't open it!"

"open the door for him"

"why should I open it?"

Different thoughts were running through my small head.

I finally made up my mind and opened the door for him.

"oh! Yemi, you're the one with her" Justin said pushing me as he entered the room.

Justin was a Degree student around my age. He was my direct opposite: he was short, fair in complexion, chubby, rich and handsome.
I sometimes wonder why Victoria chose to date a guy like that. It could only be for a reason "his money".
"what do you mean by that?" I asked, but rather he ignored my question.

He surveyed the room, walked to the kichenenth and back to the room.

"where is Victoria?" he asked.

I kept quiet while playing "Midnight Pool" on my mobile phone.

"Victoria..." he ranted.

"what do you want?" Victoria asked him from the bathroom.

"come outside" he commanded.

Just like he had charms in his mouth, Victoria came out of the bathroom.

"Justin, you slapped me?" Victoria said crying as Justin landed a hot slap on her cute face.

As a lover boy, I thought it was the best time I show her how much I love and care for her.

I stood up from the foam and grabbed Justin by his shirt.

"are you mad? Don't you have respect for ladies?" I asked the ill-mannered Justin.

"you must be stupid for asking me such question. Leave my shirt before I slap you too" he threatened.

"Yemi, please leave his shirt" Victoria pleaded on his behalf.

He was lucky. I would have taught him never to mess with a "Yoruba boy wey grow for Benin".

I released his shirt and walked to Victoria.

"it's okay! Stop crying" I consoled her with my hand round her shoulder.

"get out of my room" she shouted at Justin.

"are you asking me out of your house?" Justin asked.

"just get out and never you come back" she replied him.

Justin looked at me with a "i-go-kill-you" face and angrily walked out of the room.

"it's okay!" I consoled her.

"leave me alone. You're the cause of all this" she fired at me and removed my hand from her shoulder.

I learnt to always leave people alone when they are unhappy or angry. I picked me notebook and handout from the reading table and walked home.

Going home was the problem. The problem was nature had a different plan for me.

Let it be noted that at the risk of sounding platitudinously humdrum, we have asseverated for the upteenth time, that the convocation of a sovereign national conference for purposes of interrogating the odoriferous vaudeville of our national jeremiad, remains the only potentand efficaciously utilitarian paspartou out of our cascading national sirocco but alas, disdain complacency to say the least and at best Olympian pococuranteism and the tedium of prescriptive poco a poco is what we have been greeted with by intellectual philistines, high priests of a prebendal state and their opprobrious agents... LOOK AM NOW? If this is indeed true, many more may follow and this deposits me in a state of heebie jeebies.

Kaydem: This ASUU strike is a miasma of a deprecable apothesis of

our knowledgia centura is enveloped in a paraphlegic
crinkum crankum. Therefore, ASUU, cest in dejavu, dejavu peret ologomabia.....
