D00msDay:Bros, this is what I'm saying. The issue here is how you make your point. It's an open forum and everyone has equal opportunity to contribute based on individual perception. Truly we all look but see differently. Respect for divergent opinion is paramount especially when airing opinion on a public forum! I can see 6 from my side while you 9 from your own end, it doesn't mean I am wrong, likewise you. Pls let's try as much as possible to make counter points respectively! Thank you. |
badoh:One cold bottle 🍾 of beer 🍺 for you jor! This is the only sensible comment I've seen here so far! The bodyguard has the authority of the organizers of the event while the police have the Nigerian constitutional authority by virtue of that uniform! We should remember that both the organizers and the bodyguard can be summoned by the police but the police can not be summoned by the organizers! Let's apply some sense in everything we do. |
D00msDay:These people find it very difficult to make their points without cursing aggressively! May God help your life o |
Decidetolive:You shouldn't even have the temerity to blame this government! You don't eat local rice! Means you don't patronize local content yet expect the government to do some magic! I expect you to know it's an act of sabotage! Tho, I won't blame you because you obviously don't know! |
You can't compare prices like that because the economies are different! Labour cost and everything is different while the ingredients/recipe may most likely be the same. What's the minimum wage in Canada, I don't think it's less than 14$/hr. Do the maths, 14$x40x4x1600 = N716,800. That's the minimum wage for one month in Canada when converted to your Naira while Nigerian minimum wage is less than 10%. As a matter of fact, 70000/4/5/8 comes to N437.50 which is equivalent to $0.27/hr. So, cost of coke in Nigeria is N450 and in Canada is N3700. So, now you see it's even cheaper in Canada. When next you make such comparison, take the context into consideration too. Peace! |
Well, after the argument for and against, one thing is certain! Everyone has that one thing that is most important or that he or she values mostly. And in this case, I believe it's her nursing education! Engaging in that triviality at the time, to me, projects her in bad light (at least, to the sensible section of the society). Of course you have a right to your freedom of expression (as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution)!, but always remember that whatever you do, whether good or bad, some people will still support you. Unfortunately in this matter, even when everyone knows that what she did reflects her ill-manners, lack of home training and disrespect to elders, my obedient brothers saw it as her freedom to express herself! It's all good! But now, she's the one feeling the heat, she's the one to re-register and rewrite final exam, she's the one to go through the psychological trauma and financial implications associated with her failure! I'm sure, in her closet, she would have regretted some things, which is why she's so ashamed to come out and address the so-called emergency supporters on what's going on with her. I'll not say you've done a bad thing (because it's freedom of expression!) and I'll not say you've done a good thing (because of your show of bad manners!) But I'm sure of one thing, you have learned (the hard way) and you will sure take some lessons from this! I rest my case! |
Hi Op, Sorry, it happened this way. Pls do not blame yourself much because it's not your fault, neither is it your wife's. As for your son, love him, seek medical advice from reliable medical facilities and practitioners on how best to navigate this as I also know that so many people are having these issues too and are living their lives. As for your marriage, it depends on what you really want. If you can afford and would prefer to adopt children, fine, go ahead. But If what you prefer having your own children by yourself, then, you may have to sit your wife down to both analyze your situation and reflect on why you need to go your separate ways and into separate marriages. But make sure your wife understands the whole thing. It's a very difficult decision I must say, but it is inevitable and better early when you both are still young. I used to have a very close family friend, whom we attended his introduction and just two weeks to the wedding, it was discovered that they were both AS! Considering the preparations that have gone into the wedding arrangements, the invitations cards, asoebi already distributed and the love and excitement of the intending young couple, the wedding had to be cancelled, regrettably! Of course, it took both of them some time to get over it but today they're married to different spouses and are leaving the best of lives. In essence, we have to make certain difficult decisions sometimes to avoid future regrets. You need to look at this issue, probably consult with some elders and medical practitioners before you conclude. I wish you the best. |
kunle4toyeyaho:Abeg bro, leave that guy pls. To them, everything is audio! They never wanted to hear of any good things. Whosoever says there's no cng does not live in Lagos. That I'm very sure. But in their lifetime, this Nigeria will work but their doubts will still prevent them from taking position to tap from the windfall. |
She should also look for a retired male olosho to marry. Since they're both coming from the same industry, they will understand each other and their marriage can last for ever |
Segzy19:Well said bro, it absolutely is beyond redemption! And you know what made it worse? It's coming from the younger generation, who should sit down, think deeply, do personal analysis before forming their own opinion. But NO, their brain has been conditioned to reason in a certain way and they're not even willing to change. Very unfortunate!! |
crossfm:I knew it. I'm not surprised!! |
Mbanda:Pessimist sighted! Haters of development! |
Some say these are good questions and some say they're bad questions... with reasons. This is what education is all about as it empowers people to think critical, look at issues holistically and see things from different perspectives. Those that have argued for and against, you've all done well. I'll do my own analysis later in the day as I just came in. But some people will come out in the open to trivialize the need to get education simply because it doesn't guarantee success! We need God's intervention in this country. |
QuinQ:I hate it when people look for every means possible to discredit their government' performance! Governor Otti gave a road contract to Julius Berger and it is completed in one year, now awaiting commissioning and all you could see/think of was 'china-painted road that would wash away in a year '? Were you expecting Julius Berger to deliver a substandard job? People like you should be living in a remote village that can not see development in hundreds of years! God bless Gov. Oti for this and some other ones he has done and is doing. I don't live in Aba and I'm not even easterner but we've been hearing and seeing his handworks on social media. Pls all the other governors should emulate this man and upgrade infrastructures in your region for your people so this development can go round. It's not only Lagos that has the potential for development. The monthly federal allocation in billions can go a long way and your people will never forget you for all the good things you do for them. Obafemi Awolowo died 38 years ago. Yet, his good deeds are still remembered till today. |
UncleAyo:Even Kwara people have never claimed South. They have always identified with the North. So where's all these noise coming from? I don't want to believe the northerners are now disowning him and claiming he's not one of them. |
ERockson:Yes! I agree 💯 |
Xpol:Na boss you be. You said it all . |
Abeg, make nobody make any predictions on anything here as regards 2027! These people just watch the trend of events and play on their gullible followers' intelligence by telling them they heard from God. Meanwhile, they never heard anything from anybody! I'm a Christian but I hate what these people are doing! |
Hi Nairalanders, Pls who has an idea of the herbs one could use to treat ulcer for a 10 year old. We have visited hospitals and used many drugs both recommended and self medications. We've even tried unripe plantain, and other leaves. Presently we just manage it but it's bothering us because this recurs almost everyday. Whoever has a child who ever experienced this should pls help a brother. Thank you |
Interestingly, nothing like education in the communique! The Northern leaders should pls do something about this. |
DMerciful:I am not fighting for him! Interestingly, I don't even know him and I'm not from his region. But if we allow hate, sentiment and emotions to becloud our reasoning and start passing judgement based on these, we'll be sowing the wrong seed for the younger and unborn generations to reap! If I know you to be a public figure and an influential person in the society today, whom I know has a name to protect and I'm looking for a way to bring you down or get back at you due to some personal beef I had with you, I can decide to go online/social media to accuse you of stealing my #1m. I'm sure, because of your position in the society, the mere mention of your name, people would listen to me! And at that point, the next set of questions would be: when? Where? How? What business did we transact to involve such money? Maybe we've never even had anything that involves money together before! Before you would be asked to defend yourself, I would have to provide my evidence first - probably receipts, bank alerts, chats or anything that could be seen or regarded as a proof. This is because I might even be hallucinating, blabbing or just doing some dirty jobs for your enemy! It's only after I must have provided my proof that the society could now ask you to defend yourself based on the proof provided against you. So, you see, it's just common sense, not tribe, not hate, not sentiment! Those who started castigating and calling Akpabio out without bothering to wait for some proof either lack common sense or hate him for God knows why. Remember when she accused Reno Omokri, Reno only responded with his own counter proof after she provided date and venue as proof. |
HugoBoss10:The payment to settle out of court was the only thing you could pick from the whole story? Continue! |
DMerciful:Let her provide her evidence first before asking for a defense because I bet you don't even know that judgement in a court of law is based on proof. Unfortunately, this is just common sense but it's elusive! |
Emekaonline:They have all gone oblivion |
Hemanwel:Why are you trying to derail the thread? What has 'political elites attacking Obi' got to do with Gov. Sanwo Olu's visit to the British school? If you want to start your campaign, you're free to create a separate thread for that please, if, to you, someone who feels attacked by every other person does not need to also check himself to know why. Not that people will be discussing 'A' but you'll be commenting on 'D'. Let's be guided pls. |
Arapmoi22:😂😂😂😂 |
peleson1:Keep hoping 😂😂😂😂 |
PDPdestroyer:What an irony😂😂😂😂! |
Abeg, what's the name of the brewery and what beer does it produce as of today. Let us do a proper analysis to see if it's worth the hype and we can further help them magnify the good work. |
Honestly, I have nothing more to either add or say. My doubts have now been cleared because I now have a better understanding of some certain things. My appeal to the youth of nowadays, either in the north or south is this: Pls, never decide based on what you hear, either from a rich, poor, political leaders or religious leaders without going back into your closet to think deeply what you want for yourself and out of life. Look around, see what inspires you and work towards achieving your goal. It is obvious we might have different opinions and beliefs (which is normal). However, as a leader who has made a name and done well for himself, you have a great responsibility to lead your followers to their desired destination by the way you condition their minds and the kind of orientation you give to them. The so called "desired destination" now depends on how it is defined by the individuals involved. Please look well, think deeply and chart a course for your life. Peace! |
helinues:😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Guy, you get bad mouth oo |
Whiteshield:😂😂😂😂Pls sing it like song into his ears |
