AK481:At present, Wike will not support any presidential candidate from the PDP for whatever condition because he's working for the ruling APC government. Also because the South has 8 years by the unwritten constitution which every one is aware of. So, it's unreasonable to work towards unseating the incumbent only to install another southerner from another party since they'll all want to spend 8 years. Besides, if PDP is to come into power now, it is the turn of Wike because Atiku is not an option (even if he's not joining the coalition). Apart from Wike, PDP has no candidate that's that popular and credible. So, my own verdict is that the PDP should go and put it's house in order and prepare for 2031. By then, I know that Wike will be fully prepared because I don't see him defecting to any party. |
The EFCC has no business issuing this defense. It's appalling how some people would always blame their internal party problems on third parties. Even if your governor is asked to port to another party, he would not if he does not have a reason to. The reason many of them have been defecting lately is because this is the first time they've had enough funds in terms of allocation to pay salaries on time and have more than enough left to do projects and infrastructure that makes life easier for their people. In order words, Tinubu's government is different positively. Na wa o |
yang:If Wike is suspended, the defections from PDP to APC you witnessed in the last couple of weeks will be a child's play. What will follow will be a tsunami of defections and will be to no other party than the APC. So, PDP should not even think of trying that. They don't have such stamina. |
AK481:Wike is not anti-pdp. He sustained the party when the people fighting for the tickets all took flight and were only present when elections were around the corner. But he stayed and sustained the party and he still does up till date. This is why it's been difficult for the party to suspend him despite working for the ruling party. I am not his fan but the fact that I don't like someone doesn't mean I would discredit his efforts and genuine intentions. What I think he hates and which I hate too is that when we all have a meeting and we have agreements, if it's not okay by you, say it right there and let's discuss it. We might be able to see things from your own perspective and we iron things out maybe by shifting grounds and reaching compromise. But we have agreements and you leave and are doing something else, completely different from what we agreed! I would pull out completely and will forever find it difficult to trust you again. And this is why God himself will need to intervene before PDP can come back to power at the center. Peace! |
OneCandleAway:Of course he's free to port if he chooses to. Don't forget that his contribution in terms of finances, influence and most importantly, delivery of territory will go a long way in securing a valuable position in APC! Trust me, APC wants him but he's not a man to be cajoled. If he wants to do sth, he will do it and heaven will not fall. Haters will only make noise and keep quiet as they've always done since they don't call the shots. |
Only those with myopic foresight will see nothing good in this Lagos - Calabar coastal road project. Someone said "It's just a difference of 120km/58km" but one is 13 hours and the other is less than 6 hours. If not for anything, the economic benefits, value and opportunities it will offer alone is enough to support it (if you're not an enemy of progress!). But you are busy looking at the cost! Smh. Unfortunately those who will benefit the most are the ones who, out of hatred for PBAT, fail to acknowledge it and see it as unnecessary, but when it's completed, I'm sure they'll see it a the viable alternative to their village and even want to abandon the 13hr road!. Whether anybody likes it or not, the road being constructed is already providing indirect means of livelihood for thousands of people providing services for the workers constructing the road. That's the same way they discredited Tinubu's effort when he initiated the filling of Bar Beach front at the time the Atlantic Ocean overflew it's boundaries and was threatening to overrun Victoria Island. They termed it a waste of funds and needless venture. Today, the same effort has lead to creation of a magnificent modern city known as the Eko Atlantic City where thousands (if not millions) of people now work and earn a living. As a matter of fact, many blue chip companies are now moving their head offices to the same location. In addition, those who built the Third Mainland Bridge in the 80s also had that foresight when it looked like a waste but today, the absence of the same bridge in Lagos is better imagined than experienced! Therefore, I don't join issues with children of hate. When the road is completed, it's not compulsory to use it as the old road is still there, open and available! But the Lagos - Calabar coastal road will be new and tolled ... and we will gladly pay the toll fees and get to our destination on time! Peace! |
yarimo:and who says PBAT will even have his time? |
Tenisam:😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🏃🏃🏃🏃 |
DeLaRue:You can say that again! |
Hezzyluv:Very true! |
9jatriot:God will bless you for this comment! I hate it when people keep complaining without making the move to challenge the status quo. IPMAN should build their own refineries and crash the prices beyond what Dangote is offering. Sitting in one place to make the kind of complain you weren't making when the whole thing was favoring you will not change anything! Even the Dangote fuel is still overpriced and we all know but for now, it's the only refinery we have and we are bound to buy at whatever price he offers. Peace! |
FreeStuffsNG:One cold bottle for you 👍 |
Ibst:I think you have a valid point there |
It is actually safer at night as the roads are free and there are no much vehicles on the road. Besides, 90% of the tanker accidents that have ever occurred happened in the daytime. |
emkz:His followers know this but just will not agree with you! |
TheChameleon:Enemy plenty but PBAT na one of a kind! |
Hoelujohn:That is not even my point (tho, it's still Tinubu who made it possible via increase in federal allocation) My point is that we've been complaining of brain drain in the health sector and been looking for solutions, only for a governor to take the lead by increasing the minimum salary for doctors to 500k from 150k. ...and all you could say was that the things 150k would get two years ago, 500k would not get it now. With your statement, do you think other governors will be encouraged to do the same? Since they know you don't appreciate anything, so their efforts will be seen as wasted! We all know that your governors don't bother performing and now I know why. You don't ever appreciate performance! Even if they kill themselves for you, you would still complain that they were supposed to have died on a Sunday. |
Dennisochampa:Imagine o, salary increased by about 250% and that one is here vomiting! Spits |
Hoelujohn:In other words, he has not tried or he has done a bad thing! Let me reserve my comments because I don't want to talk. |
casualobserver:I agree with you 💯. A lot of people believe that politics is a game you start planning just when you need to win! Unfortunately, I don't blame people for their shallow understanding. As far back as 2015 when Tinubu was working for 2023, a vast majority of our Gen z were kids in primary school or JSS classes! Before you even make contribution to political topics at all, you must check the antecedents. That is the only way you would not argue of point. Else, you will just keep sharing whatever you were told and not what you witnessed. I think HE Peter Obi and his obidients should start working on 2038 after the northern tenure. The 2027 election is as gone as a ship that has left the shore. And he needs to be really smart about it because people like Nyesom Wike and Dave Umahi will most likely be in the race by then. And since we have seen their performances, they are going to pull crowd. Just my personal opinion! |
ArcSEMPECJ:Kindly name one hospital and other ones he built singlehandedly and post pictures. Those are the things that can further help his campaign not just donations to support. Anybody can support projects. The donations he's made so far is enough to actually singlehandedly handle beneficial projects that people can point to. Finally, let him build people. That's the smartest thing to do. When you build people, the people you build will always come through for you. It also makes your journey easier and shorter. But if it's all about you and you alone, when it's time for work to be done, you will also do it alone! It's very bad not to have the people who have become somebody in the society on mere fact that they are connected to you. |
HE Peter Obi making donations here and there #10m each time and place. You try sha o. But, remember that the impacts of your donations is limited to the things your fans are able to lay claims to. Why not take up projects (infrastructure and/human capital), have them supervised and have them successfully completed and then it's named after you to further propagate your good works. That way, people can come up to say "he built a hospital for the Anglican community at so so place, he built a school for so so community in Anambra state, he constructed a bridge to control flooding at so so place in Anambra, he did this, he did that". It is much better that way than donating to support. As it stands, if I also make donations of #10,000 to that same building, it means we both donated funds. So, how are we different? Because none of us can lay claims to it. Do things that your supporters will use as campaign points for people to see and make good comments. Just my own personal opinion. |
IPDGP:😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥰 |
So far, Gov. Soludo has been the best governor Anambra has ever produced. I see him going far in politics. |
Nanalucky:How on earth would you expect him to suspend his presidential ambition? It's never going to happen, he must be the candidate and he must get the ticket to run for president. |
I don't even see this happening because up till now, Peter Obi is still looking at the coalition from afar as if he is not even interested. I believe the momentum has to be gathered first before he now comes in to claim the ticket. But right now I don't even know if he still remember of the Labor party or he has become. Or has he just stepped aside to know which party he wants to go next? Anyways, wishes do come true. |
Icetech:... And you are proud to say this! If your unity and security is so weak to the extent an outsider infiltrates your party, then, the integrity of you and your party members needs to be critically reassessed. |
Chienex24:I have always said this and obidients never seize to disappoint. For them to comment or make a point, they must insult you. How has ruling Anambra without any visible impact translate to "people are crazy"? You don't get elected by insulting people on social media. But I'm not surprised, majority of them are born after year 2000. And as such, they were toddlers and kids when he was governor. So, they would always swallow whatever they're fed hook, line and sinker. Common respect for other people's opinion on Nairaland, mbanu! |
Sharpsharp00123:I agree with you 💯 |
Pristine664:Obidients can hardly can make comments without insulting the poster. I just wonder if that is how most of them were brought up. |
DrAda:what are your questions? |
3kay945:You're at liberty to say whatever you like. It's part of what you people call freedom of expression. |
