micflo28:I hope his portfolio will be changed to Works in the next dispensation. He has done exceptionally well! |
hopexter:Excellent response bros! |
dominique:Why not go there and measure it |
SmartPolician:What happened to constitutional amendment? |
MIGHTYMAN82:So, is it Sen. Dave's fault that the flyovers were abandoned and not maintained by his successor? You people always find ways to ridicule the efforts of these performing ministers and the administration simply because of hatred. Unfortunately, your opinions and approvals are not even needed in the scheme of things. So, keep hating but allow these people to continue their good works. Peace! |
Anyone is free to say whatever! This is the first time we are having a president who prioritizes putting the round pegs in the round holes when it comes to appointments for greater good of the nation he leads. We have all witnessed the way people were given portfolios completely different from their profession all in the name of ministerial appointments. Just imagine a civil engineer in charge of works, being able to point out errors in an ongoing construction. Definitely, he knows his onion and he understands what is to be done. But if was someone with very little knowledge of how it works, he would simply swallow whatever he's been told. Whether good or bad, he would not even know. Call it whatever, I give it to PBAT. |
Ajoray:What is your rate |
Czsamanie:Depends on you sha. You can decide to take accomodations in Ikoyi or lekki where you pay #1.5m PA because you earn #650k if you like. It's your choice! But unfortunately, your type only realizes that you've been living in fool's paradise when after about 7-10years, you find it difficult to account for all the money you have made over the years. Continue. |
Jega2000:Provided it's sth of value that appreciates overtime (not sth line car or assets that depreciates), then, you're still on track! |
bukatyne:Yes, you don't have to live on the island. You will still get a miniflat in that range on the mainland. It might be far but it's better |
See the issues I have with some people on Nairaland. I've said countless times that when you do not have an information about a particular matter, it would be more honourable to skip it and pass or read comments to learn rather than come online to display your ignorance. I dare say that the figure mentioned in this post is a little lower than the real figure of we had to include those unserious learners who were dropped from their programs. I have run three different tech courses at ALX with certifications (costing good amount of dollars) all for free! and someone who would not even bother to read before making comments would just tag anything that looks like good news "scam". I don't blame them, all they ever wanted to see is bad news all the times. Unfortunately for them, they're disappointed most of the time. What do I even know! |
Melagros:If there's no counter narrative, you should go and tell one! Enemy of progress! Whether una like it or not, this administration is working, putting things in order and correcting anomalies! Pensioners are getting the attention of the federal government now you're there looking for bad stories. You go wait tire! |
femtex007:Would be much better! |
I blame the management of Ibom air 100%! I doubt if this would happen in a business bus park anywhere in Nigeria. She wanted that kinda treatment, she should have traveled on a chartered private jet. She would have been dropped and her money probably refunded (is she would be that lucky). Tbh, this is better imagined than experienced. |
Even if you have 2 kids and a wife and you earn 650k in this economy. If you can not save a minimum of 2m in one year. Then, there's something wrong somewhere! You need to sit down and really search yourself. The state of things in Nigeria nowadays is enough to learn how to manage resources. One guy up there already said it all. If you have kids, recharge DStv only on holidays. You see this family outing stuff, make it only once a month and minimize your spending on such occasions. If you have a car and you work on the island for instance, park your car and take public transport (if staff bus is not available). Stock your home with foodstuffs monthly and eat from home, at least your dinner (That's if your wife can not prepare your food before you leave home in the morning), that reduces your food expenses. Your rent must be something you can afford, and not something to show off. With 650k monthly, I don't expect you to live in a house which rent is more than 400k annually (that is if you don't want to forever make money for your landlord. Remember he will always come at about three year interval for rent increase! Be wise guy, this is Lagos!!! Peace! |
cadmanspize:Olodo! Is Tinubu government up to two years? The whole thing started less than a year ago after Sen. Dave Umahi was appointed minister for works! and imagine the pace and level of work done already! But before we say jack, some people would come online to remind us how he gave the contract to his son bla bla bla! You are free to say whatever you want. But for me, I don't care who gets the contract, I appreciate the project and the good works. Can you pls show me any government from your state that has marched this level of performance? For your information, I'm not even from the Minister's village or state, neither am I a lagosian to say I'm taking sides with these wonderful leaders (sen Dave Umahi and president Tinubu) who has decided to change the narrative by surpassing the expectation of the electorates in such a short period of time! Of what use is a contract given to a stranger that is not executed and delivered on schedule? I think this government should be allowed to work and stop playing down their energy. If it's easy, contest an election, win and start building infrastructure. With the way things are going, this project will be completed and delivered on schedule, whether anyone likes it or not! Anyways, you people can say whatever you like, everyone is entitled to his/own opinion! Peace!! |
Wait o! The impression I had was that only indigenous from the five eastern states are the igbos as the south south usually claim they're not igbo. Ikwerre that I know is in Rivers State, which is south south! And I don't expect a south southerner to be a president of Ndigbo that is association of Igbo worldwide! Well, maybe I was wrong with that impression and someone should pls enlighten me. I am not igbo but I wish to know! All the same, congratulations to him. |
Where is twentyxpro today? Fizzled.out or was it a scam from the outset? |
I'm a Christian but sometimes I just marvel at the rate at which some pastors deceive their members in the name of prophecy. They just predict events and come out to claim they heard from God. My own God almighty, whom I serve, does not lie! Tho, I don't blame them, they exploit the ignorance and gullibility of majority of their members to their own advantage. Only those oblivious of the trend of things in this country would take those people seriously. But then, what do I know! God will help them! |
We have this culture of increasing prices arbitrarily in this country in the name of inflation, especially when we think it's a season when there'll be a surge in demand. We forget easily that, no matter the surge in demand, if it's overpriced, it's only a matter of time, the consumers will look for an easy way out by seeking an alternative or doing away with that particular commodity altogether. We should learn to invest wisely and not just follow the crowd blindly. Personally, I would not buy a chicken for 25/30k, at least, not in 2025! They should just discount their prices and sell off their stocks to avoid further costs, count their losses and move on. Alternatively, They can eat them with their families, it is allowed. Next time, they will check their estimated cost of production and the potential reasonable selling price before investing in such. They have learned their lessons I believe. They can only sell at premium price when the supply is higher than demand! Peace! |
Hmmm....not surprised! Someone is making reference to stories of 1939 in 2024! As an intellectual researcher or intelligent author (assuming you are one), I expect you to know that when you write a book or you extract information from somewhere, the source should be quoted to give credit to the real author. (I'm sure you are not even aware of that). I'm just trying to let you know that the world has gone beyond where you are as well now live in the jet age (21st century). In the year 1939 you just referenced, there were no computers, no phones, no Internet, infact, it was long before the independence when the affairs of Nigeria was still being run by the colonial masters. How then are you crediting the contribution to your people? This is 2025. I think you should fight more for development and infrastructure. It's either you jump on the train or you are left behind. Peace! |
Thundafireseun:Good comment! |
blueAgent:Do I blame you? Of course I don't, you have only displayed your degree of ignorance about politics and economy. If not for stupidity, you entered my mention to insult your generation! I don't have your time because I cannot give you the honour of schooling your type. |
This guy truly dented his image and rubbished his integrity with all those cock and bull stories he told! Did he not have a personal account before floating the NGO? Only for him to come out and say trash when monies have been donated into the account by those he later referred to as stupid! How on earth would you come to the public to say such rubbish.... website hacked and money disappeared from bank account! What's the correlation between website and bank account if you're not daft? Later you said you involved security agents and part of the money was returned and the accomplice ran off to Jos... you're traveling to Jos to look .....! Honestly, you made a mess of yourself! To add salt to injury, you came out much later to say that your fans are stupid because they didn't investigate, Ha! Well, I will not tell you what you are but use your tongue to count your teeth! Your fans dey try sha because already you're right with your opinion of them! Make I no just vex, na new year be this. Peace! |
Well, The op just wrote a long epistle complaining and condemning without making any meaningful suggestions on what to do or the way forward! Besides, I doubt if you grew up in Ibadan as you claim. If you do, you would know that you need not hold a political position for people to come around your house especially during festive season or Ramadan for handouts, let alone a philanthropist who has been doing these for years! Come up with solutions and we'll know you actually know what you are doing and not just writing for writing sake. Nevertheless, have a wonderful new year. Peace! |
EmperorCaesar:Bros abeg leave that guy. When he's ready, he will go to Elementary and count the number of trucks loading from there and then go to NNPC HQ to instruct them to always take permission from him before they commence any projects or employ staff. I no wan talk abeg. Na new year be this |
greatiyk4u:Reserve of $40B - three year high...and it makes no sense to you? Even while Tinubu government is servicing about 67 different loans taken by previous administrations? You can complain all you like! To me, we are on the right track!!! |
Good job PBAT! I give so much kudos to this administration! The policies, reforms, magical onboarding of our moribund refineries (whopping 2 in one year!!!), improved electricity supply, massive infrastructural projects, et al! If as a citizen, you fail to see and appreciate all these even while you cheer them on to do more, then, you are entitled to your own opinion!. As for me, I look for more and ask for completion of started projects as we progress. Peace! |
Bro, this is not that difficult, trust me! Since you're on leave, it's an ample opportunity for you to upskill, get a side gig, or get a companion you're comfortable around. Just get busy....with time, you will get over her. Remember to remove everything and anything that reminds you of her.... like pictures, ... anything! Delete her number from your phone, if possible, block her. Of course you will still need to unblock her when the time is right but this is to help you get her off your mind! Do this for 3 months and you'll be glad you did! |
This lady shouldn't be trusted abeg! How could someone's income tax be tens of thousands when she's not secured a job? Is it that all those piled up while she was working and she refused to offset them? She has a company but hasn't secured a job in four months and now she wants to come back here to farm! Abeg rest! You've not said the truth!!! |
O. Point! |
I have nothing much to say tho but the vdm I know would have called out the bank involved if it was true. Tho, I'm sure he can't be serious! It's obviously a prank. If he claims it's true, then, the government agencies unraveling such issues might be needed to get involved to do their investigation , so as to take appropriate actions against anyone found to be the culprit behind all these and that might serve as deterrent to others who might be thinking of toeing similar paths. |
