Present ma. Went for scan today. Baby's umbilical cord in between the legs. So, sex is unknown o.

I went shopping last month. Spent 45k already and it looks like i haven't even started.sighs!

Pls our mamas that conceived through ivf,did you birth vaginally? My doctor says he doesnt want to take risks o, so na c.section things. Am so scared. I hear say pain after c.section no be child's play.

Waow, thank God for a new month..hope its not too late to wish u all a happy new month...so happy DAT at least we are close to our destination... Just sum weeks to march...thank God for the journey so far...

Make I rant small o...hmm so I went for antenatal yesterday... Only for doctor to measure my bump wit take and said baby is growing at a slow pace...hian..naim I weak...he asked me to do scan...which I did oo...evryfin turned out to be fine, scan measured me to be 31weeks...baby weight 1.6kg...position.. Cephalic & longitudinal lie...so doctor said she's OK..its just DAT she's on d small side...my heart don fly ... I take my prenatal drugs and eat well so I ahdnt be having an underweight baby...at d same time I thank God she's not so big..bcs I don't even want cut or tear .lol...

Mamas DAT haven't updated sex or age or both shd plz do....it is well with us...pray God gives us strength and garace to carry our baby to term and deliver like d Hebrew women...amen.

Goodday mothers. Still took my DD to the hospital. Ran a full blood count, she had malaria 2+. Was so shocked, cos she always sleeps inside her net. They gave some I.V injections, was just crying when the doc was piercing the cannula in her vein, she was just crying. Spent 10k for treatment, they said I should bring her for the next 3days to complete the treatment. Well, I thank God for everything, but I'm just so down right now, I've been crying, I'm even crying as I'm typing, the money that was used for this treatment was the money we were supposed to use to buy foodstuff at home. My husband has still not been paid his salary by the govt, infact I'm just overwhelmed with all this situation, to say that this pregnancy wasn't planned for and people keep telling me that the baby will bring open doors. I still believe that this baby is a blessing, I'm optmistic and have faith that all things will work for my good, I have faith that things will change soon, but I can't just help crying sometimes, I'm human and have feelings too. I know God will provide, he has given me HIS promise in romans 8:28 and jeremiah 29:11. I thank God for the gift of these children, I know he'll provide for me to be able to take care of them. I thought babies that are exclusively breastfed hardly fall ill? Pls what is the cheapest baby food in the market now?. I'm breastfeeding and yet most days I eat only twice a day. Sometimes I jsut need somebody to just cry to, somebody I can tell all my worries not becos I need the persons sympathy. I'm tired of bottling up my feeling everyday, I wish I can shout and tell pple what I am going through. Hubby doesn't like to see me cry or worry over our situation, whenever he sees me cry he'll say I'm reminding him of his incapabilities. I just need a shoulder to lean on.

Glad to hear that, u had a scan yesterday and the placenta has moved up a reasonable distance away from the cervix. Baby is head down as well. Am so happy. Yours would have moved too. Take care

Hi everyone, I have been a silent member for a year now. I have decided to share my birth story today.
I put to bed in July to a baby boy. It all started on Friday night after kpeketus with my husband. . 10 minutes after the contractions started. I was so excited as I was already 40weeks and 5days. My mum was also around but I didn't let anyone know until Saturday morning.

On Saturday morning, I saw my mucus plug , I showed my mum and also told my husband. I decided to do some house chores. I mopped the whole house and cleaned the kitchen. By 2pm, the contractions got stronger. I just sat on my bouncing ball to ease the pain. My mum prepared dry fish for me .

By 3:30 I was in so much pain. I told my mum to check me as she is a nurse and she said I was 4cm dialated. I decided to run the bath and sit on hot water as I wanted to be 6cm before heading to the hospital . But as soon as I sat in the bath, I just started vomiting and couldn't bear the pain.My husband was really scared and ask us to go to the hospital.
We got to the hospital at around 4pm. I got checked by the midwife and I was still 4cm . They gave me a big room and my mum and husband were there. My mum kept rubbing my back while my husband was rubbing my legs and at the same time making my video. The contractions were getting stronger . We could see the progress on the machine and the midwives said I was really doing well. I didn't shout . I was just saying I don't think I can cope and they kept encouraging me.

At 9pm, I got checked again and they told me I was still 4cm and was not progressing. Everyone was shocked . I just said that is the end if I am still 4cm with the strong contractions. They decided to break my water. Immediately after that, the midwives realised that there was meconuim in the water which means that my pooped. My baby's heart rate increased drastically and we could see it on the machine. My mum and husband were scared . The midwives called a doctor .

The doctor decided that we have to go to the theatre immediately as the baby is in distress and seek for my consent . I didn't even think twice . I just told them I am ready. I just want my baby. That was how I ended up with an emergency section but it was all worth it at the end.

Congratulations to all the pregnant women and I wish you all safe delivery. He is six months now.

I hate pregnancy, I started feeling like a bad person. I'm grateful for being able to get pregnant but it is a very difficult time for me. I've been through hell with my first and with this one. My sister-in-laws(6 of them) see me as a lazy person, that I'm just using it to make their brother do everything (he's a great guy). I was even telling him motherhood is not for me and after seeing things this time around, dude said I am not getting pregnant again. They usually have drama-free pregnancy but difficult labors. One called me and was telling me that it is because I lack faith and I confess negatively. That if someone asks me how I am doing, I should say fine and smile. My mother in-law is a sweet woman, she has ten children and all her pregnancy were easy but she feels my pains, cry when I'm crying and encourage me every time.

They say every pregnancy is different, I was hoping for this to be different but I am still vomiting at 14 weeks, I can only eat yam and drink water. I've not been to work up to 20 days since October last year. My mom also had terrible pregnancies. I love my son, and I love this child I'm carrying but I tell my unmarried friends that pregnancy is terrible for me.

It is necessary but not mandatory including the one taken after delivery. This is because if after birth and your baby's blood group is also type Negative, then you don't need rhogam.

Some people like giving the injection at 28-30 weeks and after delivery others just give at delivery while another set of people will insist on knowing the baby's blood group before giving. Infact because of the cost many prefer the last two options.

However, if you experience bleeding or fall while pregnant doctors will advise you get the injection unless you have determined that the baby you are carrying in your womb also has a negative blood type.

gbam, my mil left my house during the festive season and I have already told her to start preparing cos first week of march she is coming back cos edd I 20th march. Though, my parents are close by just 5 mins drive. Momsy complain is just too much. Let her take care of herself and her husband though I will send stuff for her.

Eyah but truth be told, you will be more comfortable with your mum.

Advantages of having your mum: You can freely express your mind to her if she is doing something you are not so comfortable with.

Your mum will be more dedicated in ensuring you rest well.

Then I rather be naked in front of my mum than my mother inlaw. I am a very shy person when e reach my br_ _St and NY_ _ sh.

All these aside, some mother inlaws can do the above better than some biological mother.

I advise your mum comes first and when she leaves, MIL comes..

Congrats nifeseun, kemesty, daddy mukhcech, Dunni29, our amiable mama jazzyjazz and all other mamas who have dropped their LOs. May God continue to bless you and your families. Take heart Jazzyjazz, nothing shall happen to your baby. Go to that NICU and pray like a mad woman. The bible says that we shall not cast our young. God has not brought you this far to leave you. Declare when you want your baby to leave that NICU and believe it strongly in your heart. Declare that his breathing is stabilized. We await your testimony.

@Blossomedcherry like other mamas have said, as a rule of thumb, most hospitals opt for CS for multiples. You don't need to be afraid. Just trust God and always make positive confessions. You and your babies will come out victorious.

@Yesitsme Please where did you buy your Rhogam? Did you say 32k? Na wa o and my doctor said I will take it 3times. Baba God abeg o. One mama here said she got another brand that wasn't Rhogam but was also an Anti D at a cheaper rate. Please can she name the brand and upload a picture if possible? I'm just 12weeks now. Is it something I can buy and keep till they need to administer it or is it one of those drugs that need constant refrigeration? Make I know weda I go order am now before e enter 50k.

So, I'm being discharged but my boy is being taken to NICU. Pls pray for him to make a speedy recovery. They say other things are okay but his breathing is still an issue. I'm trying my best not to be worried or cry but it's hard.
