I totally concour with Sanusi, why establishing new universities when you cant fund the existing ones and i guess we need revisit the idea of regional or zonal government as we can no longer cope with that amount on administration alone and local governments should be scrapped. |

That you speak and understand spoken pidgin does not mean you would be good at reading it, the language is not standardised yet and with so much variants. You would need to also note that pidgin is more of a spoken language for now. |
It is because of foolish Presidents like this man, and other African leaders of other oil rich nations, e.g. Angola & Nigeria, that some people will continue to see Ghadaffi as a hero who did very well for his people, effectively managed his country's resources, but well, unfortunately, stayed too long & caused sleepless nights for some powerful people in the West.
You've said it all. |

@ceah, sorry for digressing a bit but dont you think most Nigerians hated Abacha but he still had his supporters for reasons best known to them. Same as the case in Libya even when the city of Sirte was liberated, the people of the city didnt come out to rejoice with their liberators for reasonss best known to them but you cant argue your way out that most Libyans wanted that despot out even if they had the highest HDI in Africa. |

htajz: oh pls shut up , in one thread on the front page your insulting people that tried it before and in another your calling for a revolution, you people are so deceitful. It is so obvious that as far as we have people like you around exactly what our corrupt leaders want, we are moving nowhere. Dont worry we all are this cesspit together, my only prayer is that people like you are in absolute minority and who are the 'you' you were reffering to on a topic on the front page? BTW, cant you express yourself without being insultive? |

afam4eva: Pls was there ever anything like old delta state like the OP alluded to? No, he meant old DELta province that was merged with BENin province to form old BENDEL state which was later disjoined to form edo and delta states, i think the boundaries of the old provinces and the present states remain the same |

htajz: igbo people again , they never learn anything , when it start let them remember they will be the target of lootings by miscreants in lagos and the north.this is the kind of news nigerian media like , when all good bad it will be easy to point out igbos as the cause of it. Are you saying what the writer noted are false and we as Nigerians can't fight for our right? This is exactly what our politicians like- divide and rule, so that we can't come together to fight for a common goal. Stop tribalising and let's fight the common enemy |

Kobojunkie: @Poster, aren't you curious to the fact that even though this man ruled the country for 42 years, most all reports on these so-called beauties of living in Libya only started popping up in the last 2 or three MONTHS(not even years) on the internet?
If you did a little research, you would see that the line on All newly weds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar have mostly been posted online recently(most of the blog posts, and African links containing this phrase seem to have been posted within the last 2 months). Why? Did you at least make sure to CONFIRM any one of the claims on the list you posted? Or are you just helping some others continue spreading possible lies?
google search is your friend to help you sift the possible hoaxes from real truth. I thought as much, if they had it this good then why the uprising and even if they did, why the rejoicing at his death. Wealth and freedom ain't the same. |

Nice research though. I am no advocate for subsidies but Nigerians deserve it because that is all they can get from the government. Unlike Nigeria, these countries listed above all have higher per capita, far better infrastructure etc, so i think subsidy for Nigerians must stay |
