There is a deeper psychological mindset behind the abused and the abuser, its basically about control,the woman being physically weak always resorts to more insidious ways to punish when slighted,while the man being physically stronger uses more direct ways( fists) to punish,majority of abusive men have very shaky upbringing,( an abusive father or a condescending mother),are usually heavy drinkers or drug users,majority of women who stay after being abused were brought up by overaggressive parents either the father or mother,hence the rationale in their thinking that they deserve the abuse,(i.e i abused him first,i came home late,another man called me..) after all they went through the same treatment as a child ..
Note this is not in anyway supporting abusers but its meant for people to learn either before entering relationships or even when in one already.cos trust me the signs are always there..
An overtly verbally aggressive man especially when drinking or arguing is a clear sign of an hidden abusive nature,a man who has a need to control every social aspect of his woman's life is a potential abuser..
While an abusive woman will be known by snide remarks at her husband, raised voice when in a convo, nagging attitude, and will definitely have issues with other men in which she claims the victim..

You're saying this because you have the wisdom to...my dear, it is not always easy to take a stroll..there is a saying that the moment anger come in wisdom will depart..infact, it is very easy to type "take a stroll when you're are angry" but the truth is " take a stroll when a woman or a man is angry is one of the most difficult task to accomplish when anger is in possession.

i am able to type it because I do it often. I sometimes play phone games, go grocery shopping etc it might not work for all.

However, As an individual that knows himself to be quick to anger or give wild reactions to anger,it is a necessity to know how to tame your inner beast. It is an individual race to tame the beast inside of us, we all have that beastie side but it's only a matter of how we have trained it. walking away works for both parties. Am I missing something here or your response is personal? No where was it stated that she verbally abuses the man.
