Family / Re: Curcumcision Of Female Children by yfirstson(m): 3:04pm On Dec 09, 2014
KoloOyinbo:
In Europe male circumcision is relatively rare unless for medical reasons. In the USA it is quite common, probably more than 50%. I dont really know about middle east and asian cultures.

As for the barbaric and savage practice of female genital mutilation which damages the child for life I thank God that in all developed countries is is illegal and considered the worst form of child abuse. Let us educate parents everywhere about this evil practice origination from a desire to control a woman.

Male circumcision is good for only cosmetic reasons, it adds no other value to the person. However FGM is a crime against humanity. What FGM does essentially is taking away an essential part of sexual life of a female.

APC is cloning voter's card but DSS could not provide a single evidence, not even a single cloned card was recovered from the data center.

Only a fool will believe this bullshit.

Politics / Re: Man Punished By Soldiers In Lagos For Crossing An Express Road by yfirstson(m): 3:41pm On Nov 04, 2013
idupaul: The soldier has overstepped .. He should have handed over the guy to the appropriate authorities so the Lagos traffic edict can be applied.. What I see here I just plain intimidation meaning if the guy does not obey him he would shoot the guy for crossing a road and this clearly goes against why the law was put in place. The law was put in place to protect the guys life and as such the penalty of breaking such a law can't be a punishment that is a probable threat to life
You are right on point. But fools will disagree with you, don't be discouraged.

You must be a clown to think GEJ aint failing, your universities have been on strike for close to four months now, BH is the government in the North and you still think you have a government that is not failing.

TechyGuy:

I am not a hypocrite like you. Like I said, If you claim they are too slow in repairing the road, I will support you on that. The person you are defending sounded like the road is ABANDONED. Read his post, that's why I replied. They are working on the road, but in my opinion, they are slow. So stop the hate and get a life.
For your info, I also use the numerous terrible roads all over Lagos that have been from bad to worse, 14years after ACN/APC government. So keep your rant about celebrating mediocrity, you who dance to any tune by Tinubu and ACN/APC.
Yes, 14 years of ACN/APC's rule in Lagos and Lagos has numerous achievements to show for it. Tell me what your sorry ass has to show for 14 years of PDP's misrule in Nigeria. Is it the corruption, the cluelessness, the terrorist taking over a section of the country and killings that has been going on unabated while your so called achiever watches on. I asked you to tell me any country where roaad construction is a parameter for measuring government's performance and true to your type (mediocre praise singer), u can't mention any.
Politics / Re: Tinubu Is Ignorant And Mischievous - Doyin Okupe by yfirstson(m): 12:29pm On Oct 15, 2013
TechyGuy:

I am not blind especially to your misleading tactics.
My point is that they are on that road repairing it, whichever portion they choose to do first is their lot.
You and your fellow is sounding like they have neglected the road.
WORK IS ONGOING, they will get to Coconut - Liverpool stretch, that's not the only terrible portion of the express my friends.
So you also can still attest to the fact that there are many terrible portions on the road that has been under construction for years. It's so shameful Nigerians like you celebrate mediocrity.
Where else in the world is road construction used to appraise performance of a government. And even at this simplest and stone age metric, Jonathan's government is still failing so woefully.
Politics / Re: Tinubu Is Ignorant And Mischievous - Doyin Okupe by yfirstson(m): 10:12am On Oct 15, 2013
TechyGuy:

You are a very wicked and mischievous person. I ply that road daily.
Julius Berger has been on that road since 2011 as far as I can remember. They are currently at Cele - Ijesha stretch and also at Berger - Coconut stretch at full capacity, so I don't know what you are talking about.
The major cause of traffic on the road is because of work ongoing.
If you say they are a bit slow, I might agree with you, because I think so, not this mischievous comment here trying to mislead people.
Are you sure you are not blind? Is there any work that has been done from cocnut to liverpool? That's the section mentioned and it's one of d worst thing you can see in the world.
Politics / Re: Tinubu Is Ignorant And Mischievous - Doyin Okupe by yfirstson(m): 9:41am On Oct 15, 2013
Tinubu might be called a thief or whatever name, but politically he's an outstanding success.
What is Doyin Okupe? A long standing political failure who out of frustration condescended to what Yorubas call "omo olomo la ran nise de torutoru".
Let him once again put his credibility to test and contest in 2015. I bet Okupe cannot win an election not only his ward, but even his household.

Also Police is not the only corrupt outfit in this Nation
That woman who is got a family is now made unemployed,no thanks to the fact that senior officers benefit from the (Roger) sitting down in their offices...
You that is happy, note this: Nobody HOLY PASS
Am not trying to support the act,but let not justice be not only in the tent of the defenceless and less previleged

You must be one of the crazy policemen. Shoot somebody dead first for recording you extorting and see how you will rot in jail and be hanged in d end. You are a complete shame!

Business / Re: UBA: What's Killing Your Great Brand?-A FOLLOW UP AFTER MEETING UBA GROUP by yfirstson(m): 5:44am On Sep 11, 2013
sleekysol: First of all I would want you to understand some basic facts, UBA isn't the problem as a matter of fact what u experienced was unfortunate because you dint get the full picture. CBN policies on account opening has become overbearing. UBA did their best to service you by opening the account but putting it on debit freeze. Your refrees were actually the issue most likely from another bank which could take 6months at serious cases to get back but thankfully banks have E-referencing now which will shorten the time for that. You need understand that CBN has a lot of policies and banks that fail will be sanctioned hence the reason for the supposed service failure here. Am talking on a general note because truth is am not a UBA staff but if you walked into any other bank you probably might find same challnge in getting your dorm account opened. Please Nlanders let's seek knowledge before condemning so much is happening around us that we take for granted but later get agrieved at.

You are talking trash. Was it CBN dt caused his name to be mis-spelt? Was it CBN dt made CSO nt to tell him abt minimum operating balance?
I am surprised u are here giving excuse for service failure. You must be working in a bank in d league of UBA. Do you know what UBA staff call their bank? Useless Bank of Africa. That should tell u d type of service u get frm such staff.
UBA brand is dead, simple!

Any good unbiased nigerian will agree Jonathan and his wife are the most tolerant and coolest first family nigeria has ever had.

Nobody could have insult obanasanjo and stella or abacha and his wife on a regular basis the way they have belittled Jonathan and his wife.

Not possible. If he thinks he can do it with APC, by all means let him give it a go and let us see. But he knows he cant, that is why he has refused to leave. But you just cant eat your cake and have it, simple.
Please what is anti-party about having an ambition? And why should he leave PDP? Is Jonathan the owner of PDP and when did it become a sin for any other party member to have ambition? You are as ret*rded as PDP leadership!

Politics / Re: GEJ Should Be Impeached - LA Times Joel Brinkley by yfirstson(m): 9:43pm On Mar 25, 2013
pro01: Someone should kindly tell me how GEJ's (2 year) administration is worse than OBJ's eight years in power. I have since concluded that shallow people (which describes many of the most vocal critics of the present administration) hate GEJ not necessarily for his actions or inactions, but because of his person and persona.

(Un)fortunately, GEJ is not as rambunctious, belligerent, swashbuckling, untamed, and uncouth as Obasanjo, which makes him seem less exciting and therefore 'worse'. It's all a matter of perception; groundless perception based on appearances rather than substance.

How, in cold facts and figures, is corruption - all forms of corruption - worse under GEJ than it was under Obasanjo? Nigeria earned the highest revenues in her history during Obasanjo's eight wasted years in power. How did that tell on our lives? Were the roads better under OBJ than they are now? Was the power supply better than it is now? Were our hospitals better equipped? Was there greater infrastructural development under OBJ than now? Was there less wastage of public funds under OBJ than now? Was the Rule of Law better observed under OBJ than it is under GEJ? Was general insecurity any less under OBJ than it is today (minus the emergent Boko Haram phenomenon, which sensible people realise is a political ploy to return power to the north)? Was the public service more efficient under OBJ than it is now? Most importantly, did Nigerians have more food on their tables under OBJ than they have today under GEJ (despite the fact that the country earned more courtesy of record crude oil prices during OBJ's eight years)? What then, is the basis for maligning GEJ as the worst thing to happen to Nigeria? Could it be merely because of his unpretentious appearance and underwhelming personality? Or could it be because of his unfashionable trademark hat? Because of his perceived lack of 'swagger'? Is that enough to justify so much baseless hate?

Do you so easily forget that the highest number of politically motivated assassinations occurred under Obasanjo, and ALL of them (including the murder of a serving Minister of Justice/Attorney-General) remain unresolved?

Again, how can anyone forget that political corruption, which is arguably worse than financial corruption, was elevated to official state practice under Obasanjo? In Nigeria's political history, has there been any election worse than the 2003 and 2007 general elections conducted by Obasanjo? Compare that with GEJ's demonstrable resolve not to tamper with electoral processes - which has seen the freest and fairest elections in Nigeria's history take place under him (e.g. Edo, Ondo, Anambra, Imo, etc). Gradually, the phenomenon of election-rigging is becoming extinct, primarily because GEJ refuses to endorse such, even to his own party's detriment. Can you say the same for OBJ?

Have we forgotten how Obasanjo sought to ALTER the constitution to prolong his stay in power through a dubious third term provision? Is that brazen act of political corruption not infinitely worse than pardoning a penitent convicted man?

I can go on and on, but the imperative of brevity constrains me. The fact is that we cannot judge GEJ in isolation. He had predecessors, and if we cannot prove how his administration is worse than those of his predecessors (especially OBJ), then we have serious issues indeed.
Your writeup is so baseless and lacks substance. Is there anywhere in this article where this administration is compared with Obasanjo's. There no point comparing two evils.

Car Talk / Re: One Or Two Leg Driving For Automatic Vehicles? by yfirstson(m): 6:26pm On Dec 31, 2012
This is the most astonishing thing I've ever read. I can't even imagine it; driving auto with both legs? Accelerating and braking are two activities that are not supposed to be performed simultaneously, u should only do one @a time. In all car designs (Auto or manual), same single leg is supposed to be used for both accelerator and brake and the second leg for clutch where clutch is present.

No wonder GEJ said more accidents happen on good road, I don't pray being on the road with these 2 legged automatic car drivers. Chei!
