Question: Antioxidants - What Are Antioxidants

I'm 30 years old. I keep hearing about antioxidants in skin care products, but I'm not sure if I need to use them. What are antioxidants, and should someone in their 30's use antioxidants?

Absolutely.

To make it really easy to understand, antioxidants prevent and actually repair damage to your skin caused by free radicals such as the sun, pollution and smoke. All of these things cause your skin to show signs of aging, such as wrinkles and discoloration. By using products with antioxidants such as serums and moisturizers, you're skin is soaking in the antioxidants to protect your skin.

Because you're just starting your 30's this is a great time to add antioxidants to your skin care regime. You'll get a head start on the aging process that's to come in the next decade. Stick with products that you don't wash off. Serums in particular are a great way to get antioxidants into your skin because they sink a bit deeper into your skin's layers than a moisturizer. If you have oily or combination skin, a serum may be all you need to get the moisture needed. If you have dry or normal skin, you may want to add another moisturizer to your face after your serum sinks in.

~Dead Serious Yjay! I'm 32 & lets say i still get asked for ID sometimes when i'm buying alcohol I always put it down to having good genes . . .My Nan & Mam havent got a wrinkle in sight so i'm counting on that!


~I suppose i'm getting to that stage when most women start worrying about the effect of "Old Age,Wrinkles" but i dont feel that way[i]Just Yet[/i]. . .me think i'm just comfy in my skin as it is right about now . . the here & the now w/o the added worry of something that might or might not appear on me face!


~I always figured folks over 40/50 need anti wrinkle/aging cream. . . .My understanding of such products is it claims to diminish the lines of wrinkles. . since i dont have any,what's the point of using it exactly? I'm actually a tad skeptical about using Anti-crinkle cream products & all the stuff in the ingredients. . .dont wanna jinx my genes i Kid! I'm going to read up more on it tho. . .

Trying to justify her actions, since he already gave u your CAB FARE, which u couldnt afford, y didnt u just turn down the offer, ? and y did u exchange numbers? For a sec, i think your story is twisted, seems more like u wanted him to call u back. U were already in a cab. the split second decision of saying 'no thank you, iv gotten a cab' and yes thank u il hop in your ride wulda changed a lotta things.

i wouldn't have wanted to share this but it is a story i cannot bottle up in me too long,

My female friend had her birthday recently, so i stayed over and helped her sort things out. At nite,  we were gisting about her birthday and she mentioned that the guy bought her a  phone, gave her money for drinks and also gave her his audio system she used for the house party. She met this guy barely two weeks and he as all nice,

The next day, she was going to the office, the guy came to pick her up, i told them to drop me at the closest ATM since i was low on cash, ma friend said no that "her guy" will give me cash for transport. The guy did give me cash and they dropped me off where I'd easily get a cab.

After waiting for 10 minutes, I finally got a cab, as soon as i entered the cab, the cab driver told me someone was calling me, behold it was my friend's "guy" beckoning me to get down. I went to meet him and he was offering to drop me at my destination.

I hopped in his car and we gisted a bit, we exchanged numbers and he said he was going to call me and my countenance to his first call will determine if he will ever call me again.

I was wondering if i should tell my friend before she called me and was asking my opinion about the guy, it was obvious she liked him.  I cant tell her yet bout him till he calls  me!

im a bit confused! wat happened to your friend during this time! cos u stated u waited for 10mins,did he also put her in a cab to disperse her quickly so he cld spend time with u or he s dropped her off at work already? did u ask?
wat exactly do u want to tell ur friend? cos him stopping the cabdriver & asking u to come down which u did, for him to take u to ur destination & finally exchanging numbers doesnt exactly put u in a good light.

Many things will be flashing round his mind and his mind will be in turmoil thinking about HIV, if his son is his, the shame, the scandal etc  unless of course he probably knew about the affair before and the poster just had his head in the sand up until then.

Besides if the trip was that important he wouldn’t have left his passport at home. What if he lived in badagry or Lekki, he would have missed his flight anyway.

I have noticed that the poster keeps on mentioning figures in his post; “I opened a 5 million naira shop for my wife”, “my Honda Itec or whatever”, “my 20 million Naira business deal”

…, personally it puts me off & probably put his wife off too.

I repeat; money isn’t everything. That’s why you sometimes hear of wives of very rich men sleeping with their drivers.


It’s a very strange story and the more I read it, the more I begin to believe that there is more to this story.

really girl trust me u wld not know how to react unless u were in his shoes! i bet the first thing on my mind wld ve been "need to get out of here ASAP" & since the only reason he came home was cos his passport he might as well go ahead with the business trip! but trust me that doesnt mean he wasnt thinking abt wat he witnessed all thru the trip, he did the most sensible thing anyone given the same circumstance wld do! women needs to use anti- age at 25 up , it helps a lot to keep your youth last for long , than start using anti- age when u see wrinkle .
Good to use vitamin E as well.

are u serious i think you should, they really make all the difference, im sure u look amazing but u can look even better! its more like a preventive measure! i'm 29 but most pple i meet find it hard to believe! of course coupled with multivitamins & fruits! some ingredients in some of these anti-aging products make all the difference! we ll talk better when ure online!

@poster - i ll be frank with u! i'm not married so i probably might not be the best person to give advice! its so easy for pple generally to attach a blame to someone-( it was the devil blah blah blah!) but comm'n its ur wife we r talking abt not just some random babe, the mother of ur son, she threw caution to the wind & forgot the institution called marriage! yeah i agree no one is perfect but not in cases like this, this is a much more serious & life threatening issue, she cldnt even wait for u to get to ur destination before bringing in her lover not knowing whether u had issues with ur flight or not! while u were trying to go look for how to make a living for ur family that includes her she was shagging herself away!

Please lets not kid ourselves, taking her back is putting u & ur boy at risk! her excuse some silly blood covenant she entered into which for me makes matters even worse cos a blood oath is something that shouldnt be taken likely! Personally i think there has to be more to this story! it just doesnt make sense for him to ve gotten married 2 yrs ago & the church not taking action tlll now! who knows maybe a thorough investigation was carried out on him over his alleged breakup with his first wife that the church found conflicting! but there has to be more!
