* Try and ask yourself "Why did I invest in Living Trust mortgage bank and what are the prospects for me?" There lies your answer.
* Then follow your mind and don't be too greedy if you're not a value/long term/dividend investor.

Note: Living Trust is a dividend paying stock and released improved result in Q4 2022, Pre-tax profit rose with +33%.

Transcorp OS is about 40billion

transcorp generating capacity(atleast two generating plants) is about 4times that of geregu
It means something is not right somewhere with Transcorp Plc, or maybe it has to do with the total issued share capital or so.

Geregu has 2.5B with around 2.38B belonging to the owner. smiley

All the power plants in the Country have been generating power but below their capacities while the fg keep spending money on them, hence the decision to privatize them by selling them to prefered bidders. They are still struggling to generate adequate power to the National grid and even to maintain the power they generate. Transcorp Plc is a conglomerate with diverse biz interest including Power generation and it is listed but Transcorp Power is not. Transcorp plc may have stakes in Transcorp power. Discos Such as Ikeja Electric, Eko Electric, Ibadan distribution co etc buy power from gencos and distribute/sell to consumers.
The only listed GENCO is GEREGU, could be one of the reasons it also has hedge over others.
If Transcorp is also generating power, then we need to know if this is impacting on the profitability of Transcorp Plc.
You're right that they're still struggling to generate adequate power to the national grid, the power generation is still below 5000MW agreed upon.....

Don't mind me. Thanks for shedding more light.
No be say I know much about these things grin ...but will try and read more on why Transcorp's share price remains so low and ridiculous......if indeed the Coy has a power generating arm.....and more importantly, if it's impacting positively on margin base of the Coy.

Yes Geregu has been growing since last year it was listed. This year alone, it has gained 46% again.

Transcorp Power is a genco. They own Ughelli, Delta State 972 power plant.
Transcorp owns Afam 966MW power plant in Rivers State since 2020.
Has Transcorp Power Ltd started generating power? ..,..because I didn't see it in the list of the active Gencos.....and I'm just aware of their successful bids and all that; but that Transcorp is a distribution company so far.

If Transcorp is a Genco, then what's the issue with them?
Could it be that there's the need to separate Transcorp Power from the Transcorp group then?

Geregu is a Genco company and can't be compared with Transcorp, which is Discos.

Aunty Mercy, see my second paragraph here ooo. On a more serious note, I have nothing against the stock. NSE is a market so there's something for everyone!
It's alright then Oga mi. No vex.
What I'm just trying to say also was that sometimes, if not most times, patience is required to benefit from some of these stocks after due diligence must have been carried out.......like Oga Emma said.

Some stocks may start delivering immediately they're identified, some not immediately.

See the case of NAHCO. Some experts already saw the potential in NAHCO when it was trading @ circa N2 .......but quite a lot were pessimistic towards it due to immediate issues in the sector that time.
Even at N4, think I can remember calling Peter's attention to it, but he wouldn't touch it with a long pole self.... grin ........now many are just seeing it when it already delivered around +300%.
CP gave a fair price of N13......doesn't mean it will get there immediately.....but with more improvement, it's achievable.

You passed the baton to the new set of investors that will hold the kaya for another decade at 20kobo!
Well done sir.
I don dey note those posting against this stock in case of future reference. wink

One thing with Nsempa is that we always want magic and quick quick things...... One of the reasons some ogas stopped recommending stocks.
Immediately we noticed that someone or an entity was mopping, we expected the price to start jumping and deliver+100%, 200% or more sharp sharp, and... If it doesn't go according to expectations, we felt jittery. This type of stock is better picked with spare fund.
We will keep eye on it sha. tongue

This is NGX where unexpected do happens.....also, we can't win all every time.

E.g. NGXGROUP's fair value was predicted in 2021, it doesn't come to pass until 2023 Feb, some sold at loss, some jumped out thru the window, some others thru roof top of the bus, but what happened? It eventually delivered.
VITAFOAM was predicted to be N8 stock by @CP when it was trading @3.20 or thereabout, it took some years for it to manifest, thereafter, it was predicted to be 20 and worst case scenario to be N14, it didn't happen overnight.........UCAP, MTNN, etc.

Happy Vals Day.

Oga just leave that your Fidelity alone for now.......
Fidelity stayed longer at Circa 3, whatever makes you not to sell that time should make you leave it now.

Look for other non-perfoming stocks in your portfolio to sell........just try and check with the Ogas too before selling.
Try and convert FIDELITY and UCAP to your dividend stocks.

Thanks a bunch and God bless you, selfless Lady.

Pls o, I'm tempted to jump into STERLNBANK, which sin did they commit that kept them where they are?
Bless you Pastor Vee.
Happy to receive upgrade from you sir. grin

As for Sterling, it was selling around 1.31 or so, not too long ago. Would have been a good time to jump in.

Maybe the sin committed was paying dividend.....lol. Just joking and also saying based on observation of how high it was selling before they started paying dividend but relegated to 1.50 region when dividend started. Lol don't mind me.

If interested, try and see if it goes below 1.50 and pick.
Sterling paid 0.10k dividend last financial year, maybe they'll throw some goodies this year too.
I Blvd it will move at the right time sha.
