Chapter 13 Payment and Funding of Contract There are three ways payment or contract can be funded. These are; 1. Company or Organization pays you a certain percentage before work (e.g 705 ) and complete payment after job (30%) 2. Company pays All before job is executed 3. You finance all the payment yourself and the company pays you after job is done. I will advice you that you should never attempt 2, its risky and if project is big way above your capital you will have to source for funds of might be difficult. Also to avoid stories of the organization not paying you after job done do not attempt case 3. Please, Please Please avoid payment case 2. I had a nasty experience on this. I never lost, it was one, if not the most successful business deal i have done till ,date, however i had to go sourcing for loan. No one gave me listening ears, i had to source for funds. Though all things went well and i executed the job well. Lesson i Learnt: Never try to go above your ability all in the name of pleasing a client. |

Summary / Quick Tips on Proposal 1. Always attach printed pictures of past works to your proposal. Note please print the pictures of your previous works in color 2. If you like you may use a computer and projector to present your proposal to your clients. (Though this is really not needed most times, except where you need to impress ). 3. Avoid Lengthy proposal. Nigerians hate reading, also proposal should be short precise concise and straight to point. |

1. Communication 2. Missing Goods 3. Weight of Item 4. Appeal Communication: NonnyKings has agreed to redress the issue of Sub-zero level of Communication. He solicited support of you all in tackling this issue. 1. WhatsApp: Henceforth, anybody that want to communicate with NonnyKings on WhatsApp should follow this format Name: Ymodulus TheSpecialOne PhoneNo: +23480... Tracking No: 45585888 Message: ( state your reason for contacting him. please go to straight o the point. No greetings or asking how he his, understand that he has to reply other customers. ) Note!! Any WhatsApp message with hello, how are you and conversation in like manner will be ignored Calls: From 6 am (Nigerian Time ) to 12am Nigerian Time no whatsapp message will be attended too, only calls. Missing Goods: NonnyKings attested to the fact that there are over 150 goods at his office without Name or Phone Number and all efforts to get the owners of these goods have proving abortive. After series of talks, we came to the agreement that All missing goods in his office will be sent down to Nigerian from Saturday Via Normal Shipping. This goes to say you can visit their office from upper week to check in for your missing goods 3. WEIGHT Discrepancy: I was made to know that the issue of weight discrepancy between is due to difference in scale type. Most Sellers use the Non-Digital Scale (Kitchen type of scale used for selling sugar in china ), while NonnyKings/ Airlines use the digital scale. Now the kitchen scale does not give accurate weight like the Digital scale. To address this issue, a digital scale has been acquired for the Nigerian office. This goes to say that anyone who have good with Nonnykings will be able to weigh his/her goods to ascertain the accurate weight before leaving their Nigerian office. Note!! The use of the scale at their Nigerian office will commence last week of November. NonnyKings wishes to apologies to everyone and appreciates your effort, feedback. He also solicited for your support by giving him feedback on where , or what you feel he his doing wrong. To show his heartfelt appreciation from the Month of December all importers will get a little souvenirs in return for patronizing NonnyKings. Also the best customers for the year will be awarded. “Thank your customer for complaining and mean it. Most will never bother to complain. WRITING A PROPOSAL Proposal is a key essential point in this business. It goes a long way to determine how you are perceived by your clients and how well you can win your clients heart. I do understand, that as Nigerians we have this lackadaisical attitude towards reading and writing. So i have decided to make this explanation as SIMPLE, SHORT, PRECISE, CONCISE and INTERESTING as possible. So to achieve this i have decided to DISSECT a sample proposal below. PROPOSAL MODEL www.nairaland.com/attachments/1851837_newpicture2_jpegb4a9927b57595c21139b281436119a72 www.nairaland.com/attachments/1851838_newpicture3_jpegb7998dd6e515323353a33bb0a28bdef7 Let us Expatiate on the above proposal 1. Letter Headed Document: In writing a proposal, you have to use a letter headed document. You can design it yourself if you are good with systems or you can pay a business center to do it for you. Which ever your choice is follow this rule a) Logo: Design and use your logo. Your logo can be at the left or right. However its best to have your logo at the left as this makes the proposal interesting and this is usually the norm for western world. b) Header: This is your company name c) About Us: Give a brief description of what your company does. d) Contact: As the name implies. 2. BODY a. To: The organization / company you want to give the proposal too. b. Letter Heading: Heading of the letter Paragraph 1: DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE Paragraph 2: State the problem you identified in the firm Paragraph 3: State the solutions to problem in paragraph 2 Paragraph 4: Talk about your prices and anything cost and days of delivery Paragraph 6: Give them samples of your past work. ( I mean make u show dem pictures of work u don do before. ) 3. CLOSING paragraph 7: Closing remarks and Your name with signature or you can ignore it NO 8: MOTTO of firm. So i believe the above steps will help you

Simonvic, 1. Position of the STORE and UTILITY: I Will say you totally have the utility removed and move the store to the position of the utility. Reason been that a store should have a window to the outside of a building for smell sake. Also the position of your store close to the bedroom is a no-no for me. I dont see the use of the utility 2. DINING to KITCHEN DOOR ( Brown Color ): Please push back the dining to kitchen door so it can come downwards and readjust kitchen, because from the look of things you will have a hard time positioning the pipes of your sink and others. Remove the set-back of 2250 mm make it straight, this will then enable you properly adjust the dining room to kitchen room access. The way your kitchen door is located at the middle of the kitchen demarcation is wrong. Too clear access. Also i think ventilation will be a problem here. 3. Guest Room ( Area marked white ): Push it back wards and re-arrange the location of the toilet. I noticed your toilet window for the visitors is close to the family living room area and you see smells can be bad. Also you probably do not want to hear funny sounds of a visitor using the toilet ( e.g flushing, a visitor stooling etc ). Just readjust this and push all that backwards. 4. Sitting Room to Guest room Lane ( Straight Yellow line ): Its bad in my opinion, sir someone in the sitting room will see through the visitor area. Also sir i think its too open privacy. You get me. 5. AREA MARKED BLUE: Re-adjust all those area completely. MY OPINION: Go for plan 1 if you cant completely re-dress the lapses in plan 2 Thanks Ymodulus.
